i like this woman's singing, its light which is good for the character, she's not supposed to be one of those super loud singers with the horn helmet and braids, i think she did a great job.

De Niese is just great here. Ok everybody agrees she's far from the best interpretation we've heard, but at least we have a play here that is good, and actors fits the ages of characters. It's something that I appreciate. The modern aspect is something that I like also, it's very well done and I'm not shocked by the choice of the turning set, it's convenient and it's not THAT cheap ^^

Then again, it could be the conductor's fault as he does leave quite a long pause, more than usual, on that final bit, and that could confuse some members of the audience, who are less familiar with Cosi.

I am not going to defend the morals of "Così" but I'm surprised that you take exception to this detail. Despina is trying to induce the sisters into befriending the two strangers in a way that goes a somewhat further than holding hands. :-)

To give Dorabella a pack of condoms seems the sensible thing to do. What would you suggest?

15 anni have little to do with it: both sisters are engaged so have an age where you are worried that irreversible things happen if you don't take precautions.

After all, we are living in 21st centery, are we not? That's the beauty of Mozart's music, that you can listen to it and understand it in any time, but the stage reading of caracters is something elese. If the director has a strong concepcion and viosin of how the work should be presented, and ability to convey his ideas with soloists, than we should just enjoy orselves.
