@ annie4ever75 I say whatever I want to say..that's everybody right and personal opinion..leave our opinion alone..hell !!! after she left Elvis and Elvis died she return and still using Presley's name even she's no longger his wife after 73...what a fortune that she have until now...
What dingleberry thinks that this is NOT Elvis?? Every true Elvis fan has NO QUESTION about it...IT IS ABSOLUTELY Elvis!! If you don't think so, you're not a hardcore fan. This was Elvis playin around while recording it, was not meant for release, but I love seein the personal side of him playin around like this!
Elvis was a very funny guy with a great great sense of humor. I witnessed some of it when he stopped into the Vickers gas station in Memphis. Elvis was the personification of the word cool. There will never ever be another...or anyone even close!
What a range this guy had. When he died there was a line of people at a store. Some jerk made the comment that he couldn't sing. A lady in line turned around and said, "I have been an Opera teacher for many years at The Ohio State University. Elvis Presley had an incredible voice and a range that few singers are ever blessed with. He could have been an Opera singer had he wanted to. You may not like him, but you don't know what you are talking about if you say he can't sing."
It IS Elvis...a shame he has been shown this way in public. Raw emotions...probably real at the time; but I don't think it should have been made public. Elvis got LOST in his fame, isolated...so sad! Such TALENT! He was isolated because of his talent. Can't imagine how it felt......he will ALWAYS be "the KING!" His "tragedy" is comparable to Michael Jackson. True legends....but the media took so much from them. Is it any wonder that Lisa Marie was drawn to MJ?
Yes Elvis was hurt by Priscilla, but he was also hurt by the Mafia guys that wrote that aweful book about him. He had to many users and hangers on. These were people that he loved and trusted and they betrayed him. I think that hurt him in the end more than anything.
@kevinhof63 yeah its elvis but its not a tape recorder sitting ontop of the piano its real recording from rca's trucks parked outside graceland during the now famous jungle room sessions. he got in a whole hell of a lot of trouble for this too rca engineers called rca and told on him and rca called elvis's manager and he got reemed out and he was pissed and spent the rest of his time in his room and only recorded when he felt like it. this is what would be his last ever recording session
Excellent guy, he so missed cilla to his downfall i wished he knew the world now !!!, may be wise to wise to takers E.T.C , What shocking a voice!!!!!!!!! ,the world as missed out to the best entertainer in the world ever due to a woman!!!!!!, but she`s still cashing in!!!!! poor elvis a bad judge or so taken in by the col, i suspect the latter, my only wish was elvis had the net to wise upto these users
I believe Elvis actually said those because, heck, he did swear and cuss, then again most humans do or have at some point in their life. It sounded like it was rehearsal so, Elvis, being the joke-ster and child at heart, had to add some more adjectives to the song. ;D
It shows you how he felt inside and indeed he was hurt or he wouldn't of said those things on the recording, you can sense the pain he has when you hear him sing sometimes, especially last off in the late 70's. he sometimes used to do that in songs and change part of the lyric to what he wanted to say because of events that took place in his past that bugged him and maybe caused his depression shal we say.
So? I've heard him say much more than that..lol.. It's just that it wasn't on the records that people are so shocked. Elvis, swore, thought dirty thoughts, flipped people the bird, pissed outside, just like every other normal human being..
Didn't he do this as a joke to Vernon? I read that is one of the books. The speed is slightly off and it's not a multi - track dub, but I'd like to hear the full reel from that session!
I'm sorry, I must have mistaken/misunderstood... I was soo flustered that some people would make/fake such horrible recordings, & pass-it-off as ELVIS singing Live* Now, I have heard the hidden recordings, where he used a foul word or 2 when someone accused him of performing while on Heroine, & the Linda Thompsons house recording, where everybody was cussing... But Elvis in concert Live, NOOO*** You can distinguish between studio/Live & where there is audience, & not... IT's FAKE!!!
Like I mentioned, clearly you can hear (crowd) in the background, auditorium-audience... Soo, if he was in a studio, as you mentioned, why is there crowd in the background ?
Anyone, including myself, who is an ETA & I do mean a true/singer, entertainer-ETA could have dubbed their voice in to make it sound like Elvis... Now, I'm not saying that Elvis wouldn't have spoken foul words, cause' he has on the RAW- recordings done by: Linda Thompson. He would Not have spoke those words in a Live show*
Well, I can tell you* It's faked!!! Want to know how, listen close, very close. When the song is started, you can hear it's (studio) then it switches, as if it's Live-audience. Then when it's time for the dialouge* it sounds Live, but yet you hear no-audience, then when it switches to the singing for the climax of the song, you hear-audience again=??? Well, sorry but someone tried to be clever & run/audio/into each other, & forgot that a person, like me could be an investigator figured-it-out...
@davidelvismosley Naw, it's real. Nobody else could sing like that! Besides, it's his voice, as any real fan would recognize. But he's clearly messing around in the studio and it was not meant for the public to hear.
From opening night in Las Vegas, Aug. 19, 1974, comes a wonderful reading of 'Good Time Charlie's Got The Blues,' where Elvis sings "Play around you'll lose your wife - I already done that... Play too long you'll lose your life - I almost did that."
Very different from the studio recording from American Sound,Stranger In My Own Home Town' it's transformed into a slow blues, in the tempo of 'Reconsider Baby' or 'Merry Christmas Baby.' And the poetry is at full bloom here: "I'm gonna start drivin' that motherfuckin' truck again" - - - "all 'em cocksuckers stopped bein' friendly..." At the end he incorporates some of the members of the Memphis Mafia in an extra, spur-of-the-moment verse. And they tell me he didn't write songs!
Four songs are taken from a 1970 rehearsal: 'Heart of Rome' gets the romantic treatment with lyric changes as "I'll take a piss in ev'ry fountain." Funny? You be the judge. 'Memories' is a classic. While chewing gum, Elvis pants, imitates a cow, a dog, a cat and even Burton's wah-wah guitar.
In 'Hurt,' Elvis incorporates words like "goddammit", "shit", "cocksucker" and "motherfucker" to the lyrics during the recitation. The funny thing is that it's a complete take and not bad at all, 'cept for the swearing, of course. The original tape was allegedly destroyed by Felton Jarvis' wife, due to the vulgar (and tragic!) nature of the performance.
'Cindy, Cindy' features an extensive guitar solo by James Burton. Elvis shouts "Fade this motherfucker!" at the end. The Memphis sessions are represented with the well-known alternate take of 'Only The Strong Survive' where Elvis is recitin' a letter: "Listen, you little cocksucker..." From a '74 rehearsal comes yet another "motherfucker" as 'Promised Land' gets some poetic justice: "...the motherfucker's on the line".
HAHAHAHAHHAHA Thats Funny ... HEY Elvis was not a prude and he did some funny things , he was actually naturally funny and had a amazing sense of humour and timing for it . But im so sorry to say this naughty words where not elvis they have been dubed over the original lyric , but very clever and im sure he did use someof those words at times in his life hehehee
i mean it doesnt matter, does it? it doesnt make him any less great. he is the most amazing person that ever lived, besides jesus christ of course, and i think god had a special plan for him to be where he was. elvis still lives in my heart personally, and it doesnt matter what he says or does. he is a great american man who used his talents for good, and that will always be remembered.
Some of my favorite songs/videos are of Elvis messing up and laughing at himself. I like hearing this "human" side of him and not the "star" facade. Thank you for posting it.
Yeah it's our Elvis LOL.. he is human like everyone else and likes to have fun and joke around.. this is just the side that many didnt get to see.. He is a fun person :)
Yes he did sing this song in concert,it was actualy the last concert he ever did,i have the last concert dvd and it also has the sad song Are You Lonesome Tonight, the sad version,,
I'm sorry, but, NO*** I have the last concert on DVD from Indiana & the previous concerts along with it...
He did not speak those words, at all in that concert, & yes the DVD is real/unedited, & uncut... Why does everybody think Elvis would speak such words in a Live concert... He was too worried about kids being in the audiences, & offending people. He may have loosened-up off camera/studio, etc.& when he was just goofing-around, He had no-idea Linda Thompson taped them...
davidelvismosley ,,,,,,,Hi David,i think u may have mistaken what i said about Elvis,i know he didnt say that garbage, like i said i do have the last concert with him singing Hurt, theres no way that rubbish was on there,,,
It is Elvis singing, no doubt about that.. A good, if not sad, example of where his mind was when he recorded this song - the perscription drugs had taken their toll on him by this time, as they would have anyone in a similar situation. As he always said "Walk a Mile in My Shoes".Although he was indeed Blessed in many, many ways. I'll never hear a voice quite like his in my life time, of that I am sure.I also dont think that anyone person will influence and touch the world in quite the same way.
PELVIS30 - Do you really think that you would call someone whom you loved cocksocker, acting heated and resentful. That's not memorable sentiment to the ear. I mean, if you're boyfriend, on the other hand says, will you talk dirty to me. It's a turn on. And then I say, I guess so? How's this hot fucker and I start laughing. Dirty talk isn't fantasy for boyfriend or husband. I discovered with my first boyfriend. Maybe he got off on my saying "hot fucker," but I didn't? Sorry. Blue.
This was actually Elvis who at the time of the recording was mad at Vernon and told him that it was gonna be the real version of Hurt" This is not an impersonater it is what it is. Great jop pelvis I have the same version from some Elvis friends from memphis who turned me on to this tape in 1978
Love Elvis.....Hate priscilla ...That Ungrateful woman...She just want Money..after Elvis' death She cameback to Graceland to gain fortune and using elvis' money to live with other boyfriens..
@yustinusb54 She was good to him starting out, but he reallyhurt her and puther through hell. Elvis wasn't a saint. He cheated on her many times, so if priscillas a bitch whats that make Elvis??? You don't know every single thing that went on between them so don't try to act like it.
Pricilla Told elvis that she wanted a free life and cause He was devistated about that but tom jones his friend had always said that cause Presley adored Pricilla though he always belonged to Women not Woman .. after the Divorce of Pricilla
He soon dated a women called Linda thomson though he used her as a lover a bestfriend, a friend and like a Brother to her it was a awkward Relationship they also had.
Get real, for the love of God, why would you fantasise that Elvis would be above this level of conduct?????????? Elvis was human, hurt just like you & I, ached thru a broken heart, just like you & I, walked a mile in our shoe's, & still we love him, how cool is that////
This is not Elvis talking. Anyone with a background in sound editing can hear the split between the real Elvis singing and the impersonator talking. Now I know as well as any Elvis fan Elvis had a very dirty mouth. This is only an impersonator being inserted into the track that is all. I have heard at least 15 versions of this and all have some impersonator that is inserted into the track...
Elvis was a man just like any other with needs and feelings. He was crushed when he lost his mother and again when he lost Pricilla. I know he would have never hurt her like she hurt him.
God, listen to that vocal range!!! I also agree with most of the people leaving comments, I think Elvis was human, and he had emotions just like the rest of us.
I wish I spoke German... Anyway, YES, Elvis was quite human and like the King himself once said, "An image is one thing but a human being is another. It's very hard for a man to live up to the image." And I see nothing wrong with an adult using bad lanuguage. BIG FUCKING DEAL. He was having some fun and it didn't hurt anyone.
This was taped at Graceland. Not meant for public listening. Just Elvis blowing off steam. Someone here on Youtube said that Elvis later asked that the recording be erased. Interesting though shows Elvis could swear with the best of the LOL!
elvis recorded in the jungleroom of his graceland mansion because the people at rca knew i they wanted something new from him they had to go to him. his yearlong protest paid off. cstanchik
in 'A Hundred Years From Now.' The profanity is to be found in Elvis' pre-song comment: "There goes my fucking career, right down the drain." 'Cindy, Cindy' features an extensive guitar solo by James Burton. Elvis shouts "Fade this motherfucker!" at the end.
He´s Elvis friends, not fake like some have told here! We have several takes of songs that Elvis does her jokes and have rude language....And it was a joy to hear Elvis run down "Lady Banana" (Lady Mandonna)
Yes I believe it is Elvis too. But it really wasn't meant for public listening. It's Elvis being naughty...and funny too. We all have to let off a little steam and get crazy a little bit sometimes just to maintain our sanity. It really doesn't tarnish his image in my book and he did have it destroyed so what's the harm? He's my hero and will always be number 1 to me. If I'm down or depressed all I have to do is listen to him sing and it cheers me up. God Bless you Elvis.
@ErichH68 Note that Felton Jarvis introduced it as Take 69, indicating that it was previously set up for Elvis to do this. I've read that his father wanted to hear him record it and he did this deliberately when his father arrived. I have it clear and and the right speed on the Jungle Room sessions CD. I believe that it wasn't about anyone... it wouldn't even make sense if it was... just general swearing and stuffing up quite a good recording...
it IS Elvis. it was a prank on Vernon and the master tape was destroyed at Elvis' request. David Briggs, the piano player on the session had his own personal tape recorder rolling and this is what you have here.
You are correct, this was a joke done for Vernon's amusement. IIRC, Felton Jarvis' wife destroyed the master tape.. Anyone else is full of crap as it is Elvis. Even Ernst Jorgensen (Elvis reissue producer) has stated that this tape ia authentic.
knowingElvis....all these women spoke only with their lips but there hearts were on the money and sex because he was so famous and they fall for that!.....WOMEN OF THE WORLD!!....they are nothing but pieces of shits!!....sorry but it's true!..Elvis has been reincarnated back to earth to finish his mission. He was born back on 2004 and he is now a 5 year old with brown hair. All I know is that he is back to earth as a kid borned to different parents!!..
Elvis was so hurt that he died heartbroken besides the fact......He was so hurt but at the same time he couldn't help the fact that he was so famous and popular that he had to keep up with his fans!.....trouble was...Priscilla couldn't handle his popularity and I feel that she didn't really care about him....all these stupid women that he had cared about was his money and sex with him!....so sad how the women of this world are!....Elvis needed a someone kind and loving !
Even though my dad knew Elvis had language and he trusted soundboards - he could never believe this was Elvis. Oh he knew the singing was Elvis, but felt someone had added the "cussing" on this one as a joke.
Although he knew Elvis could be raunchy, just never thought it was him here due to the pitch between the singing and the talking. I, personally think it is him.
maybe it was just elvis messing about, he had a good sense of humor i hear.

I may not be a professional but as God is my witness...a computer could not fool me. I'm an expert when it comes to Elvis' voice.
It's really irritating for me to hear imitators in Vegas or anywhere.
However I must admit the spoken area of the song is "dubious" but if I hada gun to my head and HAD to make a call I would say it was his voice.

Sorry. Blue.

Long live the king! haha love the x-rated version. Elvis sang this song live in concert, I think it was in 1977.

This was actually Elvis who at the time of the recording was mad at Vernon and told him that it was gonna be the real version of Hurt" This is not an impersonater it is what it is. Great jop pelvis I have the same version from some Elvis friends from memphis who turned me on to this tape in 1978

Love Elvis.....Hate priscilla ...That Ungrateful woman...She just want Money..after Elvis' death She cameback to Graceland to gain fortune and using elvis' money to live with other boyfriens..
yustinusb54 2 years ago 4
@yustinusb54 She was good to him starting out, but he reallyhurt her and puther through hell. Elvis wasn't a saint. He cheated on her many times, so if priscillas a bitch whats that make Elvis??? You don't know every single thing that went on between them so don't try to act like it.

Pricilla Told elvis that she wanted a free life and cause He was devistated about that but tom jones his friend had always said that cause Presley adored Pricilla though he always belonged to Women not Woman .. after the Divorce of Pricilla
He soon dated a women called Linda thomson though he used her as a lover a bestfriend, a friend and like a Brother to her it was a awkward Relationship they also had.
though Elvis was the KING.
and an amazing Performer

Get real, for the love of God, why would you fantasise that Elvis would be above this level of conduct?????????? Elvis was human, hurt just like you & I, ached thru a broken heart, just like you & I, walked a mile in our shoe's, & still we love him, how cool is that////
RainbowsRuleYourFish 2 years ago 2
This is not Elvis talking. Anyone with a background in sound editing can hear the split between the real Elvis singing and the impersonator talking. Now I know as well as any Elvis fan Elvis had a very dirty mouth. This is only an impersonator being inserted into the track that is all. I have heard at least 15 versions of this and all have some impersonator that is inserted into the track...
swcollier1970 2 years ago
Elvis was a man just like any other with needs and feelings. He was crushed when he lost his mother and again when he lost Pricilla. I know he would have never hurt her like she hurt him.

God, listen to that vocal range!!! I also agree with most of the people leaving comments, I think Elvis was human, and he had emotions just like the rest of us.
Thanks for uploading! :)

As I always say...if you don't want anyone to hear your bad mouth then keep the recorder off.
However...being the huge Elvis fan that I am...I am so glad that someone had the brains to record this.
Elvis was a person. He made mistakes like the rest of us.
He was also the greatest singer ever born! That one person can have this much talent and good looks is simply astounding to me.
I am so glad that God allowed such a person to be born.
We are lucky to be witness to this.
Keep it real!

This was taped at Graceland. Not meant for public listening. Just Elvis blowing off steam. Someone here on Youtube said that Elvis later asked that the recording be erased. Interesting though shows Elvis could swear with the best of the LOL!

in 'A Hundred Years From Now.' The profanity is to be found in Elvis' pre-song comment: "There goes my fucking career, right down the drain." 'Cindy, Cindy' features an extensive guitar solo by James Burton.

Well said
pelvis30 2 years ago
@ErichH68 Note that Felton Jarvis introduced it as Take 69, indicating that it was previously set up for Elvis to do this. I've read that his father wanted to hear him record it and he did this deliberately when his father arrived. I have it clear and and the right speed on the Jungle Room sessions CD. I believe that it wasn't about anyone... it wouldn't even make sense if it was... just general swearing and stuffing up quite a good recording...
jennytmaher 7 months ago
it IS Elvis. it was a prank on Vernon and the master tape was destroyed at Elvis' request. David Briggs, the piano player on the session had his own personal tape recorder rolling and this is what you have here.
artfromtex 2 years ago 3
You are correct, this was a joke done for Vernon's amusement. IIRC, Felton Jarvis' wife destroyed the master tape.. Anyone else is full of crap as it is Elvis. Even Ernst Jorgensen (Elvis reissue producer) has stated that this tape ia authentic.
cesarr956 2 years ago 2
Certainly not Elvis Speaking. It's a joke. For sure he had a temper, but never in a million years would he sink to that level.
Good edit though.

I think even Ernst Jorgenson said it was real.
