Good: added and extented current cutcenes. mgs 2 engine.

Bad: boss fight music changed. voice acting. Most old lines are changed even.

+ and -: some old music has has on but also altered.

That's my only complaint. Sure they wanted to make it more exciting by adding more to the cut scenes.

But I guess some people felt more emotional watching the original the first time. Notice I said "watching" Cuz this game practically is a Movie.

I preferred the original version for its difficulty and voice acting (I find it a shame they couldn't get together the originals besides David)...But you have to give it credit. Some of these remade scenes are -very- well-done. The action portions are thrilling, and some scenes just make me pause the video to laugh (An example being Ocelot dropping his gun and mentioning the auto-fire feature).

@MordvsTheWorld Actually believe it or not, these are the original voice actors. The makers were just going to bring David in and use new actors for the others; to accommodate the fans, he gave up some of his paycheck to bring the originals back (heard this in a radio interview with him on YouTube). They (for whatever reason) chose to have Naomi, Mei Ling and Nastasha speak with regular American accents instead of the accents they used in the PSX version.

@loriwood01 Really? Thanks for correcting me on that. It's a shame that they chose not to take on the original accents. It really added a sense of variety with the characters rather than just having everyone speak 'Mericanese.

This Remake of the original MGS is way more easy then the original.

in the Original you can't shot in first person.

in the fight whit mantis lying on the floor won't help and to get that Sniper rifle you must go all the way back again and the securety where you fighr Raven is 10 000 time better, now this is the Kid's versjion of the game.

if you wan't the best versjion you play the original.

Only the best can do it.;-)

I watched a full walkthrough of the original MGS for PS1 & honestly didnt notice any difference in voice acting skills. I think no matter how good a newer version get it will never be enough to satisfy a nostalgics who is stuck in the pass.

Tbh i prefer the original over this, but the thing I like about this remake is, they used the graphics engine from MGS2 and incorperated it into this remake. That and the M9 handgun is back :3 which makes taking out enemies easier because then you wont need to worry about sneaking up on enemies. Now the thing I dont like about this game is how they went so far as to make them too badass >>; keep it short and sweet like the original lol
