@discombobulator97 Hmm, it's stretching a point to call it a song - doesn't have any words! (Wonder if anyone's ever tried putting words to it? Apart from football supporters!)
This is one of the finest marches ever and the film is still a classic now. I grew up watching all the old war films and have seen The Dambusters 30 times.
Ever seen the British Light Infantry doing their quick march? Amazing. And to hear their band playing while marching at ultra quick time is even more awe inspiring.
Way too fast tempo.

@TheBarty92 Did you stick with it through the lively intro? Or are you just referring to the tunes' quickened tempo?

Heard this on Classic FM today - quite appropriate since we went to a 1940s wartime event at the East Lancs Railway!

@Inkyminkyzizwoz It's the setting to an Anglican hymn, "God Is Our Strength and Refuge." :-)

I think this march sums up the quiet determination of the British people in World War II. It's also a damn good piece of music!

What a legendary march. <3 Despite my youthful age, I love all the old war films and the themes are just so recognizable.
