@davidlegault5150 No it was either my 2nd or 3rd T45. The stocker lasted for 200 passes, but the rebuilt ones I bought were garbage -they only lasted 20 passes. Now I have a T56 and its holding up very well.
@greenflash00 It is a blow through setup, with a mondo bypass vented to atm, you have good ears. Sometimes, when I use a filter clamped directly to the blower inlet (instead of a powerpipe), the mondo is very loud and its more obvious than in this video .
@TGarzarel Awesome setup. I'm hoping to build a similar setup on a built 2v motor soon with a novi 2k or ysi setup. Best of luck with it man...You'll be in the 10s in no time.

Im sorry.. but 500 hp on stock internals of a 2v would handle the power... now on the other hand.. 450 hp is the only safe amount to push on stock internal rods... They are pressed metal and will crumble at that power.. Yeah it worked for now.. but not what I would call a dependable daily driver... Sounded and looked amazing though man.. good job on it :)

Since then, this so-called max has been creeping higher and higher.Blower cams put me over 500 rwhp. But I always used race gas if I beat on it on the dragstrip. you have 4.10s right? i have an 02 GT manual. people keep telling me to upgrade to 3.73 gears. but my only concern is that i want to be able to hit 60 in 2nd gear. will this be possible? because i know i can do around 67mph (redline...i know its not peak power) in second right now. but and 02 with 4.10s can go to around 50-55mph...can you help me?

@ianisgreek no it's not from the supercharger. i also have a centrifugal supercharger on my car and i know what it sounds like. the supercharger spins with the motor, so if that noise were to be the supercharger, you should hear it get louder, and then quieter when he shifts and the rpms drop.
instead, you are hearing wind noise which is constantly getting louder as the car accelerates. that is unmistakably wind noise.

I wish I had a built AOD. My ETs would easily drop by a half second or more. But doing the conversion is too much money right now, so I'm settling for a used T-56.

No, the stock shortblock held up fine, but my POS T45 from Promotion bit the dust. My last pass was an 11.03 @ 129. I was hoping to get into the 10's with the stock shortblock and a 5-speed, but it never happened. The car is all apart now for my new set-up.
I'm guessing this is an 11-sec car at least. Good acceleration through 120 that took about 10 seconds in this video so either a low 11 or high 10 sec car. Great vid!
About 50k miles, and 240 passes at the track. I put the blower on at 1000 miles. Power level was 360 rwhp, but gradually grew to 500+ rwhp with more mods over the next 10 years.
Probably a little over 130 mph with the 28" tires if I rev it to 6400 rpms or so. This was in pretty hot/humid weather. I'm hoping for 11 flat or 10.90s when it gets cooler
I have a forged shortblock waiting in the wing, but this one keeps going and going. I actually want it to die, so I can put the forged block on, with bettter heads, cams and get that 10 second timeslip.
