  • I have to listen to it on the internet because I have the tape of Start The Car. I love it. I haven't heard anything from it in years until the other day at work. I came home and looked him up!

  • Love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • HUGE talent!!!!!!! AWESOME....

  • Oh it's a different ad every time I didn't realize that. But you need that SOPA/PIPA ad unless you want the internet to become another Enron, or AIG, or Bear Stearns, or LTCM, or just something else that the current power structure uses to manipulate you.

  • How can ANYONE dislike this video? Looks like three idiots can.

  • Love this guy his soundtrack music for last light movie was the first time i had ever heard his stuff i did NOT even realize he sang until i bought album .

  • aspen extreme....great movie! better song!!!!

  • Jimmy Bell is HJ909X Rock On Jude!

  • Still one of my all time favorites by the man!

  • my life songs...

  • It made my Summer...

  • Great song!!

  • Cool song.

  • i remember reading an article where jude said about the studio version of the song, 'they put horns on it!', almost in disgust. no wonder he didn't go much further commerically.

  • I have almost forgotten how good this song was :-) What a wonderful groove! Jude rocks my world world forever.

  • One of my favorite albums...I actually drew out a storyboard for a commercial to this song...! Jude is SOOO good...

  • Aspen Extreme!

  • One time co-writer was Kiefer Sutherland

  • Jude Cole was in a band called The Records on Virgin Records. They were from London, England and Jude was the only American in the band. They released about 3 albums. The two main singers were John Wicks and Jude. Both of them are now part of the Los Angeles music scene. I wouldn't be surprised if Jude and John have done or will do a reunion tour with The Records, as they have a cult following with fans of power pop and punk music.

  • i always love this song i had a friend who played in in a club n.c. we lovethis song BUT that lady singing back up is aweson and pretty and sexy love you baby

  • dad showed me one of his tape recordings and he showed me this song by it sounded way better on his tape recording than here.

  • Lovin this tune. It's been a long, hard road ...

  • love the song...but leave that mandolin out, never liked the sound a mandolin makes.

This has Blues roots leave the thing out please...otherwise good song

  • @ homeskillet1962: Some of my stuff is easily found here. Just look up Lou Gramm and his solo efforts...a band named Stage Dolls. Most of Journey's stuff. Much of it would be considered too "mainstream", but I like a certain sound with a certain amount of creativity. Even Queensryche's Empire album had what it takes...polish and effort. Cheers.

  • I love the guitar riff in this song

  • This song simply ROCKS!

  • Loved this album and A View From 3rd Street, need to go find the rest of his albums.

  • the man can write songs, he can sing, and he was great to look at!

  • I got all his albums ... J. Bell

  • I have loved him since "Time for Letting Go"....he is one of the best songwriters out there, definitely agreed.

  • Actually, this is stiff as hell. Drum samples, early-nineties' style. A million demos and too many records sounded like this back then. He sings well, sort Foreigner influence there. It's so controlled that it fails to have hips. It's well-written, but we've heard it all before. In a nutshell, NOTHING about it is vaguely original. It is well executed, but will not go anywhere.

  • @2consul "But will not go anywhere." What a MORONIC statement.

  • @2consul What do you mean not go anywhere? This song came out in 1992 and was played a lot on rock radio

  • @ shadowheart52: Because most people are impressed with crap. The more work it takes to make a song, the less people seem to like it. AC / DC and the Doors could probably tell you all about it, lol.

  • @BoosterTerrick1 Post some of your songs.

  • What a talent !!! yet more proof that the coperate music system doesn't work

  • This album (Start The Car) made me a true diehard Jude Cole fan......great writer, great singer.....put the CD in the player sit back and sing along......great!

  • Great, great song. Cool video, too

  • Wow...that was way cool!! diggin' Jude's version...the writer knows best!

  • I love his music and his voice! And Dang He's so Good Looking! yummy!

  • This guy is AWESOME!

  • Woefully under-appreciated...

  • The 80's still ROCK and so does Jude Cole{John Mayer is ripping off his sound!}

  • Kick ass video to go with a kick ass song!!!

  • Why more music like this TOTALLY AWESOME tune doesn't get more recognition is beyond me .. instead we're stuck with NICKELCRAP and loads of other shite .. thank god for satellite radio !!! .. This song has everything .. Canada's Sass Jordan is the back singer on this track

  • Hi Everyone,

I met Jude back in the early 80's when he was doing a promotional tour of Austalia,he came to the Brashs store in Chatswood,I loved the album so much I bought it on Cd and still have it.It has so many great songs including this one.Once of the classic singers, there should be more like him today.

  • Great song, great album. One of those that does not have a bad track. I always take this one to play on road trips.

  • It's a great tune.. it's sucks that warnerbros won't allow you to share it with others.. seriously how do you expect to sell anything if you privatize the video!!!

  • Jude Cole is the shit!

  • Kick ass video!!!! Love the way it was filmed!

  • This will give you the Chills............

That's how Damn good it is!!!!!!!!!

He was the Ice, of sound and Lyrics for over a decade.

  • @disalitervisum Fuckin' A, man. How do artists like this fly under the radar?

  • @disalitervisum GOT IT!

  • @disalitervisum all of them ;-)skip the first one...

  • Completely underrated artist.

  • Ditto waywardsmile!

Awesome vocals, music arrangement and lyrics. This one is a keeper!

  • @waywardsmile he produces now and is quite successful!

  • @waywardsmile

    Very true!

  • @waywardsmile totally agree!

  • @waywardsmile : Well, everyone knows about IRONWORKS.....

  • This geezer must be the love child of David Essex.

  • Yeah you're right, he does look like David. Rock on!

  • I used to play him on top 40 radio, back when I was a dj. He was on the charts for a while, but then dropped off the planet. His latest claim to fame? He manages/produces a group called Lifehouse.

  • I just asked my hubby who listens to Country 24.7 on US99 in Chicago if he heard of him. He said no. I think that's a shame. He's good. I might have to suggest to US99!

  • The corporate radio crowd didnt get enough payola

  • Great songwriter and musician...why wasn't this guy bigger ?

  • because real musicians never get recognised

  • C'mon now we got the Joanass Brothers, Millie Cyrus. What else can brain washed American's want.
