I used to fly Southwest a lot, but lately Delta is cheaper that so called low cost airline on many domestic flights. Plus on Delta people are more classy, not the WT and you don't have to listen to stupid flight attendants jokes.

They lost my baggage twice. Every Delta Employee in ATL was useless and all but one was rude. The 2nd time my bag was lost was back home - FNT. I was told 3 hours. I returned in 5 hours. no clerk. The 800 number told me clerks were not answering the phone. I walked over the counter and went into the back room where I found one sleeping and one apparently finishing a nap-she was straightening her clothes and looking a bit stunned Delta's answer - 3,700 FF miles. If they aren't on Airtran no thx.

@piratesonline1... you are wrong. Delta doesnt fly own Saabs or Regional Jets. Those are flown by the Delta Connection carriers and working for one of those carriers doesn't even guarantee you an interview at Delta...

@piratesonline1 Im not 100% sure but to be accepted as a Delta in flight pilot you must train at the Delta Connection Academy which is in FL. To train for in flight operations (flight attendant, baggage etc..) they train in Atlanta or Salt Lake City.

@piratesonline1 yes, while in training you'll start out in prop planes. Its all about seniority, when you first start out as a first officer for delta you'll be flying saab's and regional jets. eventually you will work your way up through the Airbus's, 737, eventually 757 and 767 leading up to the 777 and 747!

Delta Rocks! I've never had trouble with them. I've flown with them since I was a baby and I still stopped. I've flown US Airways once... terrible. Let's just say they got a complaint and had to hand out some free tickets.

Severe clear is a term pilots use and severe clear is the last type of "weather" that would delay ANYTHING!!! Go check Portland's weather records!!! I would have made it on time if Delta would stuck with their releasing me (AKA MY MONEY" to United.

I have flown via Airlines hundreds and hundreds of times and you bet, I get hit with a delay or cancelation often enough that I never this this fired up. Delta canceled the first flight, announced it numerous times. Fine, I call up my travel agent, Delta ok's transfering over to United which is about to begin loading on the other side of the term. Get down there, Delta now has decided to bring in another A/C and won't honor what they already Ok'd. Not good, Delta!! This is 1st flight only.

I hope Delta doesn't start charging for drinks and isle or window seats. I think Delta superior to all other major U.S. Airlines. Statistically Southwest is the best in the U.S., but in my opinion, Delta is the best. I've never had a bad experience with them. C'mon man! It's the largest airline in the world!!

Delta is the best! And I agree Business Elite is the only way to go! I fly that fairly often but sometimes I just fly Economy. I dont want to 800 dollars for a 2 hour first class ticket when I can get it for 300 in Economy but long flights I fly Business most of the time!
