  • goooood! which amp??

  • @Giuseppetiberi marshall dsl401,thanks

  • Hey great playing there! Love the phrases.

Could anyone tell me what the difference is between these pickups and the vintage noiseless ones please?

  • Clapton style

  • Could you send me a link to the backing track? Its really nice. Thank you.

  • @yeahthatsjesse send me e-mail and I'll send it.

  • Do you have tabs to practice this with or are you just improvising?

  • @GSXRtypechick All impro my friend,it's all pretty straight foward stuff.thanks

  • i luved this, you're so awesome, where'd you get the backing track?

  • @GSXRtypechick Thanks,give me your e-mail and I'll send the backer.

  • this is pure awesome. love the backing track too. what scales are you playin around in?

  • @LkJumper33 Thanks man just changing from pentotonic (blues scale) and a few major licks.

  • really nice listening to

  • @b1ackstallion Thank you

  • if you are plugging straight in, what audio interface are you using?

  • @Nosajjao No interface,me into the amp being recorded by the DVD cam on the shelf.

  • @snaskc you should get a line 6 pod or m-audio usb interface at least. It makes all the difference being able to record directly to a track in a simple program at CD quality audio or better. some audio interfaces don't even cost as much as the CS 69 p-ups and are easy to use.

  • @randompersonsband1 Yeah been there and done that and find that any good tone you achive is just lost with usb things.I play live with valve amps low output pickups and true bypass pedals.I guess i just like the old stuff/sound.people seem to like the clips i post so I'm happy to continue as I am...Thanks man

  • Yes, very nice tone indeed...and i love your economy of playing-you have mastered hanging back to allow the feel to develop, and generate a little tension. I tried some 'Tonerider' classic pick ups in my Strat and I'm very impressed with em, and the price is right. But your pickups are very quiet. Nice playing.

  • @GalaxyHorse Thank you for the kind words.

  • Man that is so amazing! Great job and nice pups.. ;) I would like to ask you for the backing track, it's also amazing.. ;)

  • A little Clapton , a Lot Buddy Guy and B.B. King ... and lots and lots of feeling .

  • Thanks again

  • great tone and very good playing!

  • Thank you,kind words.

  • Nice playing man , good tone

    long live the blues

  • Thank you man.

  • I have tx specials in my SRV,I like them not as much as the 69's though. The 54's sound great clean, dont know how they sound dirty,do you?

  • Hey Man, have you tried the texas specials' and the CS 54's ? I'm still have an indecision between them :-s

  • Nice man, keep on rockin'

  • Thanks

  • Like other people who have commented on your playing, I love it. Have you released anything on cd? I know it's a lot to ask, but any chance you could do me mp3s of the backing tracks on the play the blues set you mention-I've tried to get it but it's not available. I'd be happy to pay, maybe through paypal. Look forward to viewing more of your stuff. Regards, Graham (also thinking of buying a Buddy Guy signature strat-the blonde one-what do you think of them?

  • pretty good! i love strats

  • Nice man, if i could get that track on a mp3 would be nice, love that groove man, good job ;-) pickups sounding good too. , nice tone.

  • give me an e-mail address and i'll send it,thanks for the kind words, loved your channel and playing man.

  • Where did you find this great backing track? Very T Bone Walker and the playing is great as usual

  • Thanks, backer is of an old CD set called play the blues,3 cd set.

  • you, and this video is what made me get cs 69 pickups. simply amazing sir. thank you!!

  • Wow thank you man,how do you find them? you glad you got them?

  • @snaskc i love them, however i wish they reverse wound the middle pickup to get some noise canceling but other than that, great, again, i wanna thank you, you inspired me to play blues and help me find"my tone"

  • do you still get a nice quack in the 2 and 4 positions? I do,no probs man that's why i started posting vids so people can hear gear before they buy.

  • Killer licks and tone, man....nice and smooth like the blues oughta be. Keep up the nice work...

  • Thanks you man

  • woah, your awesome

  • Thanks man

  • i now realize you dont have to be good to get alot of hits....you just need technology......which is testament to the state of bullshit were in now.... im not hating... this is cool.... some lack of feel but hell develop it fo show soon..... timing is everything......

  • Technology? I checked your channel,Red house,I like your singing/voice but your playing is poor.Timing? yours is real bad, listen back to your clips.Dont get hung up on hits man,it dont mean shit! post a clip with the title "my wife's big boobs" and you will get 200.000 in a day.

  • @codehendrix

Are you mental. this is the stuff Hendrix based his shit on and it's nice to hear someone understanding the roots of the blues rather than just learning a few Hendrix licks. This is nice playing, that's why there's the hits.

  • Well said my friend, thank you

  • Very nice mate. Love the gold scratchplate.

  • Thanks,so do I

  • Thank you man, kind words indeed, hope the pups work out for ya,let me know.

  • Dude this is amazing. Sounds great. I have a 2008 mim Fender strat and have just ordered a set of cs 69's Hopefully i can get close to your sound. The way you play is so chilled the way blues should sound.

  • have u ever had any buzz on this guitar

  • Yeah get a buzz everytime I play it!

  • @snaskc string buzz?? and have you set it up??? cause i set it up perfectly and still buzzes cant figure it out

  • Brilliant, one of the very best guitar posts

  • Thank you ,very kind words indeed

  • Nice playing! You are really good musician!

I'm looking for some new pickups for my Mexican Fender. Is this model noiseless?

  • Thanks but no these are not noiseless and they dont even have the middle pup reversed wound for hum canceling.Great pickups though, fenders best if you ask me

  • i have my own strat, but that's by far the sexiest looking strat i've ever seen! the pickguard just kills it..

  • Thanks man,

  • ...Buttery smooth, from your heart, no doubt !

  • Thanks man

  • very nice and sweet :-)

I'm thinking of getting '69 pups for my strat too, I just don't know if it'll change the sound much through my amp (Fender Super Champ XD).

Any chance you can send me the backing track?

  • Great play!

  • Its the strat Sonic Blue? Just with a brown pickguard right.

  • @GuitarEbb i think its white, but that pickguards gold

  • That backing track, aside from your playing , is gorgeous! Where can I get it?

  • Thats guitar is hella expensive

  • I would say, Mr. B. B. K. has a smile of satisfaction on his face ... ;-)) Great! Thanks!

  • I dont know about that but thanks man.

  • Nice playing man! great feel and tone:), could you tell me where you got the nice backing track from? very handy for practise;p

  • Thanks man, send me your e-mail and the track is yours.

  • Its not bad, but its lacking in tone. Sounds like you're not even plugged into an amp.

  • hey , most exellent blues

  • thanks

  • clean or nasty distortion this will still sound awesome great playing mate

  • Thanks

  • Awesome playing. I want to be able to clean my playing up like this. Your playing is controlled and modest, that's awesome! Knowing when not to play a note is more valuable than "strutting all your stuff", ya know? Great playing and sweet tone man.

  • Thank you man, kind words. They say BB King is the master at playing the right phrase at the right time.

  • nice sounds! . hey mate , i´ve uploaded a new video in HD over "the thrill is gone" backing track , maybe you´d like to check it out.

  • Marshall dsl401 no effects.

  • Anyone know how these fair again CS Texas Specials? I haven't been able to play them both to compare.

  • I got 2 strat on with TX and other with CS69. You can get more articutaled notes with CS69 but TX is great pickup too. It got a more modern sound. CS69 is very vintage. If I have to choose I choose the CS69.

  • nice guitar)))

  • We gotta write a smokey song like this Steve! ..........John.

  • Hey my good buddy! thought i'd check your site out, great site my friend...........be seeing you soon to play some rockin blues...... chow.

  • Nice playing man. I am a huge BG fan. Is that strat a Deluxe?

  • Thanks man,Me too and Buddy is coming to the UK again this year....cant wait. The strat is a USA buddy guy sig,I have another video called project guitar and it's all explained there....check it out,,,thanks

  • I'm going to see him in April in Edmonton, Canada. I have seen him once before, it was awesome. Cheers!

  • yeah!

  • Nice playing - and nice guitars! I have one strat with Texas Specials and one with stock pick-ups. I'm considering putting CS 69's in the one with stock pick-ups. I guess you would recommend it? Is it possible to describe the diffrence between TS's and 69's?

  • Thanks, for me the 69's are more of a total package,So far, they have never failed at any tone/style I've tried to achive.IMO they are subtle when you want them to be,but they roar when driven. If money was'nt an issue I would have them in both guitars.T he Tx's can be a little brash sometimes as they are hotter.I just like a vintage sounding pup.Sorry if you was wanting a more tech anwser.Anyway you wont be disapointed as they will be a huge improvement ovet the stock pups. Thanks

  • nice guitar and tone!

  • Thanks man

  • can you send me the backingtrack? you're awesome!

  • Very good man, keep up

  • Thanks Jack

  • Awesome guitar work there, by the way what kind of pickups are in that strat, can't get over the tone.

  • Thanks man,fender custom shop 69's

  • oh man this is just so relaxing

  • Thanks man.

  • Wow you're a great player, lots of natural feeling.

It'd be great if you could upload this backing track as a separate video. It's one fo the best I've heard

  • send me your e-mail address and you can have it.Thanks for the kind words.

  • what a super clean sound very good :)

  • Thank you.

  • I love the way you play. That's the way blues should be played. What is that backing track? Is it T-Bone Walker? Buddy Guy?

  • Thanks for the kind words, backing track is off an old cd,send me your e-mail and i'll send it to you.

  • What Gauge strings are you using there mate?

  • Ernie ball 11's

  • I actually have the same logo as you have on your t.shirt on mine right now but bigger :P

    great tone!

  • Thanks,I have my tickets for buddy in july when he comes to the uk,my friend got me this T from legends, you ever been?

  • @snaskc yes, i've been there. but buddy wasn't :(

but I had a great time as there are always good performers and we had the club nearly for us.

not the usual atmosphere of course but a very nice conversation with the performing artist :)

I heard it will move soon though

  • Great! What's the color of the pickguard, i saw it on one of Clapton's guitars at Crossroads 2. Also, your actions seems a little high?

    Peace
