  • So retro.

  • 18 Daleks watched this vdeo

  • coooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • I love the middle eighth of the 2007-2010 theme. It's so triumphant, compared to the purely 'adventure'y wee-ooh.

  • My friend, you made a truly EPIC vid! Well done!

  • It would have been good to use the Orbital remix on the 10th Doctors intro sequence, it still was immense though!

  • I love it so much! It's amazing!

  • THE INTOS OF PEOPELs FACES COMEING TO THE SCREEN I THNIK IT IS VERY BABY MUSIC WHEN THE FACE COMES TO US

  • for peter davisons titles you put 1981-1981

  • I wish they would put the 'face' sequence back in the credits

  • They are with Matt Smith, so i hear.

  • David Tennant is my favorite Doctor. :)

  • You did a great job of blending everything. Thank you.

  • Ohhhhh. Goose pimples!

  • Well done!!!

  • I love how the different versions blend together so well. This truly is an amazing and haunting piece of music. Thank God for Ron Grainer.

  • Yep. Gives me goose pimples. It's weird how music can have such a physical effect.

  • cool but not the best one i have seean.

I wood rate it 4 out of 5

  • VonAether this is good but DT took over as The Doctor in the Xmas spesh in 2005 so it should be 2005 - 2009.

  • I heard this track on whomix, i thought it was superb. Its even on my I-pod.

  • Doc Who rules. Great job!!!! I Loved It!!!

  • Great mix! Love every version of the theme.

  • Bravo!

  • Fantastic tribute:)

  • Excellent! You have made a very slick and professional looking, and sounding video. 5 star!

  • I agree with 2:18! Doctor Who is the Greatest Show in the Galaxy!

  • would anyone happen to have sheet music to this? preferably something I can transcribe into the key for trumpet? many thanks in advance!

  • Wow. Excellent. I enjoy how the theme sont itself regenerates as we go...

  • you know the music gets much better as you get into it, shame you dont get the full song in the intro, you get it at the end of the show, but some bbc anouncer allways ruins it

  • This is awsome. Thank you!

  • It's a shame that there are still tons Dr Who episodes from the early years missing

  • Awesome

  • very good I like the 7th to eighth theme

  • Overall pretty good. The music played when Peter's face pops up is Colin Bakers 'second' theme... the rockier theme before that is Peter's Theme... and Tom Baker's last season :)

  • That was a DAMN good mix!!!!

  • Somebody needs to add the new Rockier guitarier Doctor Who theme from the new season. The one with the different coloured time vortex...

  • I love the season 4 theme sounds soo kooolll

  • i really wish i had a tardis , do do de da , i love doctor who do do de da , :)

imagine the doctor in the matrix

  • Thanks for making it, but the musice went alittle too fast for the visual themes.

  • this video and music is excellent, but as i listen to the themes, one could call them 'degenerations' because there is a marked and steady decline in quality after about 1986 in the themes, they, in my opinion become terribly 'tinny' and 'thin' and even dare i say it 'clumsy' It was only with the new series that the theme returned to its substance of music. thanks for this though

  • i like the early theme tunes and the new one best, the middle ones are not the greatest in my opinion

  • Brilliant job merging all the different versions of the theme tune together. As a long time fan of Dr Who (my earliest memory of watching the show on TV is watching Jon Pertwee regenerate into Tom Baker) this was a very enjoyable trip down memory lane, thanks.

  • Thank you very much for posting this. ^^

  • Good sh***T Go the Doctor

  • it was brillian how you merged all of the intros

  • The infobar at the side has more on where I nabbed the mp3. I don't know if that site's still online, though.

  • It's great...the transitions/regenerations...however it would have been great if you had included pictures of the last 3 doctors.

    But nonetheless great job.

  • Unfortunately, they stopped including pictures of the Doctors in the intro after #7.

  • oh! I didn't realize until after I saw the intro again. I thought you had found the pics of the doctors somewhere and inserted them yourself.

Still great job! It was done so well....I didn't realize!

  • you forgot the first doctor

  • Um, no, everything from the beginning to 0:26, as mentioned in the sidebar, is from the first Doctor's intro.

  • What editer do you use and are you interested in working for me?

  • i only like and know the new series, so looking at the intro's of all the previous doctors is pretty cool! i really like how you did it! especially with the music.

  • Brilliant. Not just with the video, but especially with the sound! Really good work linking all that together!

  • congratulations to the video maker

  • I think you did an excellent job, this was awesome, well done!

  • yeah right, you do know that any dr who fan, or even anyone with basic knowledge of british tv shows circa 1960s knows that there are around 100 episodes of the classic series that are lost.

  • Then step up and claim your Dalek, sir! If your claim is true, then you'd be in the headlines.

  • Awsome!

  • Excellent job on the music editing. I enjoyed it.

  • this music is so much better than the new one

  • i love this. i'd also love to see what you could do with all the themes from Power Rangers

  • Very good!

  • Crazy to think this already needs updating since they changed the theme again in the Christmas episode.

  • ITS CHRISTMAS!!! oh man cant wait for Father Chistmas too get here because tomorrow he will bring a Doctor Who Christmas special

    HO HO HO

    ooooh there he is!

  • Might be nice to ask next time you rip a video from TV Ark !!

  • because youre 14? whahaha!

    just kidding

the 5th Doctor said in the ep ''Mawdryn undead'' (i have not seen it yet myself) that he only has 8 regenerations left. in ''the Enemy within'' (1996 movie) the 8th Doctor says ''a Timelord has 13 lives'' but the Master ''broke the rules'' and had a 14th witch was a snake that can take over a humans body

  • (2) the 10th Doctor learns that the Master was back too life thanks too the other Timelords too fight in the Timewars (rumor says we will see this war in the next season!) the Master was granted new Regenerations and we see his 15th and 16th last season...than again who knows howmany times he regenerated untill that episode...maybe he now has unlimited lives...we had...so there is hope for the Doctor of cource there are no more Timelords too grand him more...

  • (3) or maybe all the Timelords are immortal and was 13 just a limit set by law?

  • ...well had...

    not

    ...we had...

  • actualy, he was shown to be able to take over bodies to get more regenerations back in the penultimate tom baker serial "the keeper of traken"

  • well its hard too follow a 44 year canon...but i do wish the BBC will make season (series) boxsets...yes they destroyed a number of eps from the first 2 Doctors (i belief) but still complete season boxsets of say Doctor 3-7 should be possible its 100s of episodes i know maybe season boxsets of every Doctor say start with the 4th?

  • you do know that in the UK, DVDs are a WHOLE lot more expensive than the US.

  • yeah but i don't really like the ''one story a disc'' thing they are doing now...so far i only buy the Dalek ones -i do have a few others- and the new series (as season boxsets)

  • Go back in time and get some copies. Lets wait until the BBC do that. Maybe the wiping was a rouse, they were sent to the future. An effect/cause causality.

  • wen i travel back in time i don't buy anything because of very high time border prices its a real pain...:-)

im sorry but im not sure what you mean...

  • i'd buy em! especially if they started at the third onwards

  • okay...but i'll wait for season boxsets. and there are rumors

that if all the storys of one season are on DVD we get...indeed

  • they might do full doctor boxsets once the new format war is over, as they wont need to worry about using higher resolution video that takes up more space, allowing for more episodes per disc.

  • i see you mean the 'war' between Blu-ray and HDDVD?

i only have DVD at the moment and no plans yet to buy a new format player

  • wasnt that the master who got more regenerations not the doctor, i mean he still has two regenerations left by my count he dont need to panic just yet

  • three actualy.

  • nah he gets 12 regenerations and he is on his tenth, his first incarnation counts as well remember

  • regeneration to 11

    regeneration to 12

    regeneration to 13

dead forever unless he does what the master did and steals a new body or uses some other method to get more regenerations.

  • great work...

maybe the Doctor will die after his 13th live (would be fun too see a 13th Doctor thinking that at least) then he dies but somehow get 13 more live...or even an unlimited number, i do hope that they will write a good story and not just give us a 14th Doctor and say ''13 is the limit? nah here's nr 14'' but this will be a problem years from now...if the show is still on...

i wonder who will be the 24th Doctor....

  • i have the regeneration music from a friend who was at dimentions and i have just found it placed it on my fave brilliant

  • That was really good!

  • maby because he is the last he can strech for as long as he wants?

  • WICKED!!!!!!!!

  • damn that was good. Well done!

and yup it's tru: Time Lords have finite regenerations. (oh man how do i know this?! i'm such a geek! LOL!)

  • yeah me 2 lol but its so addictive :\

  • best Doctor Who tribute ever nice1 sad thing is the doctor has already regenerated 10 times that means he got 3 lives left :(

  • what u meen

  • a timelord has 13 lives & he's used 10 of them already so when david regenerates thats 2 left :(

  • surley not

  • yup although in the 1996 the master had apparently used all his & was destroyed but he made a come back in season 3 so maybe the doctor has a backup plan lol

  • *1996 movie*

  • Yeah, fool! Dr Who is the best thing ever!! UP THE IRONS!!! EXTERMINATE!!!

  • WOW! I grew up watching the Tom Baker years. Awesome tribute.

  • Forgot how good this was. My farking was well timed.

  • ello great piece but you missed a Dr. Where was Paul McCann?????

  • I didn't miss anything.

From 2:20 to 2:47 is a cut of the intro to the Doctor Who movie.

  • I LOVE this video! I too am a fool for Doctor Who

  • Wonderful vid. You are very talented. Ron Grainer's original theme was very good with the bass sound and I am happy how they have kept the same sort of tune throughout the whole Doctor Who Series.

  • Amazing!!! Thanks so much!!!

  • Excellently done

  • Thanks! :D Glad you enjoyed it!

  • Well Done! You did a great job in blending all the theme songs together, it was very seemless! Loved it!

  • Its amazing that they still have the same theme song. Most shows foolishly will keep changing them.

  • Absolutely first class. Well done - and given I remember the last seven Doctors you've made a happy man feel very old!! :)

  • There was a site I was reading that told u what the next episodes will be of & I'll tell this much THe Time war + 10th doctor = 11th doctor

  • Excellent. Love the transitions from the original up to 2007! Brilliant stuff!

  • brilliant, bloody brilliant, top quality. and a fully deserved well done

  • i have to say the DR WHO theme is possibly the best ever not just one but all of them were great and its good that they didnt change it

  • Has anybody noticed how violently the TARDIS flies through the time vortex, before hand it was just slowly gliding through space rotating peacefully.

(the answer is of curse the new and improved CGI effects compared to the crude effects of strings they must have used originally)

But the story explernation must be that the timewar some how messed up the Tardis.

  • rub

  • awesome

  • I might just be an old fart stuck in the past, but Tom Baker is the ONLY Dr. Who for me!

  • i love the tune when it changes to tom baker Its Cool!!!

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!

  • you gotta love the 8 bars, very well done ^_^

  • Superb! It just hit me, though -- none of the shows' opening sequences after Sylvester McCoy had a picture of the current Doctor in with the "time tunnel"-like effects and TARDIS shots. Maybe the next series with Tennant will rectify that.

  • Nope, no face shots, but have shown the TARDIS flying through the time vortex in the Eighth, Ninth, and Tenth Doctor openings.

  • crying all the way through, well done

  • A lot of people, my age even, will not truly appreciate this. Fpor myself, being a "who" fan has been a generational thing. I was brought into the fold by my older brother in the early 80's, and he was brought in by our grandpa in the 70's. So I REALLY love this compilation. I only hope when yhe next regeneration happens, it will be just as fitting, just as clear, andm as grandpa would have said, "Nothhing short of making the Roadrunner look slow motion"

  • Happy to be of service.

  • Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!

  • Perfect video. Favorited it. I still gave you a 1 rating.

  • Why only a 1 if you loved it?

  • Very Good!!!

  • yeeeeessss love you david i love you and john i love you both

  • you really think so ?

    ye he could actually

is david leaving us this saturday? (please say no)

  • Both David and Freema have signed the contracts to series 4 which starts filming in September/October. John Barrowman (Captain Jack) has already started to film Series 2 of Torchwood (anagrame of Doctor Who) back in June ready for series 2 episode 1 in October...

  • I think Ewan McGregor could be an excellent Doctor.

  • Thanks for this. I can imagine the joy on someone new to the show to find out that it has a history

  • As I said in the description, I didn't make the music: I took it from "Regenerations 2006" by Nick at whomix dot trilete dot net. I simply took a fantastic piece of music and tried to make a video of it.

Glad you liked it, though. (:

  • very well done a rare treat for dr who's number 1 fan

  • well made! great vid!

  • well made! great vid!

  • Glad you enjoy it! You can download the MP3 I used from whomix dot trilete dot net.

  • heyyloo!!!, this bideo is amazing!!!, i also love the way the old tune became the new its amazing, u r god!!! *worships at ur feet* lol

    xxxheatherxxx

  • cool best one so far

  • it was off the tv i got the same thing

  • how the hell did you do this it is amazing

  • Very well done :)

  • it started whit an older gentelman William hartnell and ever since it has just gotten better and better.

Unlike most shows how don´t know shit abot the meaning of pauses Doctor who has shown that its does, the newer shows are just as great as the old ones.

  • their is only one word to some up this vidio, incredable!

  • I like your video clip and have rated it as awesome. Please check out mine on some Doctor Who & The Daleks trading cards from 1965.

  • That was really cool! I loved watching and hearing the evolution of the titles and theme. Brilliant!

  • That was superb - everything went well mixing the old with the new. 5 stars...

  • Fantastic !

  • dont you just love those 8 bars?

  • theres only 1 thing wrong the correct sound sequences

  • Just one word: Bravo!

  • nice sound editing - especially towards the end .

  • No, he didn't miss any... The Doctor Who logo shown between Sylvester McCoy's face and Eccleston/Tennant's Tunnel Effect & spinning TARDIS effect is in fact from the opening title sequence from the 1996 Fox TV movie.

  • I, personally, just wish we didn't have to count that Fox movie & Paul McGann....

  • Frankly, I think Paul gets a really bad rep from that FOX movie. I agree, the movie is crap, but his performance as the Doctor is really sharp.

  • Yeah, I agree, I aint a fan of the Movie but I loved Paul McGann's portrayal of the Doctor, it would have been interesting to see his on screen portrayal.

  • As my previous comment explains, no I didn't.

  • Nice. But you missed one. You jumped from the seventh doctor to the ninth.

  • No, it's there. The big blue "DOCTOR WHO" logo (and the beginning of the time vortex) from 2:20 to 2:47 is from the introduction to the Doctor Who TV Movie, starring Paul McGann as the eighth Doctor.

  • No he didn't. The eighth is the Blue Dotor Who logo

  • Brilliantly done, great to watch.

  • 5 stars no less can do it, you made each of the tunes fade perfektly over into one another, i would really HATE to see it gone taken away by the BBC or someone like that.

  • is bbc like America's PBS were they just do a lot of show most of the like programs you see in school or there really boring? and some times theres a good one on?

  • The BBC is the main broadcaster. They do allsorts, including schools, comedy and drama programmes.
