IF your really honest' and take away the FERRARI LOVE for a sec and just listen, it really do sound crappy 'at idle' but all ferrari's sound great at higher revs. the best ferrari sounds come from the f355 , F50 , and many later models. todays cars 458, cali , exhaust notes sound tooo 'artificial/manufactured' and i miss the higher pitched 'scream'

My sti with 5k in parts made 430whp, not out of the box. The sc cobras are good cars, but the tiny trunk and terrible gas milage are impracticle. I also needed a car that had awd , because of my location. The cobras are great cars, but they tend to blow up when modded. I completely understand that jap cars are not as fast in a straightline as american cars, especially for the money.

Wow. Does no one know anything about cars? Rotary engines make good power for their size but have little torque because of the engine's ergonomics. They also drink a lot of fuel and aren't as reliable, but make very good engnes for race cars because they make good midrange and topend and race car engines don't need to last 100K miles. THey are a great design that was never picked up on, though the future RX9 will continue to be rotary powered.

The rotary isn't used as much because it costs more to make, etas far more fuel, and it can not sit for a length of time without seizing up. A piston engine is much cheaper (all car manufacturers are in it to make money. They don't want to go out of business now), good on fuel, respectively speaking, and can sit for a few years and turn over with a fresh battery.
