If you look at the live version done By Hunters And Collectors it is made a lot simpler by putting the Cappo on the 4th (as posted by roadofrarotonga )
Good work on the lesson, just a curiosity? During the verse I think they skip the A making the progression E, C#m then B, then in between verses they return to the intro progression of E, A, C#m then B. Thanks
Good workman, i learnt it, although im not sure what order to play the chords in, i know its there, but im not really good at verses and stuff, could you possibly send me a message with the entire song with the chords? might be aa bit much but i'd aprecciate it, thanks again! :D
Yes of course the 7th, thanks for pointing that out - clearly in la-la land when writing that. It no doubt would have become apparent when I went to play it!

C-F-Am-G verses 1,2 and 4 and outro
and
F-Am-G verses 3 and 5

The problem with that is you don't get the nice sound with the muted strums but yes that is a much easier way for a beginner to play it.

Thanks so much. I love this song but I've never been able to play it.
This is the first song I ever learned with bar chords in it :) Thanks

Dude,
I've never actually considered using the A and B on the 5th and 6th! lol. Suddenly there's a whole new avenue to vary the structure of the song!
Great work! I'll have to revisit this song and come up with a good variation.
Cheers and keep posting!

Makes it heaps easier to play the muted notes oh and the B is the 7th by the way, the 6th would be A#/Bb. THanks for the comment!!
