Literally just made this for the 1st time! We tried it ur way w mayo & ur hubby's w butter & garlic...ur hubby wins. My husband said maybe salsa would be good w it. I never thought of trying artichoke until u posted this video! We ate it at a restaurant and I've been obsessed! Thanks!
I love dipping it in the hidden valley ranch- the kind that you have to make with the packet. I also don't eat the heart. I think it's a mental thing for me. It just looks so odd. But Kyle loves it so he wins!
okay, everytime I ask someone how something tastes, they tell me to try it... could you describe how an artichoke tastes??? I would completely appreciate if you did :-)
does it taste like asparagas? or similar to another veggie ? thanks, great video
Thank you so much for this video ! I can't wait to make this for our fam... they are so intimidating so I am so glad that you shared this with us :) I think that is insane that you can only eat such a small portion of the artichoke leaves.
WOW I have never really eaten a artichoke like that (just in the dip lol) I never knew you eat it like that! Thanks for the video I would have eating the whole leaf!! YUM now i wanna go buy some :)
I love the little leaves in the middle! And yeah, stuffed artichokes are the most amazing thing ever! My dad does the meat one and sometimes puts parsley and garlic in before he cooks them. YUM!
Thanks for the video Jeni! That looks super simple. My best friends mom always served them for dinner but I never learned how to make them. Now I'm craving them! Yummy yum:)
Thanks so much for doing this video. I LOVE artichokes in antipasta salad when they are hearts, but I have never actually cooked or eaten one. I was just wondering how to cook/eat them. Thanks again!
Thanks for this video, I've been wondering how you cooked them. I'll have to try it this weekend and hope my little 14month old likes them as much as Deacon
I'm not a fan of the heart either, but I could eat the leaves all day. And don't you wonder who first looked at this thing and said "yeah, it's worth it?" LOL
i love artichokes, i've only had them on the stove (didn't know they could be microwaved! i don't usually microave fresh veggies i guess). This looks like a great way to prepare them easily. your tupperware must have a vent.. on the stove, sometimes they turn brownish (so you have to add lemon juice to the water, which makes them not taste as fresh), this looked perfect!
My fiance's grandmother makes an amazing artichoke dish. She cuts off the tips and then makes a meat mixture (like... spaghetti style, probably whatever you would use for meatballs) and stuffs it down in front of each leaf. Then she puts them all in a big pot with spaghetti sauce and cooks it for hours. When you eat the leaves like you show in your video, you get the meat as well as the meat of the artichoke. It's so delicious. They usually eat some spaghetti noodles on the side. Yum.
Aww you are throwing away MY favorite part in an artichoke!! you can cut around the last piece you had after eating the heart and eat it as well... delicious!!
We LOVE them too! They are so worth the work and we think they are fun to eat ;-) Are they expensive where you live? We are in FL and they are super pricey so we only get them when they are on sale.
i have always just put it in the bag that you get from the produce and put it in the microwave for six minutes. that's just how my mom did it, Awesome video, I love artichokes now I want to go get me some!
that was the most pleasant minutes i have ever had in my entire life

Meat? Meat? I didn't see any critters (or critter parts) enter the microwave. Where the hell did the meat come from?
