I think people probably complained because let's face it, every couple of years you see something on the news about some 8 year old kid driving at 200mph down the freeway and refusing to stop for the police. The ad would have been better without the surprised looking adult (which I think would just make kids - not babies, but ordinary kids - think it was a cool idea.)

I tell you what folks in Australia: some of Aussies have bad taste on ad lol you see, this ad is perfectly fine and very imaginative, yet gives good feeling about this car (not great, though). Another classic example is, last year (2010) they banned The all new BMW Z4 ad with tyle-becomes-paint-brush theme and act. Guess what? Not quite same, they allowed tyre-screeching Ford Fiesta on ad (now!) - what a joke! Just because fiesta is supermini, doesn't mean it is not capable of, well, as Z4 lol
