  • Song line-up for this demo?

  • playing green day at an air show? the faggot band that despises America

  • Respond to this video...

You do realize that American Idiot wasn't a slam at America in gerneral but at certain classes of people in America?

  • fuck dude i hate this pilot he's such a scrub!!!!

  • True f 14 was expensive but to redo that plane with todays technology would have made a difference. F14s owned f18

  • @jmax07

And F-16's and F-15's own both what's your point?

  • The F-14 was a great aircraft but to me the Super Hornet is a big leap above the F-14 in performance. Yes the F-14 was faster but it can't maneuver even close to what the super hornet can do. They are already working on engine upgrades for the super hornet that will not only put out more thrust but consume even less fuel. To me the Super Hornet is the best fighter. Its cheap to make compared to the F-22 and F-35 and has unbelievable pitch authority for a none thrust vectoring aircraft.

  • Just watched them practicing at CFB Shearwater, going to be an amazing show!

  • No matter what people say about the Super Hornet, I still think that it is a damn good Navy aircraft. It may not be as fast as the F-14, but it is probably easier to maintain because the F-14's swing wing mechanisms must have been expensive and a pain in the rear end for mechanics to maintain.

    Nevertheless, both fighters ROCK!

  • @XStormfalconX yea plus it was a major fuel hog

  • 2:05 Sounds like he tripped on his words and said "Stail tand"

  • Awesome!

  • Less maneuverable than the legacy C model, with an inferior turn radius and inferior acceleration. All so it can carry more fuel, and bring more bombs home - a retrograde step in my opinion.

  • Having flown both. This is inaccurate

  • According to CDR Rob Niewoehner, (one of the Super Hornet test pilots), and I quote directly from his flight assessment - "A clean (no external stores) Lot XIX C/D will nose out a clean E/F in a drag race from 0.85 to 1.2 at 35,000 ft."

  • @WinchesterRanger less maneuverable? wrong. its got a bigger wingspan, and engines are more powerful for that type of lightweight. so acceleration is better than the c model.

  • A few facts for you then: In 1998 -- as it became clear that the Super Hornet was slower, and less agile at transonic speeds than the C/D the Navy issued an "administrative clarification" which declared that speed, acceleration and sustained turn rate were not, and had never been, Key Performance Parameters (KPP) for the Super Hornet. Apparently, some misguided people thought that those were important attributes for a fighter.

  • @WinchesterRanger Thats bullshit.

  • That "bullshit" is a direct quote from a respected technology journal - what exactly do you have to offer in the way of facts - or does your counter-argument consist solely of yelling "bullshit"?

  • Youre just mad because that piece of shit you call an F-14 got retired, shredded up, and got dumped in the ocean because they are pieces of shit. LOL

  • Well the conversation was semi-intelligent until this slack jawed troll rolled in.

  • semi-intelligent? it's an idiot conversation about you being being biased for the F-14. No one cared that piece of shit of a plane until it got retired. Then people started to turn fanboy and start to compare other planes (most of the time, saying the other plane is crap comparing to the tomcat) Well it's a piece of shit. And that's why they got shredded and dumped in the ocean like the piece of shit they are LOL.

  • Listen you moron, I never even mentioned the F-14, I have no idea what you're rambling on about.

  • @Tomcatsux4ever it was an amazing, and revolutionary aircraft for its time, it simply eventually became outdated like all aircraft in the u.s military. it was still amazing at filling its role as a carrier defense fighter, just smaller, more efficient and beter capable f-18s took its place in due time.

  • @Tomcatsux4ever ok u rlly need 2 stop all these hate comments....have you EVER flew an F-14D Super Tomcat? i didnt think so...its an exhilarating experience....so stop being a douche....and get a life

  • It can point it's nose anywhere long before the Legacy bug can. It's maneuvering is much more impressive.

  • Turn and burn!

  • Thanks for putting this up....I've been wanting to "re-live" that first high speed pass ever since that day....great show!

  • I can't lie, its no Tomcat but still pretty damn cool, the maneuvers make you think it has thrust vectoring

  • Yeah, I agree. Those stabilators have a serious effect on controlling this aircraft.

Give this thing thrust vectoring and it would be a world beater.

  • @BDKR Nasa has experimented on the now aptly named "legacy" alpha through delta hornets with minor thrust vectoring exhaust nozzles. Very, very, very impressive displays I must say. Look it up, you should be able to find something on it.

  • anyone got the music list for this demo?

  • at 8:27 is that a bird?

  • Comment removed

  • High speed bird pass.

  • i was just recently at the airshow in the beach in new york...seeing the f/18,thunderbirds and company over the water was pretty cool...however i perfer the blue angels

  • i saw this one. it was incredible! great TACDEMO.

  • sick man! i luv the f18 first taking off!
