i watched the new episode from last night 2/12/12 i think it was called TWD "Nebraska"? ... my questio is what is the country or rock song they played at the end when the two guys get shot at the bar by the cop?
My favorite part about the walking dead and other apocalyptic type dramas like this, isn't zombies, or gore, or violence..it's the effect that it has on people and their struggle to retain their humanity. The relationships and heart-aches that they have to endure. The struggle to find the willpower and desire to survive. The way it can bring people together, or tear people apart. The Walking Dead captures human emotion's highs and lows and displays it incredibly. I can't wait til Feb 12th.
this show is not ment to be just scary. its thrilling, intense, and thought prevoking. really the zombies are just a small part of it. its unlike anything ive watched.

The correct title is Adagio in D Minor composed by John Murphy and used in most of his films as well as many others including The Walking Dead series. Several of his compositions are commonly used, and that's why they sound very familiar even though they may be edited slightly for the film.

@GeckoKing44...I love Hans Zimmer's soundtracks, especially Gladiator and Crimson Tide (which was ripped off by nearly every other action flick for ten years after). However, I think Zimmer's has a more regal feel to it. TWD is a little too dark and gritty at this stage to stray. Murphy's soundtracks have a more desolate tone to them. You can hear despair in his music. O a side note, Nick Cave did a great job composing the OST for The Road, a very similar feel to Murphy.

Yes, I know being a new and abbreviated season that a full score probably wasn't on order, but there could have been more. If there is a longe soundtrack, I would truly love a link to it, because my search for one ended in futility. Although fitting to the storyline and mood when they were leaving the rock quarry, I associate that soundtrack specifically to Sunshine.
