you know the music gets much better as you get into it, shame you dont get the full song in the intro, you get it at the end of the show, but some bbc anouncer allways ruins it
Overall pretty good. The music played when Peter's face pops up is Colin Bakers 'second' theme... the rockier theme before that is Peter's Theme... and Tom Baker's last season :)
this video and music is excellent, but as i listen to the themes, one could call them 'degenerations' because there is a marked and steady decline in quality after about 1986 in the themes, they, in my opinion become terribly 'tinny' and 'thin' and even dare i say it 'clumsy' It was only with the new series that the theme returned to its substance of music. thanks for this though
Brilliant job merging all the different versions of the theme tune together. As a long time fan of Dr Who (my earliest memory of watching the show on TV is watching Jon Pertwee regenerate into Tom Baker) this was a very enjoyable trip down memory lane, thanks.
i only like and know the new series, so looking at the intro's of all the previous doctors is pretty cool! i really like how you did it! especially with the music.
yeah right, you do know that any dr who fan, or even anyone with basic knowledge of british tv shows circa 1960s knows that there are around 100 episodes of the classic series that are lost.
the 5th Doctor said in the ep ''Mawdryn undead'' (i have not seen it yet myself) that he only has 8 regenerations left. in ''the Enemy within'' (1996 movie) the 8th Doctor says ''a Timelord has 13 lives'' but the Master ''broke the rules'' and had a 14th witch was a snake that can take over a humans body
(2) the 10th Doctor learns that the Master was back too life thanks too the other Timelords too fight in the Timewars (rumor says we will see this war in the next season!) the Master was granted new Regenerations and we see his 15th and 16th last season...than again who knows howmany times he regenerated untill that episode...maybe he now has unlimited lives...we had...so there is hope for the Doctor of cource there are no more Timelords too grand him more...
well its hard too follow a 44 year canon...but i do wish the BBC will make season (series) boxsets...yes they destroyed a number of eps from the first 2 Doctors (i belief) but still complete season boxsets of say Doctor 3-7 should be possible its 100s of episodes i know maybe season boxsets of every Doctor say start with the 4th?
yeah but i don't really like the ''one story a disc'' thing they are doing now...so far i only buy the Dalek ones -i do have a few others- and the new series (as season boxsets)
Go back in time and get some copies. Lets wait until the BBC do that. Maybe the wiping was a rouse, they were sent to the future. An effect/cause causality.
they might do full doctor boxsets once the new format war is over, as they wont need to worry about using higher resolution video that takes up more space, allowing for more episodes per disc.
wasnt that the master who got more regenerations not the doctor, i mean he still has two regenerations left by my count he dont need to panic just yet
maybe the Doctor will die after his 13th live (would be fun too see a 13th Doctor thinking that at least) then he dies but somehow get 13 more live...or even an unlimited number, i do hope that they will write a good story and not just give us a 14th Doctor and say ''13 is the limit? nah here's nr 14'' but this will be a problem years from now...if the show is still on...
yup although in the 1996 the master had apparently used all his & was destroyed but he made a come back in season 3 so maybe the doctor has a backup plan lol
Wonderful vid. You are very talented. Ron Grainer's original theme was very good with the bass sound and I am happy how they have kept the same sort of tune throughout the whole Doctor Who Series.
Superb! It just hit me, though -- none of the shows' opening sequences after Sylvester McCoy had a picture of the current Doctor in with the "time tunnel"-like effects and TARDIS shots. Maybe the next series with Tennant will rectify that.
A lot of people, my age even, will not truly appreciate this. Fpor myself, being a "who" fan has been a generational thing. I was brought into the fold by my older brother in the early 80's, and he was brought in by our grandpa in the 70's. So I REALLY love this compilation. I only hope when yhe next regeneration happens, it will be just as fitting, just as clear, andm as grandpa would have said, "Nothhing short of making the Roadrunner look slow motion"
Both David and Freema have signed the contracts to series 4 which starts filming in September/October. John Barrowman (Captain Jack) has already started to film Series 2 of Torchwood (anagrame of Doctor Who) back in June ready for series 2 episode 1 in October...
As I said in the description, I didn't make the music: I took it from "Regenerations 2006" by Nick at whomix dot trilete dot net. I simply took a fantastic piece of music and tried to make a video of it.
Now if you started reading this dont stop its really scary! Ok send this to five other videos in 143 minutes. Has anybody noticed how violently the TARDIS flies through the time vortex, before hand it was just slowly gliding through space rotating peacefully.
(the answer is of curse the new and improved CGI effects compared to the crude effects of strings they must have used originally)
But the story explernation must be that the timewar some how messed up the Tardis.
