All they do is backup whenever I swing, when I stop, they come forward and hit me. (Literally i was killed in a second by a boar who attacked me 50 times in a row, and didn't let me fight back. That shit is retarded)

actually there will be a game called gothic 4 and one called Risen.

Jowood and Piranha Bytes (publisher and producer) split up and are now working on 2 different games.

Both will probably be similar to the previous gothic games.

Hey can someone tell me why my FPS are low when lots of AI involved? Is it because of my CPU or graphics card? FPS is normally around 40 with all settings to highest including AFx16 but not AA, it only drops in areas with lots of action to around 15 or less. Thanks.

it probably has something to do with your workspace then (your RAM) mine's 4Gb and it works fine, 1Gb should work as well but if you have 512, it might lag in crowded places like you say.

Thats one of the best parts of the game.You just press M(i think)and it shows you THE BIG WORLD and your this red arrow.If yur getting too lost use a teleporter stone.

Gothic 3 had great potential. Great musical score as well. Graphically it was on a par with anything else at the time. Looks better than oblivion to me, this is a PC GAME, not a console port. G3 had problems though, I couldn't play it more than half way through without getting bored. Very repetetive, and hardly any weapons.

I highly recommend this game, once you get past the bugs my patching and using the public patch made by the community this game is exellent, the story is awsome and gameplay is orignal. I'v played Oblivion and This and i think it pretty damn hard to say which is best, both have points that's better than the other, fx Oblivion has Awsome Voice acting, Gothic 3 has the open choice gameplay

the Gothic series shocked me at how good it was, and how good at story telling. Amazingly immersive. Once you understand why they did the combat like the did it, it just comes alive. Amazing epic experience to be had for all.

I can't agree with you. Gothic 1, 2 and night of raven were great games. The third part was embarrassing. Didn't you notice it all the bugs, missing femals and quests which are impossible to be completed? It was just unfinished.

Nevertheless I don't find it that bad. After all it has a beautiful landscape etc. And of course I'm a great fan of the gothic series.

I just hope the next part will be better.

You don't really get to create your own character. Instead, you play the same generic hero from the previous Gothic games, and of course he's forgotten everything that he learned in the last game.

Aside from that, there is a lot of killing, slaughtering, and wandering about. Also, last time I checked there were a lot of bugs. A heck of a lot. Still, the community really came together with their unofficial patches. Might be a worthwhile purchase now, as long as you don't expect perfection.

The only problem that I had with gothic 3 was that the people seemed a lot more static than they did in gothic 1 & 2. They seemed to be just there to run into for a quest or two, and didn't really bring any life to the game world.

I still think Gothic 3 is great tho!...

I like the style in G3 over Obli's, 'cause this Gothic could be something like Diablo 3D! (by the first look) while Oblivion is too "sterile" with it's perfect towns and perfect people, it seems like in Tamriel everybody's on a vacation. So in style and in atmosphere Oblivion looses. But Oblivion has a larger more open world, and Gothic 3 seemed like a Fable or something the design forced you to take just a few routes...but combine G3 an' Obli...WHOA!
