The Teutonic Knights themselves would have hailed from the Holy Roman Empire. In Age of Empires 'Teutons' is probably just a substitute name for Holy Roman Empire.

@darthbandon10 its pretty different, i've got into the beta. i haven't played it too much yet, but its still got the old aoe feel to it, although the graphics are pretty cartoony. its pretty good, really cool concept

i think you would enjoy it if you liked the other games.

one hint if you ever do play it, nothing beets the aoe2 music. so when playing aoe online. mute music, and have this on in the background instead :P

@666241333 had the same thing. My problem was that is was just copied from a folder and therefor it wasn't from a cd. I believe the music comes from the cd while playing the game or something. Do what I do, be a freak and put the music in your itunes, then play the gameplay music and play lol

I can tell you guys, this is the best Age of Empires ever made. It is PERFECT. Great music, awesome gameplay, great graphics for it's time.... I dunno what happened with AOE III..... I hope they recover the franchise in a fourth game :D

@lafther210 I don't think that they will make it as "modern warfare" since all Empires are extinct since the XIX Century. The game is called "Age of Empires" and is a historical game. However your idea of remastering the classics is great or remaking them with 3D models and updated graphics.

actually it can be argued empires ended after the first world war. the final blow was the decolonization. That is what I meant by modern warfare, post-Victorian.

Actually, that be a great thing. We have the Enlightenment Age (mid and late 1700's) Revolutionary age (early 1800's), Victorian Age and finally Global Age and Post-Global Age (roughly 1900's - 1939). i always wondered why they have post ages, they are unnecessary.

This song is amazing, Gives me chills, all of the memories! All the soldiers that died during this theme, and most of them died outside of the enemy base, we always attacked at the same time ^^

Oh, and those 3 front battles, one army on each doorstep, and I had to fight back all 3 of em, I cant remember mass producing units as much as that time, when it was close to over, I ran out of resources, and had to use all I had to defend my beloved church with the relics :D

I love these songs, but my Collectors Edition only works with MIDI versions of them copied over from the demo. They sound terrible in comparison, but the proper mp3 files are on the DVD, is there any way to copy them to my hard drive and play them from a folder rather than the disk (Which doesn't work, hence the MIDI versions)
