I'm always amazed by the audacity and egotism of christians. They say atheists are immoral because this or that evil person claimed to be atheist. When you point out evil people who claim to be christians, they reply that these are not "true christians." SO you, as an individual, decide who is a "true christian?" If a single evil atheist taints all who don't believe in a supernatural god, why does a single avowed christian not taint christianity.
The historicity of Jesus Christ is beyond dispute. The historical evidence is overwhelming. To deny that he existed in history is to deny reason itself. The only people who are promoting this historical fact are people with an anti-Christian agenda, and they do this poorly.
@Surfxeo What historical evidence do you think exists? If you are going to posit that Pliny the Younger, Tacitus, Suetonius, and others mention Yeshua; you should know that each of these persons were born decades after the supposed time of christ. There is no historical or archeological evidence of the time that indicates that a person known as Yeshua actually existed. Do you have any relevant evidence that I have not included?
@alphathefish You have the Bible as a reliable historical source. It is more reliable than other historical sources. Not only of the Holy land but also for the Middle East as far as Iraq. It was through the Bible that an ancient King called Akkad has discovered.
Almost all the New Testament was written before 70 AD.
You also cannot discount Pliny the Younger, Tactitus, Suetonius as that is also adequate historical evidence.
@Surfxeo So the bible, which has thousands of contradictions and hundreds of historical inaccuracies (e.g. no evidence of exodus, nazareth did not exist, etc...) is the ultimate historical record for that area of the world? Jesus is the Greek translation of Yeshua. If there was a yeshua, he would have no idea what jesus means. I can discount the aforementioned sources as they were not present for any of the situations they wrote about. It's all hearsay.
@alphathefish Nazareth did not exist. Your statement would insult Jews living in Nazareth today.
There are zero contradictions in the Bible and what you say about Jesus is a myth.
I take it you are not great in history. Let me increase your IQ.
There was once a man born in Macedonia born in 356 BC called Alexander the Great who conquered the world in a few years which setup a Hellenistic empire which in the following years made Greek the international language, just like english today.
@alphathefish There are zero contradictions in the Bible. Your statement that Nazareth did not exist would insult people who live there today. (Think before you type)
Mount Sinai (Jebel el Laws) has been found again and is precisly where the Bible says it is in Midian (Gal 4:25). There are also chariots found in the Red Sea.
You are aware that Greek was the main international language for hundres of centuries even after the Roman empire. Just like english is today.
@Surfxeo Yes, Nazareth exists now (as of 200 C.E.). There is no evidence that it existed before that, archaeologically or historically. Please don't presuppose that I have no knowledge of history as it appears I know far more than you. There are thousands of contradictions in the bible, you are deluded if you believe otherwise. Basic research would have alerted you to that fact. The chariots in the red sea were proven to be frauds in 1978, right after Ron Wyatt announced his discovery.
@alphathefish That is wrong. That is when it was "rebuilt" after the jewish revolt in 70 AD. Its even on the ancient maps. How can a map exist before the town exists lol
I can't believe your pride and arrogance. They were never frauds. You cannot fake ancient corel! That's like saying a fossil skull of a T-rex is a fake.
I read the Bible every day. I know exacly what is in it. You are deluded if you think you are wiser than God.
5 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. 6 Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart
@FREEAMERICANOW69 Get yourself a proper Bible first before you even begin to quote. Get the authorised Version. God does not support slavery.
It was Christians who were the first to condemn and ban slavery because the Bible makes it clear you are to love your fellow man.
Do you think georgian era of slavery had anything to do with religion? I advice you to read history for yourself and stop quoting other peoples ignorance.
The historical evidence says that Jesus Christ did rise from the dead.
@FREEAMERICANOW69 2000 thousand years of authority. The Authorised Version is based on the Greek Majority texts which are from the earliest churches. The AV is the closest to the original Greek versions.
What about Christians that had slaves. Does that make it right? No, Scripture is very clear on this.
Yeshua is Hebrew, Jesus comes from the Greek of the same name. The NT was written in Greek. There is more historical evidence for Jesus than for any other person of antiquity.
@FREEAMERICANOW69 I never said Yeshua was Greek. I said it was Hebrew. Jesus is the Anglified word for Insous in Greek. You do understand that names are said and written differently in different languages.
Slaves are never freed. That is the whole point of slaves. Exodus 21-22 does not talk about slaves no matter now you distort the texts. I have research most societies from history that had this culture and non are a human and civilised as the Jewish Nation for their laws.
@FREEAMERICANOW69 C.S. Lewis, who was an atheist, was an expert in myths decided to read the books of the Bible and discovered that is was written like other myth books but was more like a historical account. This made him change his mind on atheism and converted to theism, to Christianity.
@FREEAMERICANOW69 I don't think you understood my statement. C.S Lewis was an expert in this field. He was not a laymen with no knowledge on this subject and reading up on it once or twice. He worked, slept and life this subject matter. Neither was a casual atheist, he remained a commited atheist even through the war in the trenches of the first world war. He renounced his faith in atheim through intellectual endeavour.
With the knowledge we have today he would be a stronger Christian.
i understand and it's irrelevant, some author became a christian 70 years ago is moot.
he didn't have the internet, he didn't have the types of information that atheists have to day with science, that proves your religion is myth.
atheist is not faith.
if he ignored science, reason and logic to worship a phantasm in his mind based off this judeo-christian god myth. i have a whole play list proving your religion is myth with videos made by scientists...what do you got? faith. lol.
@FREEAMERICANOW69 Are you honestly suggesting that you are trusting what is on the internet. The place were anyone can put anything up? Do you have any rational discernment.
Science says nothing about the past. It only deals with the here and now. I do drag science through the mud to support your pseudo science of evolution.
My religion is based on hard fact. Christ lived 2000 years ago in Israel FACT. I can prove Christ existed but you cannot prove that God does not exist.
@Surfxeo The burden of proof is always on one who claims something. Please prove to me that the world was not created by the Flying Spaghetti Monster. You can't. So it was.
@newipad The burden of proof is always on the one who is bringing in something knew, what makes evolution so ideotic is it has not in 150 years scientifically proved it is real. Perhaps that is why you believe in the flying spaghetti monster. You make a very childish argument.
Evolution has been proven dozens of times and NO biologist has ANY doubt in evolution. Darwin proposed natural selection, which is just one component of evolution. There are many others. Natural selection is also proven. You misunderstand the use of the word "theory" in science. Gravitation is also a "theory." No physicist has ANY doubt gravity exists, or that general relativity describes it, though both gravitation and relativity are "theories."
@Surfxeo I'll bite. Please do that. Prove Christ existed. Produce peer-reviewed (ALL science is peer-reviewed by other SCIENTISTS) studies from major journals that have studied this to back up the claim the Jesus existed.
@FREEAMERICANOW69 Blind faith is all you rely on. I know that God exists and rules, I see His evidence all around me and what He did for me on the cross with was prophecied of old. He gave us His word and His word is true.
you believe that your god exists, you don't know...if you did, you could prove it and no, your fantasies are not proof.
you entertaining a phantasm in your mind that is based of this judeo-christian tyrant god from some ancient book originally created by ancient, non-scientific, bigoted sheep-herders isn't proof.
there is more evidence showing your god is a myth, just like zeus.
your god came in a set of three, what happen to the other two?
@FREEAMERICANOW69 Ah, we come to it at last. You are displaying your anti-semite bigorty at last. The Bible was written by Jews except for Luke & Acts.
My God entered into history which is backed up by historical evidence. The same one who created all things and who gave you life. All creation worships God and shows His works. Unbelievers are without excuse to deny His existance.
thanks for the way-out-there cup-out: don't you in your myth and i have historical evidence to prove your god doesn't exist, thus i'm an anti-semite because you have no argument against me and can't prove me wrong.
"My God entered into history which is backed up by historical evidence. The same one who created all things and who gave you life. All creation worships God and shows His works. Unbelievers are without excuse to deny His existance."
@Surfxeo Also experts in the field of philosophy and religion were Victor Stenger, Ayn Rand, and Friedrich Nietzsche. All of them remained atheists to their deaths. That some atheists become christians and some christians become atheists is not proof of the truth of anything. An NO ONE has "faith" in atheism. Atheism is the absence of faith.
@Surfxeo For every atheist who became a christian I can name 10 christians who became atheists. It proves nothing. Reality isn't determined by popular vote.
@FREEAMERICANOW69 A guilty person would be a fool indeed if they did not fear the Judge who has the power of life and death.
I have never known an atheist who has read the Bible beyond a childs level of understanding. Servant is a closer word than slave because it expresses an individuals relationship to someone above them in heirarchy. We all serve one another in some way or another. A parent looks after a child. A civilian serves a leader such as a president and so on
@Surfxeo If you plan to get into a historical debate with me, please research what you say before you say it, otherwise you just look foolish and embarrass yourself.
@alphathefish I am not the one who will be embarassed in a historical debate. I always do research. Everything I have stated I have looked into and checked out the experts. You better use the real experts and not wannabe's.
This guy is still in the matrix. Regardless of all the stories in the bible, the fact you believe in a space daddy, and that supernatural acts happen here show you are short one brick. No supernatural act has never happened on this planet. Please people of earth. Use Logic. Be honest with yourself , of all the prayers you have said, has one ever made a amputee grow a leg back? Google Randi Supernatural. A Belief in god requires supernatural events. Education People.
Read the story of Santa Clause they are very similar. A man who watches everything you do and say with a set of rules. One says if you break these rules you won't get toys on Christmas morning the other says if you break my rules you will go straight to hell, but I love you unconditionally.
Sorry, pressed send instead of back. I know not if HE exists, I Believe/hope He does. If you want to believe that, that's fine. By the way, what's the Shroud of Turin?
A very lacking response to a factual video. It is unness. to refute specific books of the Bible considering that the there is not 1 shred of evidence for a "God". Continued belief in archaic fairy tales is the result of childhood indoctrination and the lack of reason and education.
I know not whether God exists or not. I say He does. If you don't then,OK. That's your opinion and I'm fine with it. I'm just saying you should try and be good to people, regardless of religion.(There is someway they all relate, yes?) I don't know if it's the current state of zen I'm feeling,(which doesn't happen that often) but I'm just asking: can't we agree to disagree?
opinion is whether red is better than blue, a matter of a specific person's taste, the debate on god isn't about opinion, it is about facts. if facts prove that there isn't a god, then a whole lot of people will HAVE to change their beliefs because if they don't they will be seen as willfully ignorant. Whereas if red is better than blue, that is just in a group of people's FEELINGS and not FACTS..
I think ''The God Who wasn't there'' people that did the movies i am sure that the are right you think the going to spend that much money to make a movie and not recher anythink
I won't defend something that contains false information. I have never seen and don't plan to see this movie. It's pointless to try to find a movie that has all the facts anyway. You can throw it in the trash if you like. It doesn't matter. Do the research yourself and you'll find that there are many other resources (BOOKS, PEOPLE) that actually give the facts. Compare what you read in the bible (all of it) and you will find that the truth is simple: There is no god and Science is the answer.
Wow amazing you are really showing no facts just so called stating them, like where is pictures showing what mark or anyone else is saying so I can see if you are right but your way is easier to rebuttal with no proof.
@SpeakSoftly117 what proof is the other guy giving...its funny how your soo naive just because the other guy put his info into a presentation with graphics and gay techno music ......plus u should take a writing class its obvious u didnt goto college
@Notasheep187 Someone is raging since you spent the time to say I need to take a writing class yet you say goto, which is not a word or soo, which is also not a word. Its funny that you are calling me naive because I want some proof of what the guy is saying, I guess being non naive would be just agreeing to anything that someone says. Also the other guy gives historical facts, interviews, written books about Jesus and how he is alike other mythological figures, but guess those are not proof.
While I would concede that Jesus was not of the supernatural realm, I do believe he was a loving man and wise philosopher ahead of his time. Other than the more (or most) than likely manipulated stories placed into the Bible; Jesus was written about by the Jewish historian Flavius Josephus ((37 – c.100 AD/CE).
I am actually relli pleased so see this... Cause the person who made The God Who Wasn't There...Is only factual to the maker's misbelief and inacurate studies. I mean just read the bible ...Its sad that He went to these lengths to prove Jesus to be a false....The thing is to everyone who is reading this ...Jesus is living some may doubt that i understand believe me i do...But it doesn't change the fact of how real Jesus made him self to those who He Called like me.. Never the less i pray for u
Because there is no evidence for them, we can be reasonably certain enough based on probability to say that Santa Claus, Leprechauns, invisibible grass-growing unicorns, and giant invisible orbiting teapots do not exist. Since there is NO EVIDENCE for the existence of a god, we can also say based on probability that no gods exist. Agnosticism is a cop-out because when probabilities are taken into consideration, we are not talking about a 50/50 proposition.
I agree that it is impossible to prove 100% that there is or is not a god, just as it is impossible to prove with 100% certainty that there is or is not a Santa Claus, leprechauns, invisible unicorns that make the grass grow, giant invisible teapots that orbit the sun between earth and mars, or any such like. That, however, does not mean that the probability for the existence or the non-existence of those things are equal ... (continued next post)
@Highrise408 You see, an idiot, perhaps you should look up a meaning and root of the word with your '155' IQ. There is no equivalence between approval and disapproval when the evidence given by the proponent of the magic sky fairy can be convinced by 'the bible...'. That was what my comment suggested, you being a disgrace to intellect attacked. That is why you are an idiot. With a web banner IQ of 155 you should get that? Do you?
@Highrise408 You have completely failed to understand what I said to you. You attempted to make equivalent the process of proving and disproving. They are NOT equivalent or even similar. As there is ZERO 'evidence' for a God, what kind of human question mark would put them together? Your comment placed sky fairy belief and thought & logic in the same boat. That is why you are an idiot. Look up the word for the meaning; with an IQ of 155 you would understand this, why don't you?
@Highrise408 You really are a prime idiot. This section was about the hero folklore tale of the Son of God, who actually lived here on earth 2010 years ago. We know this for the bible tells us so, right?
@IceFurnace And look at the oxymoron, he joined in too without any understanding. Fantastic hope for the atheists with supporters like these who needs to make people understand, they will just go with a crowd they like. That may be idiotic however it makes the person a moron.
What does it really matter? Misconceptions are misconceptions. Often those who rebuttal are either feeling left out, or they are trying to convince themselves. Just the same can be said for someone who is on the offensive. Honesty is the best policy and in light of the evidence there is little in the way of answers to honest questions.
When we die, we will see who is wrong and who is right. Those who believe in God face either rotting in the ground if He doesn't exist or going to heaven if he does. Those who don't believe face rotting in the ground if He doesn't exist or burning in Hell if he does exist, and no PhD individual or scientist will be able to help you then. Yeah, looking at those options I really want to become atheist and believe everything a scientist or PhD individual tells me. Not.
Did it ever occur to atheists that this is a test put to us by God? That he wished to see where people's faith would lie? Maybe the Bible was written purposely the way it was just to see who would doubt it, what humans would do when their faith was tested? How do we know that this not a test? We don't. Which is why I cannot understand why so many people risk being wrong about everything. There is not solid proof that He doesn't exist, not until we die.
@sessakag How do we know that the bible is not purposely written to be false and god is testing us. What if he is testing who will use ones mind in an open matter and make informed decicions based on reality instead of relying on an authoritarian holy document? If you are a generally good person without the threat of hell, aren´t you really a better person than the one who behaves just beacuse of the threat?
@rasmustv but that's just the thing. Maybe this is a test, a test to see if people will follow they ways of God or if they will follow the ways of man (Atheists). To God, a good person is one that listens to him and lives the way he has said is the best way to live. Personally, I think there WAS a true Bible, however, over the years, man has tampered with the Bible. Bottom line is, you cannot say, "God will not send me to Hell cause I believe I'm a good person,"
@rasmustv How can you expect God to have mercy on you if you didn't even believe in him to begin with. There is one part of the Bible that I believe is true. It said: "But whoever denies me before people I, too, will deny before my Father in heaven." I believe that completely. So being a "good person" based upon your definition of good doesn't seem like it would hold much weight with a God you denied in life.
@sessakag I think you missed my point. Sorry if I wasn´t clear enough. I never said I didn´t believe in some kind of god. I´m simply posting the question what if god purposely wrote the bible as a test the other way around. Meaning it was a test of character. What if you are not supposed to blindly follow what authority tells you to do, but instead listen to your own heart. Thats why pascals wager doesn´t work. Bottom line is: Who can tell you what god wants? How can you trust them to be right?
@rasmustv It seems I did misunderstand you. Sorry about that. When put that way, I do believe that is completely possible. I think you have misunderstood me as well. the only thing I am disputed is the fact that atheists think that disproving the events of the Bible is proof that God does not exist. I think that is ridiculous notion to base your faith or lack thereof on. That's all I'm saying.
@sessakag If this was a test from god, do you think he would punish us for using reason, logic, evidence, philosophy, and science to determine our beliefs. I would tell him that he simply didn't give us enough evidence or reason to BELIEVE in a bronze age book that was written 2,000 yrs ago, with a premise that god sent his son to the middle of nowhere to spread his word. Only to then go through blood sacrifice and resurrection for mans sin. U honestly want me to believe that?
It is so amazing to see so many people that would rather listen to scientists and individuals with PhD as if their word is law. That has to be the most retarded thing that anyone could do. People go on and on about the Bible written by man and yet they willing listen to man just because they have PhD. Since when did having a PhD mean you can't be wrong? Since when do we try to hold God to human standards and logic? God does not have to prove anything to man.
I'm afraid the jig is up even for the best of Christians, let alone you.I wanted to have some belief in an historical Jesus, but the truth can't be denied. Dr. Price is an outstanding Biblical scholar, so give it up.
@nomoremyths1 The problem with Dr. Price is only one of about three PhD level Bible scholars who doubts the historical Jesus. Hundreds of others DO accept a historical Jesus. Granted there are many like Bart Ehrman, PhD and James Tabor, PhD who reject most of the stories about Jesus but they accept Jesus' birth in the fall of 4 to 7 BCE and curcifixion by Pilate about 30 CE.
@boblackey1 Also to me, Bart Ehrman, PhD and James Tabor, PhD University of Chicago are better than Dr. Price. Not because they reject the Jesus myth theory, but I think they are a bit more advanced than Price. Price is not even at a decent University right now is he?
@nomoremyths1 Actually the jig seems to be up for the few who advance the Jesus myth. It's been pushed hard now for over 10 years and Bible scholars and traditonal historians are not being converted. I understand (could be wrong) DM Murdock is coming with a book that Paul never existed either and all his letters are second century forgeries. Doubt that will catch on with mainstream scholars either.
@spinnersmetal LOL, from a naturalist view, how can you make the value judgment that those things are wrong, considering naturalists (assuming you) cannot think morals are objective?
@spinnersmetal "I'm sorry that your god has no morals." ... according to your sucjective relative morals, you have no actual basis to say that upon, other than your bio heritage and your socio-cultural situation.
@Subher0 Hey we can't make that judgement yet, because we don't know the real face features of Jesus Christ. He might have been she, they just made the pictures as a man just to describe him or her. So yeah I mean I do believe in him, but I just don't think that these images of him is right.
I'm talking about Mary being a woman, and him saying Jesus being born from a woman... I'm just pointing out that it's OBVIOUS he was born from a woman so it's NOT a reference to Mary in any way since EVERYBODY is born from a woman.
Did not Jesus indicate that he would return within the lifetimes of his disciples? Mathew 24:29:34. Yet he has be absent without a cover note for around 2000 years!!
Certainly not. There has never been one shred of evidence that ANYONE has ever been resurrected, including Jesus. So far that is only known to occur in fictional stories.
Considering Christians have been trying to prove Jesus' divinity for hundreds of years and still haven't been able to conclusively prove he was even a real person -- no I'm not going to bother reading every book in which some religious nut interviews other religious nuts and they all convince each other that their irrational beliefs are reasonable with circular logic (i.e. the bible is true because the bible says so). Let me know when you have a legitimate extrabiblical source of evidence.
Certainly not. He may have existed, he may not have. I merely say there is no conclusive proof that he did. But I wouldn't "be considering of becoming a Christian" even if there was such proof any more than I consider being a Muslim just because there was a man named Mohammed, or a Branch Dividian because David Koresh really existed, or a Scientologist because L Ron Hubbard was a real person.
Just as I thought you won't be Christian even though the sources were shown. BTW, Jesus is revealed in about 40 sources any scholar whose been studying about Jesus Christ for years, knows it is true.
What a bunch of nonsense. If I can show you evidence that L Ron Hubbard existed, will you become a Scientologist?
And any OBJECTIVE scholar can tell you that there is significant extrabiblical evidence for the existence of CHRISTIANS, not for the historical existence of JESUS.
who cares what paul thought? give me one good reason to believe that this cartoon superhero god of yours ever existed. i mean one that's not in the bible, which by the way is a pretty damned good book, at least the king james version. i kinda liked the hobbit too but i remain unconvinced of the existence of middle earth...
@jimpriestus Can you give me one reason to believe he does NOT exist? Can you give me solid proof other than the fact that you think the Bible is not real? Where is the proof that he does not exist? Saying over and over that the Bible was written by man is not proof that he does not exist, all that proves is that the Bible was written by a man. That's it. You have no REAL proof to support your claims.
"Can you give me one reason to believe he does NOT exist? "
I understand that you have no proof of the existence of God. It seems YOU'RE "proof" consists of faith and the cyclical argument that there is no proof of God NOT existing. And I believe that you will continue to respond with those two arguments despite any logic or science given to you.
@aria94 That is because the "logic and science" of MAN does not interest me. Man can and often is wrong. I would be a complete idiot to place my faith in man. Why would I? Look around you. It is man that destroys the planet it lives on with pollution and waste, man that wars with itself over something as fickle as paper money. And you want me to put my faith in man? Lol, that's retarded.
@aria94 You have evaded the question. Can you show me proof that God does not exist? Answer: No you cannot. Proof will only come in death. You as an atheist have two thing to look forward to. Rotting in the ground if God doesn't exist or burning in Hell if he does exist, and trust me, if it turns out to be the latter, no amount of "logic and science" is going to save you from it. Hope God has mercy, a lot people are going to need it.
Ha! Well, in order to give you proof (which of course, you will discount as not being proof, blah blah blah), first of all, the Bible states that the world has to be a few thousand years old, while clearly the earth is billions of years old. That's one example. But of course, YOU don't care.
So perhaps you could say, I have great FAITH that God does not exist. I have faith in humans, and that's enough to satisfy me, since clearly, it works for you
@aria94 That is not proof at all. If you would read the comments before opening your mouth, you would see that I believe the Bible was tampered with by humans. It is logical for humans to change facts in the Bible to discredit it. I would not put it pass humans. But you do not know the Earth is billions of years old. You know only what you have been told by humans. You are a person that blindly trusts the word of man. A being that is even now destroying itself and the Earth. That is sad.
Well obviously the Bible is tampered by humans, it was written and compiled by humans. And I'm pretty sure everything you know about God was said by humans and not God himself.
@aria94 But you don't know that for sure. No one knows that for sure. You are basing your opinion, not on facts, but what you think and what you have been told by man (scientists). Neither one of us is really dealing in facts, because neither one of our opinions can be proven until we die. Once again, if you are right, you will rot in the ground, and if you are wrong, you'll burn in Hell. That's all ya have to look forward to when you die. Like I said, God have mercy, you will need it.
@aria94 The difference is, because of your belief when you die, if you are right and there is no God you'll just die and that will be the end of it or if you are wrong and there is indeed a God, you'll burn in Hell. That is the difference. Like I said, God have mercy, you'll definitely need it.
@sessakag So to answer your question, if there is a god, I don't think he would be so petty and jealous to implement such a stupid test. To believe in a god for just in case is such a infantile and ignorant mindset. I think a god would appreciate a person with true character and belief, a person who didn't just believe in a religion because of family or community over someone who is fearful and believed "just in case" there is a hell. Why is it good to believe in something w/out any real eviden
@jakethegent Yes, I think he would punish you for putting your faith in MAN and not him. Whether you think a test is stupid is completely irrelevant to HIM, if he wants to test us, then the thoughts of an atheists is hardly going to sway him. You are trying to hold God to human standards of thinking and logic when HE may be thinking just the opposite. You cannot hold a God to your standards of what a God should do. That makes no sense.
@sessakag Your dumb, you logic and reasoning in this argument show's your blindness to accept reality. You believe in a hateful god that would punish ppl for using reason and logic. But you have blind faith, what should I except from ya.
@jakethegent First off, its painfully obvious that you wouldn't know logic and reasoning if it hit you in the face. A reasonable and logical person can have an argument and get their point across without calling someone dumb or blind. If your way of arguing a point is by trying to insult the other party then you are wasting my time. That is why I do not put my faith in Man. Second, you do not know if God truly exists or not, so it is not logical to run your mouth about something you can't prove.
@jakethegent When you die is when you'll know if you are right or wrong. God does not punish people for using reason or logic, He punishes those who know of Him and refuse to acknowledge Him. He punishes the faithless (you). I wouldn't shoot off at the mouth about a God that may exist. If you don't think He exists, that is your business, but don't expect everyone to follow your "reason" and "logic".
@jakethegent Reason and logic won't help you out in Hell if you're prove wrong. And if you want to take that chance, again, that's your business. You really have two outcomes after death: 1) You're right and there is no God and you just rot in the ground or 2) You're wrong and you burn in Hell for all eternity.
@sessakag you are such a bible "mark" haha, it's funny to me that you are living in your own reality, you have a bizzare trust in a fictional book, you believe it's characters to be REAL. without any evidence you believe the world works the way the bible has laid it out to be.
Just because it makes you feel good and act nice, it doesn't mean it exist . You are just part of a cult......you are christian right?
@jakethegent Yeah, yeah yeah, you like to talk about "God doesn't exist" even though you have absolutely no proof of that. Oh yea I'm really going to listen to you. Get real.
You're running your mouth about things you cannot back up, just like everyone else.
Like I tell every idiot that blindly trusts in the word of man, you better hope to hell that what you believe is right.
That's all I can tell you, we'll see who's right or wrong, good luck cause you'll need it. XD
@astr323 First off, who said I was Christian. I find it amusing that every atheist assumes someone is Christian. Second of all, you are just as guilty of having delusions, everyone is. Whether you believe that there is a God or you believe that humans used to be apes that magically became thinking, speaking humans or whatever else you want to believe that's fine. I don't need to do any 'research'. Unlike you, I don't believe everything someone says or puts on the internet.
@astr323 Unless I know something to be absolutely true, I don't really want to hear about this scientists research or that scientist said that. Scientists are certainly capable of being wrong, or flat out lying about things. If you want to put your trust in man, that's your business.
@astr323 First of all, calling me a name is completely uncalled for, if you can't communicate to another person without childish name calling then don't waste my time. Second of all, those comments were in fact sent to the right person, so reread the comments before shooting off at the mouth. It's not hard to follow the conversation, but if you can't even do that, again, don't waste my time. Argue with someone on a lower level of intelligence.
@sessakag I never accused you of being a xian. and I never said I believe that 'humans used to be apes.' don't bring shit up and pretend like we were talking about it all along, because we weren't. take your bitterness out on someone else, ass.
OHBTWSTUPIDRETARDBUTTHOLELOSER LOLOLOL
you're the one choosing to respond to the comments? I'm not forcing you to write anything. the only person 'wasting' your time is you, silly.
@astr323 Yeah, see, like I said, you obviously can't follow the conversation and you are wasting my time. Take my earlier advice and find someone with a lower intelligence level like yourself and have an immature conversation with.
@sessakag I'm not in any conversation except the one between you and myself. you 'replied' to MY comment, and sent those comments to me, without any solicitation on my part with regards to your specific religious beliefs.
also, it's okay to get creative once in a while. saying/doing the exact same thing over and over while expecting a different result from me doesn't make you cool or smart. in fact, webster'd call you insane.
I did reread the comments. THEY AREN'T RELEVANT TO THIS CONVERSATION.
@astr323 Check again. You felt the need to comment to me, not the other way around. Your first comment to me was "wow. why the harsh words? I thought believers were supposed to be compassionate." I responded, then you said "mmm. cos that's what jesus would do. what a great representative of god you are. makes me wanna reconvert. oh, wait. except not." and I responded. Your second comment made the assumption that I had a religious belief and that is why you received the comments you did.
@astr323 So, once again, why don't you find someone to argue with that is of a lower intelligence? I have neither the patience nor the inclination to converse with a person that I have to go back and go step by step through a conversation holding your hand. You obviously did not reread the comments because if you did you wouldn’t still be sending me stupid comments. But if you did and you still don't get it, that says a lot about how low your intelligence truly is. You're a really sad person.
@sessakag any lower and I might as well be talking to a rock. you obviously have both of those qualities as you're carrying on this 'conversation,' if you want to call it that. I never called you a 'christian.' far as I can remember, I never explicitly mentioned my religious beliefs either, and you accused me of being an atheist without having any reason to do so. guess what? you can stop responding any time you want. doesn't matter to me either way. <3
@astr323 Argue with someone on a lower level of intelligence. What part of that don't you understand? You need someone to hold your hand and go over it with you?
@sessakag pwetty pwease? and if you REALLY want me to stop responding, then why don't you just go ahead and quit responding first? you trying to win something? score points for getting in the last word? reeeeeal mature.
@sessakag I'll try to make this very clear now so you can understand: NO. <3
or do I need to hold your hand and go over it again? evidently this is a pretty difficult concept for you to grasp. but I think we can do this. I believe in you.
@jakethegent No one is telling you "believe in God just in case there is a Hell". I don't think you saw that once in any of my comments. I am simply saying that if you want to put your faith in man, (a fickle creature), and science (which is not completely factual and is ignorant of SO many things) then know the possible consequences of your actions. If there is a God, science and logic won't save you from burning, if you are at peace with that, so be it. But you can't say no one warned you.
@jakethegent I think HE would have every right to punish those that choose to believe in man, rather than HIM. You denied HIM your entire life, why shouldn't HE deny you your entire afterlife? You reap what you sow.
@TheMiwaro Really, who are you, who the fuck cares and who the hell asked you anything? No one. Find someone that actually care about what you have to say. I sure as hell don't. I really don't care about "Pascal's Wager" or you. Run along, and waste someone else's time.
@TheMiwaro you wish u were richard dawkins but you havent studied enough. you dont have that right to say that because you barely understand the statement you made......your actually very stupid
@aria94 When you die, if you are right, you will simply rot in the Earth, if you are wrong you will burn in Hell right along side the humans you faithfully, blindly and ignorantly follow. God have mercy, you will certainly need it.
@jimpriestus I'm not sure if you have ever watched the history channel, but scientist read the Bible and analyze it, did you know that some of the stories told in the Bible may have actually occurred, that there is physical proof? No, I guess you didn't. The Bible may not be completely true but there is truth in it. So for you to sit there and scorn a God that MAY or may not exist doesn't seem very smart on your part.
@sessakag did you know that in order to get people to believe in the gods of mythology, writers had to sprinkle some truths into their messages to make them more believable? same with propaganda. I suggest you do a weeee bit more research than you already have. no intelligent person would absorb and agree with controversial information at face value. delusional people, maybe, but not intelligent.
Paul thought Jesus not on earth?? In Hebrews 5:7 Paul wrote:
"in the days of His flesh..." Hmmm! Much inaccurate! Amazing the many persons who tried to destroy truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. NONE survive. His gospel lives on! PHHN
Spazman finally realizes he's been beaten. I could be the "bigger" person and let him leave with dignity, but he wouldn't of if the situation were reversed.
Hypocrite: Making Christians look like douches & generally turning people off of Christ. Jesus condemned not more then hypocrites :>)
Liar: He said that atheists believe the universe came from no where.
He hath traced a fixed circle over the waters, unto the confines of light and darkness. Job 26:10
When he established the heavens, I was there: when he set a circle upon the face of the deep:Prov 8:27
He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.Isaiah 40:22
First, Spazman says ant in a storm, without saying sand, next Spazman says it without sand again, then Spazman says something like "saying your not whining proves the more reason of your denial.
ants in a SANDstorm is an old saying."
AFTER you said "sandstorm" I said that that makes you dirt, which was the first time I said "sandstorm".
Also, your comment was NOT a reply to mine, as another post from me, as well as 1 from u r in between it.
So you're right that you said it without "sand" first, but you changed it to "sandstorm" before I said "sandstorm", of course it's just like a theist to take a joke seriously.
I made 1 post about Hell Problem, AFPD, SNOG, etc. and I didn't even ask you to answer them. My point was that, given all the contradictions, isn't it simply more rational not to believe in a personal, religious God?
The only reason I even mentioned that was because you asked why I was trying to disprove God's omnipotence.
you didn't disprove anything. you only prove your willing to rationalize the easter bunny.

I see that facts cannot challenge your faith. Good for you for standing up for what you believe in, but you are deluded nonetheless.
alphathefish 9 months ago
The historicity of Jesus Christ is beyond dispute. The historical evidence is overwhelming. To deny that he existed in history is to deny reason itself. The only people who are promoting this historical fact are people with an anti-Christian agenda, and they do this poorly.
Surfxeo 9 months ago
@Surfxeo What historical evidence do you think exists? If you are going to posit that Pliny the Younger, Tacitus, Suetonius, and others mention Yeshua; you should know that each of these persons were born decades after the supposed time of christ. There is no historical or archeological evidence of the time that indicates that a person known as Yeshua actually existed. Do you have any relevant evidence that I have not included?
alphathefish 9 months ago
@alphathefish You have the Bible as a reliable historical source. It is more reliable than other historical sources. Not only of the Holy land but also for the Middle East as far as Iraq. It was through the Bible that an ancient King called Akkad has discovered.
Almost all the New Testament was written before 70 AD.
You also cannot discount Pliny the Younger, Tactitus, Suetonius as that is also adequate historical evidence.
Jesus is the name that God used in history.
Surfxeo 9 months ago
@Surfxeo So the bible, which has thousands of contradictions and hundreds of historical inaccuracies (e.g. no evidence of exodus, nazareth did not exist, etc...) is the ultimate historical record for that area of the world? Jesus is the Greek translation of Yeshua. If there was a yeshua, he would have no idea what jesus means. I can discount the aforementioned sources as they were not present for any of the situations they wrote about. It's all hearsay.
alphathefish 9 months ago
@alphathefish Nazareth did not exist. Your statement would insult Jews living in Nazareth today.
There are zero contradictions in the Bible and what you say about Jesus is a myth.
I take it you are not great in history. Let me increase your IQ.
There was once a man born in Macedonia born in 356 BC called Alexander the Great who conquered the world in a few years which setup a Hellenistic empire which in the following years made Greek the international language, just like english today.
Surfxeo 9 months ago
@alphathefish There are zero contradictions in the Bible. Your statement that Nazareth did not exist would insult people who live there today. (Think before you type)
Mount Sinai (Jebel el Laws) has been found again and is precisly where the Bible says it is in Midian (Gal 4:25). There are also chariots found in the Red Sea.
You are aware that Greek was the main international language for hundres of centuries even after the Roman empire. Just like english is today.
Get some basic history lesson
Surfxeo 9 months ago
@Surfxeo Yes, Nazareth exists now (as of 200 C.E.). There is no evidence that it existed before that, archaeologically or historically. Please don't presuppose that I have no knowledge of history as it appears I know far more than you. There are thousands of contradictions in the bible, you are deluded if you believe otherwise. Basic research would have alerted you to that fact. The chariots in the red sea were proven to be frauds in 1978, right after Ron Wyatt announced his discovery.
alphathefish 9 months ago
@alphathefish That is wrong. That is when it was "rebuilt" after the jewish revolt in 70 AD. Its even on the ancient maps. How can a map exist before the town exists lol
I can't believe your pride and arrogance. They were never frauds. You cannot fake ancient corel! That's like saying a fossil skull of a T-rex is a fake.
I read the Bible every day. I know exacly what is in it. You are deluded if you think you are wiser than God.

prove that your god exists.
because that god supports you being a slavery.

"Get yourself a proper Bible first before you even begin to quote. Get the authorised Version."
what authority do you have to say whose bible is authentic or not?
either your bible use the word Bondservants or servants it's still talking about slavery. why would need to serve your master with fear?
An Atheist Reads the Bible 4 Slavery
tempemonkey2323
and what about the Christians that had slaves?
what historical evidence that proves jesus existed, because his name is yeshua.
FREEAMERICANOW69 8 months ago
@FREEAMERICANOW69 2000 thousand years of authority. The Authorised Version is based on the Greek Majority texts which are from the earliest churches. The AV is the closest to the original Greek versions.
What about Christians that had slaves. Does that make it right? No, Scripture is very clear on this.
Yeshua is Hebrew, Jesus comes from the Greek of the same name. The NT was written in Greek. There is more historical evidence for Jesus than for any other person of antiquity.
Surfxeo 8 months ago
@Surfxeo
i don't care about the authorities facilitating these myths.
back to the point your bible supported slavery more than one occasion.
evilbible com/Slavery
yeshua isn't greek; what is historical evidence? this is the second time, i asked.
wrong, a servant can go as he pleases, not a slave, duh.
If you buy a Hebrew slave, he is to serve for only six years. Set him free in the seventh year, and he will owe you nothing for his freedom.
(Exodus 21:2-6 NLT)
FREEAMERICANOW69 8 months ago

You have not grounds for calling it a myth.
Surfxeo 8 months ago
@Surfxeo
and every atheist living is not c.s lewis and he made the decision w/o the knowledge that is available now to go back to Christianity.

FREEAMERICANOW69 8 months ago
@FREEAMERICANOW69 I don't think you understood my statement. C.S Lewis was an expert in this field. He was not a laymen with no knowledge on this subject and reading up on it once or twice. He worked, slept and life this subject matter. Neither was a casual atheist, he remained a commited atheist even through the war in the trenches of the first world war. He renounced his faith in atheim through intellectual endeavour.
With the knowledge we have today he would be a stronger Christian.
Surfxeo 8 months ago
@Surfxeo
i understand and it's irrelevant, some author became a christian 70 years ago is moot.
he didn't have the internet, he didn't have the types of information that atheists have to day with science, that proves your religion is myth.
atheist is not faith.
if he ignored science, reason and logic to worship a phantasm in his mind based off this judeo-christian god myth. i have a whole play list proving your religion is myth with videos made by scientists...what do you got? faith. lol.
FREEAMERICANOW69 8 months ago

You can't. So it was.
newipad 8 months ago
@newipad The burden of proof is always on the one who is bringing in something knew, what makes evolution so ideotic is it has not in 150 years scientifically proved it is real. Perhaps that is why you believe in the flying spaghetti monster. You make a very childish argument.
Surfxeo 7 months ago
@Surfxeo New, not knew.
idiotic, not ideotic.
Evolution has been proven dozens of times and NO biologist has ANY doubt in evolution. Darwin proposed natural selection, which is just one component of evolution. There are many others. Natural selection is also proven. You misunderstand the use of the word "theory" in science. Gravitation is also a "theory." No physicist has ANY doubt gravity exists, or that general relativity describes it, though both gravitation and relativity are "theories."
newipad 7 months ago
@Surfxeo I'll bite. Please do that. Prove Christ existed. Produce peer-reviewed (ALL science is peer-reviewed by other SCIENTISTS) studies from major journals that have studied this to back up the claim the Jesus existed.
newipad 7 months ago
@FREEAMERICANOW69 Blind faith is all you rely on. I know that God exists and rules, I see His evidence all around me and what He did for me on the cross with was prophecied of old. He gave us His word and His word is true.
Surfxeo 8 months ago
@Surfxeo
you believe that your god exists, you don't know...if you did, you could prove it and no, your fantasies are not proof.
you entertaining a phantasm in your mind that is based of this judeo-christian tyrant god from some ancient book originally created by ancient, non-scientific, bigoted sheep-herders isn't proof.
there is more evidence showing your god is a myth, just like zeus.
your god came in a set of three, what happen to the other two?
FREEAMERICANOW69 7 months ago
@FREEAMERICANOW69 Ah, we come to it at last. You are displaying your anti-semite bigorty at last. The Bible was written by Jews except for Luke & Acts.
My God entered into history which is backed up by historical evidence. The same one who created all things and who gave you life. All creation worships God and shows His works. Unbelievers are without excuse to deny His existance.
My God is one God. As the Bible clearly states!
Surfxeo 7 months ago
@S
thanks for the way-out-there cup-out: don't you in your myth and i have historical evidence to prove your god doesn't exist, thus i'm an anti-semite because you have no argument against me and can't prove me wrong.
"My God entered into history which is backed up by historical evidence. The same one who created all things and who gave you life. All creation worships God and shows His works. Unbelievers are without excuse to deny His existance."
then PROVE it--what is so hard about it?
FREEAMERICANOW69 7 months ago
@Surfxeo Also experts in the field of philosophy and religion were Victor Stenger, Ayn Rand, and Friedrich Nietzsche. All of them remained atheists to their deaths. That some atheists become christians and some christians become atheists is not proof of the truth of anything. An NO ONE has "faith" in atheism. Atheism is the absence of faith.
newipad 7 months ago
@Surfxeo For every atheist who became a christian I can name 10 christians who became atheists. It proves nothing. Reality isn't determined by popular vote.
newipad 8 months ago
@FREEAMERICANOW69 A guilty person would be a fool indeed if they did not fear the Judge who has the power of life and death.
I have never known an atheist who has read the Bible beyond a childs level of understanding. Servant is a closer word than slave because it expresses an individuals relationship to someone above them in heirarchy. We all serve one another in some way or another. A parent looks after a child. A civilian serves a leader such as a president and so on

opinion is whether red is better than blue, a matter of a specific person's taste, the debate on god isn't about opinion, it is about facts. if facts prove that there isn't a god, then a whole lot of people will HAVE to change their beliefs because if they don't they will be seen as willfully ignorant. Whereas if red is better than blue, that is just in a group of people's FEELINGS and not FACTS..

Agnosticism is a cop-out because when probabilities are taken into consideration, we are not talking about a 50/50 proposition.
dmnemaine 1 year ago
@Highrise408

Do you?
jarneyfs1 1 year ago
@Highrise408 You have completely failed to understand what I said to you. You attempted to make equivalent the process of proving and disproving. They are NOT equivalent or even similar. As there is ZERO 'evidence' for a God, what kind of human question mark would put them together? Your comment placed sky fairy belief and thought & logic in the same boat. That is why you are an idiot. Look up the word for the meaning; with an IQ of 155 you would understand this, why don't you?

There is not solid proof that He doesn't exist, not until we die.
sessakag 1 year ago
@sessakag How do we know that the bible is not purposely written to be false and god is testing us. What if he is testing who will use ones mind in an open matter and make informed decicions based on reality instead of relying on an authoritarian holy document? If you are a generally good person without the threat of hell, aren´t you really a better person than the one who behaves just beacuse of the threat?
rasmustv 1 year ago
@rasmustv but that's just the thing. Maybe this is a test, a test to see if people will follow they ways of God or if they will follow the ways of man (Atheists). To God, a good person is one that listens to him and lives the way he has said is the best way to live. Personally, I think there WAS a true Bible, however, over the years, man has tampered with the Bible. Bottom line is, you cannot say, "God will not send me to Hell cause I believe I'm a good person,"
sessakag 1 year ago
@rasmustv How can you expect God to have mercy on you if you didn't even believe in him to begin with. There is one part of the Bible that I believe is true. It said: "But whoever denies me before people I, too, will deny before my Father in heaven." I believe that completely. So being a "good person" based upon your definition of good doesn't seem like it would hold much weight with a God you denied in life.
sessakag 1 year ago
@sessakag I think you missed my point. Sorry if I wasn´t clear enough. I never said I didn´t believe in some kind of god. I´m simply posting the question what if god purposely wrote the bible as a test the other way around. Meaning it was a test of character. What if you are not supposed to blindly follow what authority tells you to do, but instead listen to your own heart. Thats why pascals wager doesn´t work. Bottom line is: Who can tell you what god wants? How can you trust them to be right?
rasmustv 1 year ago
@rasmustv It seems I did misunderstand you. Sorry about that. When put that way, I do believe that is completely possible. I think you have misunderstood me as well. the only thing I am disputed is the fact that atheists think that disproving the events of the Bible is proof that God does not exist. I think that is ridiculous notion to base your faith or lack thereof on. That's all I'm saying.
sessakag 1 year ago
@sessakag If this was a test from god, do you think he would punish us for using reason, logic, evidence, philosophy, and science to determine our beliefs. I would tell him that he simply didn't give us enough evidence or reason to BELIEVE in a bronze age book that was written 2,000 yrs ago, with a premise that god sent his son to the middle of nowhere to spread his word. Only to then go through blood sacrifice and resurrection for mans sin. U honestly want me to believe that?
jakethegent 1 year ago
It is so amazing to see so many people that would rather listen to scientists and individuals with PhD as if their word is law. That has to be the most retarded thing that anyone could do. People go on and on about the Bible written by man and yet they willing listen to man just because they have PhD. Since when did having a PhD mean you can't be wrong? Since when do we try to hold God to human standards and logic? God does not have to prove anything to man.

I'm afraid the jig is up even for the best of Christians, let alone you.I wanted to have some belief in an historical Jesus, but the truth can't be denied. Dr. Price is an outstanding Biblical scholar, so give it up.
nomoremyths1 1 year ago
@nomoremyths1 The problem with Dr. Price is only one of about three PhD level Bible scholars who doubts the historical Jesus. Hundreds of others DO accept a historical Jesus. Granted there are many like Bart Ehrman, PhD and James Tabor, PhD who reject most of the stories about Jesus but they accept Jesus' birth in the fall of 4 to 7 BCE and curcifixion by Pilate about 30 CE.
boblackey1 1 year ago
@boblackey1 Also to me, Bart Ehrman, PhD and James Tabor, PhD University of Chicago are better than Dr. Price. Not because they reject the Jesus myth theory, but I think they are a bit more advanced than Price. Price is not even at a decent University right now is he?
boblackey1 1 year ago
@nomoremyths1 Actually the jig seems to be up for the few who advance the Jesus myth. It's been pushed hard now for over 10 years and Bible scholars and traditonal historians are not being converted. I understand (could be wrong) DM Murdock is coming with a book that Paul never existed either and all his letters are second century forgeries. Doubt that will catch on with mainstream scholars either.

@spinnersmetal LOL, from a naturalist view, how can you make the value judgment that those things are wrong, considering naturalists (assuming you) cannot think morals are objective?
MrDanielHen 1 year ago
@MrDanielHen Because we decide what is right and wrong, and as a society, those things are wrong. I'm sorry that your god has no morals.
spinnersmetal 1 year ago
@spinnersmetal "I'm sorry that your god has no morals." ... according to your sucjective relative morals, you have no actual basis to say that upon, other than your bio heritage and your socio-cultural situation.
MrDanielHen 1 year ago
Lol so he mentions Jesus being born of a woman? Wow!
That definately is him describing mary! Since mary wasn't a man... you know.
Subher0 1 year ago 2
@Subher0 Hey we can't make that judgement yet, because we don't know the real face features of Jesus Christ. He might have been she, they just made the pictures as a man just to describe him or her. So yeah I mean I do believe in him, but I just don't think that these images of him is right.
jklx92 1 year ago
I'm talking about Mary being a woman, and him saying Jesus being born from a woman... I'm just pointing out that it's OBVIOUS he was born from a woman so it's NOT a reference to Mary in any way since EVERYBODY is born from a woman.

Wow you really believe these stories about the half-man half-god who died and came back to life and did magic tricks, don't you?
friendofthefunk 1 year ago
@friendofthefunk
Can you show me at least one shred of evidence from the first century that, for example, Zeus or even Attis, resurrected like Jesus did?
POC777 1 year ago
Certainly not. There has never been one shred of evidence that ANYONE has ever been resurrected, including Jesus. So far that is only known to occur in fictional stories.
friendofthefunk 1 year ago
@friendofthefunk
I need an answer!
I suggest you do some research begin with this book: The Case for Christ. I have read it and I'm convinced Jesus indeed resurrected on the third day.
POC777 1 year ago
hahahahaha
friendofthefunk 1 year ago
@friendofthefunk
Then I guess you don't even bother IF Jesus is fiction or fact.
I challenge you to do research if Jesus Christ existed or r u backing out?
POC777 1 year ago
Considering Christians have been trying to prove Jesus' divinity for hundreds of years and still haven't been able to conclusively prove he was even a real person -- no I'm not going to bother reading every book in which some religious nut interviews other religious nuts and they all convince each other that their irrational beliefs are reasonable with circular logic (i.e. the bible is true because the bible says so). Let me know when you have a legitimate extrabiblical source of evidence.
friendofthefunk 1 year ago
@friendofthefunk
If I give you evidence that Jesus does exists will you be considering of becoming a Christian?
You said "extra-biblical source of evidence" okay.
But answer my question first and from there you'll get the sources.
POC777 1 year ago
Certainly not. He may have existed, he may not have. I merely say there is no conclusive proof that he did. But I wouldn't "be considering of becoming a Christian" even if there was such proof any more than I consider being a Muslim just because there was a man named Mohammed, or a Branch Dividian because David Koresh really existed, or a Scientologist because L Ron Hubbard was a real person.
friendofthefunk 1 year ago
@friendofthefunk
Then I rest my case!
POC777 1 year ago
hahaha that was it? so much for "you'll get the sources." well then, case dismissed!
friendofthefunk 1 year ago
@friendofthefunk
Just as I thought you won't be Christian even though the sources were shown. BTW, Jesus is revealed in about 40 sources any scholar whose been studying about Jesus Christ for years, knows it is true.
I'm not a scholar but do know Jesus exists!
POC777 1 year ago
What a bunch of nonsense. If I can show you evidence that L Ron Hubbard existed, will you become a Scientologist?
And any OBJECTIVE scholar can tell you that there is significant extrabiblical evidence for the existence of CHRISTIANS, not for the historical existence of JESUS.

jimpriestus 2 years ago 11
@jimpriestus Can you give me one reason to believe he does NOT exist? Can you give me solid proof other than the fact that you think the Bible is not real? Where is the proof that he does not exist? Saying over and over that the Bible was written by man is not proof that he does not exist, all that proves is that the Bible was written by a man. That's it. You have no REAL proof to support your claims.
sessakag 1 year ago
@sessakag

Lol, that's retarded.
sessakag 1 year ago
@aria94 You have evaded the question. Can you show me proof that God does not exist? Answer: No you cannot. Proof will only come in death. You as an atheist have two thing to look forward to. Rotting in the ground if God doesn't exist or burning in Hell if he does exist, and trust me, if it turns out to be the latter, no amount of "logic and science" is going to save you from it. Hope God has mercy, a lot people are going to need it.
sessakag 1 year ago
@sessakag
I have faith in humans, and that's enough to satisfy me, since clearly, it works for you
aria94 1 year ago
@aria94 That is not proof at all. If you would read the comments before opening your mouth, you would see that I believe the Bible was tampered with by humans. It is logical for humans to change facts in the Bible to discredit it. I would not put it pass humans. But you do not know the Earth is billions of years old. You know only what you have been told by humans. You are a person that blindly trusts the word of man. A being that is even now destroying itself and the Earth. That is sad.
sessakag 1 year ago
@sessakag
Well obviously the Bible is tampered by humans, it was written and compiled by humans. And I'm pretty sure everything you know about God was said by humans and not God himself.
aria94 1 year ago
@aria94 But you don't know that for sure. No one knows that for sure. You are basing your opinion, not on facts, but what you think and what you have been told by man (scientists). Neither one of us is really dealing in facts, because neither one of our opinions can be proven until we die. Once again, if you are right, you will rot in the ground, and if you are wrong, you'll burn in Hell. That's all ya have to look forward to when you die. Like I said, God have mercy, you will need it.
sessakag 1 year ago
@sessakag
Right, no one knows that for sure, so I don't see how you're belief in religion is more true than my belief in science.
aria94 1 year ago
@aria94 The difference is, because of your belief when you die, if you are right and there is no God you'll just die and that will be the end of it or if you are wrong and there is indeed a God, you'll burn in Hell. That is the difference. Like I said, God have mercy, you'll definitely need it.
sessakag 1 year ago
@sessakag So to answer your question, if there is a god, I don't think he would be so petty and jealous to implement such a stupid test. To believe in a god for just in case is such a infantile and ignorant mindset. I think a god would appreciate a person with true character and belief, a person who didn't just believe in a religion because of family or community over someone who is fearful and believed "just in case" there is a hell. Why is it good to believe in something w/out any real eviden
jakethegent 1 year ago
@jakethegent Yes, I think he would punish you for putting your faith in MAN and not him. Whether you think a test is stupid is completely irrelevant to HIM, if he wants to test us, then the thoughts of an atheists is hardly going to sway him. You are trying to hold God to human standards of thinking and logic when HE may be thinking just the opposite. You cannot hold a God to your standards of what a God should do. That makes no sense.
sessakag 1 year ago
@sessakag Your dumb, you logic and reasoning in this argument show's your blindness to accept reality. You believe in a hateful god that would punish ppl for using reason and logic. But you have blind faith, what should I except from ya.
jakethegent 1 year ago
@jakethegent First off, its painfully obvious that you wouldn't know logic and reasoning if it hit you in the face. A reasonable and logical person can have an argument and get their point across without calling someone dumb or blind. If your way of arguing a point is by trying to insult the other party then you are wasting my time. That is why I do not put my faith in Man. Second, you do not know if God truly exists or not, so it is not logical to run your mouth about something you can't prove.
sessakag 1 year ago
@jakethegent When you die is when you'll know if you are right or wrong. God does not punish people for using reason or logic, He punishes those who know of Him and refuse to acknowledge Him. He punishes the faithless (you). I wouldn't shoot off at the mouth about a God that may exist. If you don't think He exists, that is your business, but don't expect everyone to follow your "reason" and "logic".
sessakag 1 year ago
@jakethegent Reason and logic won't help you out in Hell if you're prove wrong. And if you want to take that chance, again, that's your business. You really have two outcomes after death: 1) You're right and there is no God and you just rot in the ground or 2) You're wrong and you burn in Hell for all eternity.
Enjoy. =)
See how far "logic" and "reason" gets you.
sessakag 1 year ago
@sessakag you are such a bible "mark" haha, it's funny to me that you are living in your own reality, you have a bizzare trust in a fictional book, you believe it's characters to be REAL. without any evidence you believe the world works the way the bible has laid it out to be.
Just because it makes you feel good and act nice, it doesn't mean it exist . You are just part of a cult......you are christian right?
jakethegent 1 year ago
@jakethegent Yeah, yeah yeah, you like to talk about "God doesn't exist" even though you have absolutely no proof of that. Oh yea I'm really going to listen to you. Get real.
You're running your mouth about things you cannot back up, just like everyone else.
Like I tell every idiot that blindly trusts in the word of man, you better hope to hell that what you believe is right.
That's all I can tell you, we'll see who's right or wrong, good luck cause you'll need it. XD

I don't need to do any 'research'. Unlike you, I don't believe everything someone says or puts on the internet.
sessakag 1 year ago
@astr323 Unless I know something to be absolutely true, I don't really want to hear about this scientists research or that scientist said that. Scientists are certainly capable of being wrong, or flat out lying about things. If you want to put your trust in man, that's your business.

@sessakag you sent your comments to the wrong person, retard.
astr323 1 year ago
@astr323 First of all, calling me a name is completely uncalled for, if you can't communicate to another person without childish name calling then don't waste my time. Second of all, those comments were in fact sent to the right person, so reread the comments before shooting off at the mouth. It's not hard to follow the conversation, but if you can't even do that, again, don't waste my time. Argue with someone on a lower level of intelligence.
sessakag 1 year ago
@sessakag I never accused you of being a xian. and I never said I believe that 'humans used to be apes.' don't bring shit up and pretend like we were talking about it all along, because we weren't. take your bitterness out on someone else, ass.
OHBTWSTUPIDRETARDBUTTHOLELOSER LOLOLOL
you're the one choosing to respond to the comments? I'm not forcing you to write anything. the only person 'wasting' your time is you, silly.
astr323 1 year ago
@astr323 Yeah, see, like I said, you obviously can't follow the conversation and you are wasting my time. Take my earlier advice and find someone with a lower intelligence level like yourself and have an immature conversation with.
sessakag 1 year ago
@sessakag I'm not in any conversation except the one between you and myself. you 'replied' to MY comment, and sent those comments to me, without any solicitation on my part with regards to your specific religious beliefs.
also, it's okay to get creative once in a while. saying/doing the exact same thing over and over while expecting a different result from me doesn't make you cool or smart. in fact, webster'd call you insane.
I did reread the comments. THEY AREN'T RELEVANT TO THIS CONVERSATION.
astr323 1 year ago
@sessakag I don't get how me=/=xian=atheist instead? I could be a goddamned buddhist for all you know. you're the one making assumptions. not me.
astr323 1 year ago
@astr323 Check again. You felt the need to comment to me, not the other way around. Your first comment to me was "wow. why the harsh words? I thought believers were supposed to be compassionate." I responded, then you said "mmm. cos that's what jesus would do. what a great representative of god you are. makes me wanna reconvert. oh, wait. except not." and I responded. Your second comment made the assumption that I had a religious belief and that is why you received the comments you did.
sessakag 1 year ago
@astr323 So, once again, why don't you find someone to argue with that is of a lower intelligence? I have neither the patience nor the inclination to converse with a person that I have to go back and go step by step through a conversation holding your hand. You obviously did not reread the comments because if you did you wouldn’t still be sending me stupid comments. But if you did and you still don't get it, that says a lot about how low your intelligence truly is. You're a really sad person.
sessakag 1 year ago
@sessakag any lower and I might as well be talking to a rock. you obviously have both of those qualities as you're carrying on this 'conversation,' if you want to call it that. I never called you a 'christian.' far as I can remember, I never explicitly mentioned my religious beliefs either, and you accused me of being an atheist without having any reason to do so. guess what? you can stop responding any time you want. doesn't matter to me either way. <3

@jakethegent No one is telling you "believe in God just in case there is a Hell". I don't think you saw that once in any of my comments.
Also, your comment was NOT a reply to mine, as another post from me, as well as 1 from u r in between it.

you gave me the Hell Problem, Argument from Poor Design, and the sheer number of gods which you want me to answer all these.
that is why it bad for you to go off-topic, you gave me more question to answer which i dont have the time to.

I made 1 post about Hell Problem, AFPD, SNOG, etc. and I didn't even ask you to answer them. My point was that, given all the contradictions, isn't it simply more rational not to believe in a personal, religious God?
