  • Way too fast tempo.

  • Were they in a hurry to get to the pub?

  • My grandad was in the dam buster squadron

  • 3 people had their houses washed away by a dam burst.

  • thats not the march :(

  • @TheBarty92 Did you stick with it through the lively intro? Or are you just referring to the tunes' quickened tempo?

  • Heard this on Classic FM today - quite appropriate since we went to a 1940s wartime event at the East Lancs Railway!

  • BRITAIN FOREVER lovethis song so much!

  • @discombobulator97 Hmm, it's stretching a point to call it a song - doesn't have any words! (Wonder if anyone's ever tried putting words to it? Apart from football supporters!)

  • @Inkyminkyzizwoz It's the setting to an Anglican hymn, "God Is Our Strength and Refuge." :-)

  • I love this piece! We're playing it in our school orchestra. Quintessentially British!

  • I think this march sums up the quiet determination of the British people in World War II. It's also a damn good piece of musc!

  • The music sums up everything British about WW2

  • No picture or video of actually play :(:|

  • Brilliant march :)

  • Salute!! Royal Army!!

  • Very very British march

  • What a legendary march. <3 Despite my youthful age, I love all the old war films and the themes are just so recognizable.

  • This is one of the finest marches ever and the film is still a classic now. I grew up watching all the old war films and have seen The Dambusters 30 times.

  • Ah man. I've seen Jurassic Park about 19 times and I thought that was a lot..

  • Try marching to that, you'd be tripping over the person in front

  • the person infront of u wud be marching as fast as u "/

  • I mean it would be very hard to keep in time

  • It'd be wonderful

  • Ever seen the British Light Infantry doing their quick march? Amazing. And to hear their band playing while marching at ultra quick time is even more awe inspiring.

  • Definitely the most recognisable and most popular marches of all time and was even a top 20 hit in 1955.

  • cool, we're playing this in my band

  • Uuh, what a catchy tune. v__V

  • i dont know why but the start of this song reminded me of the starfox games
