I completely agree with your take on Scary Movie. I, too, watched it before Scream and thought it was funny - but over the top. It really didn't need to be made at all. It was pretty much telling all the genius jokes used in Scream, but overdoing the punch lines. Scream was made to be clever and self-prophesying... Scary Movie just made money off of dumbing the jokes down for a less-than-intelligent audience.

i hope it doesnt go to hell...like jason...haha, they are making scream 4, 5 and 6, david arquette and courtney cox arquette already confirmed their roles and wes craven said hes on board to direct as long as they come up with a descent script...sounds promising
