@jacTheRipOff It's called weapon familiarization. Soldiers have to do it every so often on a different range of weapons. These are the times were you head out and just shoot targets with whatever small arms they decide to take out.

Just in case they get overrun and end up having to use a different weapon that isn't their primary weapon. I was qualified on an M16, M4, and M9, but can shoot pretty much every small arms, including grenade launchers.

@ShiroiLuke actually youd be surprised on the recoil. while the rifle is big and packs an amazing punch, the kick from the recoil is greatly reduced by the design of the gun. the muzzle break, stock, semi auto firing rate, etc reduce the recoil to a manageable amount. it has slightly more kick than a 12 gauge shotgun, but a hell of a lot more penetration power. now i cant comment on how much the thing weighs because ive never lifted one but it cant be to bad as soldiers do

@13thmistral now days, the M2 browning has a range on 1800 meters, 2000 yards. Which means, you can set any type of scope on it. Even the ACOG. And sit on the ground and fire shots with it, and then it can be used for it. But, the weapon itself is never used for it so. And if someone are going to make a battlerifle like that, then... the muzzlebreak will mostly fuck up everything :p
