Excuse me dude, I have DirectX 11 but I think I need it updated so I can play the latest games because they ain't working so I go to the Direct X main website and update it and I get this error message while trying to install the program:
"A cabinet file necessary for installation cannot be trusted"
I'm just not sure what the problem is guys, can you please help me?
i really want to get windows 7 but its fucking BS cuz i just a little over a year ago i spent $350 on fucking vista ultimate and didnt even get C L O S E to my moneys worth with using it and gave me ALOT of fucking headaches trying to fix alot of the fucking crashes and compadability shit... well i've made me decsision *starts up Utorrent* :D well when it comes out im gonna pirate it, no fucking way am i gonna spend even more money for microsoft... greedy nazis
yeah i MAY, but when it comes out as a product im going to pirate it no doubt, btw if i get the RC version do i have the ability to transfer files over or do i have to does it nuke my HD and start fresh?
i dont know about vista but for xp there is a thing you can get off microsoft that would transfer your files and any way all xp files are put into a new folder named windows.old but things like games arent installed, i guess thats where the software that transfers files comes in and instals it again but my win xp was pirate so i had to reinstall all my games lol
Thank The Lord, and Thank You BCEMCOCATb, for bringing this simple fact to light. The Human Head demo is, in fact, an Open GL demo. However I do believe the Volumetric Fog (not frog) demo from the G80 launch was a Direct 3D app.
really all dx10 adds is support for different ways of rendering things, visually you can get pretty much the same from dx9....you wouldn't notice any less detail unless compared side by side. however, it DOES take longer to render with dx9, because obviously they've made improvements to efficiency
Windows Vista has dif types due to dif mem uses. Basic runs smooth with 1gig, Premium 2gig, and ultimate is 3gig smooth. Im running Ultimate 64bit with 4gig of ram and i still lag a bit. And im running the new Phenom procoessor. But my hdd is only 160gig. so that may be the issue. I only have 20gig left :P bad on my part..
ultimate and premium have no different ram requirements, i have 2gb ddr2 800mhz and that runs vista silky smooth, the reason you could be facing lag is problems with software that you are running of it, espescially as a few programs don't seem to work aswell with 64bit.
they could've make half life 2 look exactly the same with directX 8.1 and if you look at the orge demo of nvidia and other techdemos, you'll see that dx9 is far more powerfull than most people think it is
You're right, directX9 was a great rendering system. But its not the best in my eyes. When they went from 2d to 3d was prolly the best, don't remember which one it was though...
It could but it couldn't do the lighting effects and all the stuff you tend not to realise is happening because it looks so real. If you can show me dx9 doing exactly the same thing then I will be very suprised.
HD is a respective term and widely used it seems recently to sell sell sell. ppl who used to game at 320x240 will think 640x480 is mega hd. ;) 1080p which is I think quoted as true hd is 1920x1080, 1280×720 would be 720P. if you have a 30" PC then HD is 2560x1600 ;)
NVIDIA is the only way to go, but the face indicates that the scalp should be older looking, that's the only draw back for me personally with this particular video. Other than that, GeForce 8800GTX FTW!

Hi, i watched this video then i thought i would see if it would run at all on my xfx 8600xxx. I wish i could have afforded an 8800 but i was pleasently suprized that it ran the demo. Was slightly slow and laggy-i ran it in 1024x768 at 1 sample but it worked. Impressive demo cant wait for games this detailed

Subserface scattering, fresnel reflections, this is great! I think the specular color is a little too blue, but it's still very nice. I love the spherical harmonic lighting. Self-shadowing, great stuff! This had to have been modeled with Z-brush, it's just so high-detail. I just can't wait until they're implimenting real area lights and bouncing light instead of an infinitely small point where the light comes from.
Wow, dx10 owns. Nice card man, I am thinking of getting a 88GTS 640MB. If you have the money for good things... then why the hell not. Wish I could go 88Ultra.
A qoute "Human Head DX10 technology Demo in order to simulate complex skin shader and HDR lighting, each frame computed 17 screens and the total texture used more than 40 billion pixels and each of them used long Pixel Shaders." browse around and have a read. It works on various cards i think but only completly with an nv80 chipset.
I had already read that when i wrote but what does that have to do with dx10? Its opengl in the book gpu gems chapter 14. Opengl 2.1 i think with nvidia addons email nvidia and ask if its opengl if u dont belive me.
i said : ''8800gtx - today is good but tomorrow it's crap''
what do i mean by this is a 8800gtx looks great right now same as a cost on it but tomorrow nvidia can make 9900gtx n 8800gtx is gonna be fucked up maybe u want to ask why ? remember what happened to 7600-7800 ect card series it was cost alot 400-500$ i got 1 n after while like half year price falled down to 250$ n it been going down to the present day
now u can easy buy it for 150$ wtf? yeah right! this is what gonna happen to 8800gtx it became so popular cause of crysis n bioshock are pretty games n u can play these game at maximum settings but don't be so surprised when the next game will slow your system down because
ology of games are fastly growing up n 1 guy from e3 said that day by day we gonna make games better n better so what's the reason to buy a card right now ? the fraps? pay for frapsextra 400$ it's crazy n u'll understand it soon .
yeah its true but this is the same as everything mate. I bought the 88gtx in jan I think so i've had all these months playing at awesome res and speeds.
I could have sat there twiddling thumbs waiting, but I want to play. plus $600 really ain't a great deal of cash to me compared to how much fun I get out of it. I've got a car outside that cost
a lot more each week and it's just sat there looking good. spend it, have fun you cannot take it with you.
yep if u have enough money to buy things like that everytime and don't think about what i said above well... sorry then for bother ya ..i have nothing to say now .. thx for an answers n bye buddy.
@arty : Nah, Crysis looks incredible, but it doesn't look THAT good, hehe. So it should run real smooth, especially since crytek is optimizing it right now, and the dude in the vid has a bunch of programs open as well.

and overclocking does what exactly?

Change the clock speed of a component such as RAM, CPU, or GPU.

increases performance.

Opengl 2.1 i think with nvidia addons email nvidia and ask if its opengl if u dont belive me.

i said : ''8800gtx - today is good but tomorrow it's crap''
what do i mean by this is a 8800gtx looks great right now same as a cost on it but tomorrow nvidia can make 9900gtx n 8800gtx is gonna be fucked up maybe u want to ask why ? remember what happened to 7600-7800 ect card series it was cost alot 400-500$ i got 1 n after while like half year price falled down to 250$ n it been going down to the present day
alexXxUsaCa 4 years ago
now u can easy buy it for 150$ wtf? yeah right! this is what gonna happen to 8800gtx it became so popular cause of crysis n bioshock are pretty games n u can play these game at maximum settings but don't be so surprised when the next game will slow your system down because
alexXxUsaCa 4 years ago
ology of games are fastly growing up n 1 guy from e3 said that day by day we gonna make games better n better so what's the reason to buy a card right now ? the fraps? pay for frapsextra 400$ it's crazy n u'll understand it soon .
alexXxUsaCa 4 years ago
yeah its true but this is the same as everything mate.

So it should run real smooth, especially since crytek is optimizing it right now, and the dude in the vid has a bunch of programs open as well.

colinfirst002 4 years ago
Why becuase you like fraps.. regardless that it hogs resources so you don't get a representation of how the thing runs on that spec of machine..
