Ok, so I'm 19 and have had the same girlfriend for 1½yrs now and our relationship is stronger than ever. But I believe that you are 100% right! All my friends now a days are always googoo over a guy or girl then two weeks later theres a status on facebook bashing them. My mom said that when she was 16 her parents never let her go out EVER. but now I'm a 16 year old male and my parents let me go out in my car but I don't want to simply because my FAGGOT ass friends never invite me and Im pretty sure I have social phobia

and i think being single just means that you havent found that right person yet its not if they can handle themselfs or not or being more independent because people who do have bfs can be both of those things having a bf doesnt automatically mean that you only think about your bf and that you cant handle yourself and that you need to have a bf all the time. some ppl are like that but not all ppl.
i dont think that 15 is too young to date at all, really its not the age tht maters when your dating its how mature you are because like a 13 year old can date someone, they might be young at age but if there a very mature person then they can have a good relationship with someone ya know? but obviously we all know that the chances of finding the person your going to marry in high school is very unlikely! i agree the ppl who NEED to have a bf are pathetic! im not 15 yet and i've had 2 bfs..

I feel the exact same way! Honestly, I can say I haven't felt any pressure because at this point in time, being only 15 years old, I don't feel its necessary to have an intimate relationship. There are tons of couples in my school and it's not that I don't feel happy for them, but I think the whole relationship thing is played up in high school. I don't personally believe that you can commit to someone at our age anyways considering most people are self-involved weather they do it intentionally
