I live is Essex in England. I have duel nationality and was born and raised in Oz. I grew up not really knowing about racism. In my high school in Queensland there was black, white, Asian, and European. The most we ever knew about racism was from a few parents (can't actually remember any) and TV. That being said, however, I lived in an area that was full of Pakistani and Indian culture. People around us were extremely tolerant of Indians and Pakistani people, Africans and Jamaicans. @ferret630 I don't think Australia is racist...but being born and raised as a white girl in England to American parents, I understand how intolerant English people can be, even to Americans who are white. That being said, however, I lived in an area that was full of Pakistani and Indian culture. People around us were extremely tolerant of Indians and Pakistani people, Africans and Jamaicans. I believe that in the end every country will be the same, there are tolerant people and racist people.

Im an Australian currently working in New Zealand. I try to get back home twice a year to see my family but to be honest, i dont miss being away from home as I use to. Australia is becoming too multicultural for my liking. When I was in Syd last Aug 09, I found it to be very dirty & it was like spot the white aussie meaning who could speak english.
