Thank you, Jon. When I said I was forgetting names, yours was one of the them. I know I can speak for the Spoonman when I say we're extremely grateful for your help and support.
FYI, our evidence packet is nearly ready to send to London. I've poured over the logbook several times & only a few of the signatures failed to meet the GWR standards. A few more could be cut if GWR feels they have to, but the number we'll be submitting is 1,352. Once again, thank you all. Thank you Chris Zink & the Zink Signs crew for the banner, thank you Joe O'Connell, Marica Walker, Roger Moon & all the other reporters who publicized the event. Many thanks & much appreciation to all involved
This is the guy who was wearing the blue shirt/white hat @the registration booth & probably looked pretty busy between 11 & 12:45 on the 4th. I just want to thank everyone who helped leading up to the 4th, showed up to play, & those who selflessly offered aid w/ the madness of registration when they didn't have to...Ann, Earl (thanks, dad), Kara, Alice, Rhonda & those whose names I'm forgetting @ the moment. I'm proud of & grateful for all of you. It takes a village...& the village came thru.
Want to help Steve break a Guinness World Record? If so then be @ the park in Pekin, IN by 12:30pm on July 4th. The Spoonman will conduct a short workshop on how to play the spoons before attempting to break the GWR for "largest spoons ensemble" currently held by 888 people in China.
Everyone is welcome so bring the family, pick up a free pair of spoons & simply play 1 song with us. Registration will be open 8am-12:30pm July 4 by the stage @ the Pekin Park. Register early to avoid long lines!
