This is a "pricked earred" jack russell. Their ears stand up because they do not have enough tissue at the top of their ears to weigh them down. My sweet Dolly has the same kind of ears.

No. you have to train a dog to do that. But they LOVE to play all day long so if there are not enough toys he will try to bite you because it wants to play

As puppies they like to mouth, arm legs etc. the sooner you stop tolerating his cute nibbles the less likely they are to bite-play later on. (won't let mine play alone with a child under 7.)

Play structured games; fetch/ retreive (mine loves to go with me rollerblading) often and they will not grow up to be agressive or porky! 'Tug of war' ruins my Jrt's behaviour for a few hours though, Read as much as you can about this breed, as some of the best tips do not work for this smart dog.

hey i have a prick eared jack russell too. it dosent mean hes not a pure breed its just a default in conformation. however it isnt recognised in the breed so you cant show them, and ur not allowed to get them pinned anymore. still love him and hes the best friend i could ever ask for!

that jack russell is adorable!!! shame our jack russel doesn't like water, we've never tormented him with it, maybe we gave him his first bath too soon!! (when he was really young!) but he is a big baby!he's a bit of a wuss at times but i still love him, all his expressions he makes, makes me laugh!!:)when you say walkies or milly (our cat) he tilts his head, sometimes he moves one of his eyebrows as if he 's thinking wtf! lol=]

the reason for the ears pointed is because the are going in puberty 4-9 months old after the go back normaly my jack is in the same stage

no we don't clip Jack Russell ears, just the tail. She could also be a mix but some Jacks have pointed ears because of their genes. but still a wonderful dog, no? :)

Thats a JRT with Prick ears. Rat terriers in comparison to JRT's are thinner and slightly larger than a standard JRT. The cutey in the video is a short leg JRT with prick ears.
