I find it strange that people, in particular protestants have this naive obsession in attempting to use the scriptures to contradict the RCC, excuse me, it was the RCC and the Orthodox church that actually compiled the scriptures into what we know it today. The protestant movement started in 1500's thanks to Luther, he himself was a monk prior to this, he didn't see any contradiction between the scriptures in terms of 'call no man your father' because he understood in CONTEXT.

Well, I guess we will have to agree to disagree. I do not call my priest Father as in God, I call him Father because he is a spiritual father to his flock. And, God willing, if I become a priest, I will become my flocks spiritual Father, their shepard, to lead them to those green pastures he promised us. Actually, there is an issue about these books because noody knew what book should be considered sacred. Take for example, it was not only Luke, MArk, Matthew and John wrote the gospels.There wre other gospels like those of Gospel according to Peter and others. Now, the point that I wish i would like to make it clear is that if you accpet the books of the Bible, you cannot deny that the Overseers of the Church were guided by the Holy Spirit in choosing what books should be included.

I would suggest you research the canon of the Bible. and also, are the people in the bibilical times are the only people inspired by God?
