First of all german had an 20-30 years technologic advantage of other countrys in WW1 and still alot of technologic advantage in WW2. The other countrys copied alot of the german innovations. Also german was the language of medicine before it was changed after the WW2 and there was a voting in the USA about which should be the language between english & german (outcome was close)

Also Afghanistan was way better off, before the United States started attacking them. The so-called democracy resulted in election-cheating and poorness of the people, while it had a decent economy.
