I don't think it has quite the heft of an emg, but it really comes down to what you're going for.

@TheAbcd1978 don't get a line 6, i have one and it sucks! if you can afford one, get a bugera 333, 333xl or 6262! they are about 400 bucks, and they sound awsome!

For the first half of it, the left hand stays on the 5th fret while the right hand tap 12-14-15-14 and then the left hand lets go and hit 12-10-9-10, using the high D string as a pedal tone.

how is the neck pickup on it? i know it's a single-coil version of the Air Norton, which i hear to be a good pickup.

but how does it sound? i have not actually heard an Air Norton before and there are no guitars on the walls of Guitar Center that have one in them.

The Air Norton S is pretty cool. At first I was kind of wary of it because I'm typically more of a bridge pickup guy, and I was concerned it would sound kind of wimpy. But I featured it in my Castlevania and Necrophagist videos if you want to hear it.

@LoForIAmColby ok cool. i'm kinda considering putting Air Norton S pickups in one of my Strats to make em a bit more metal.

though i'm having a tough time deciding whether to put Dimarzio passive pickups in, or to put a pickguard full of EMG actives in it.

@LoForIAmColby hmm... i'll probably go with the EMG's because they're really easy to put in. it takes like 2 minutes to swap out the pickguards, connect to the input jack, and snap a battery in. maybe later, i'll put an Edge Pro trem on the Ibanez as well. it'll be the TRUE Strat from Hell.

actually i'll probably just buy a Xiphos and call it a day... haha. the Strat is something that i wish to do in the distant future, though.
