  • let's a take a loot at what religion has accomplished:

1.) Bringing "world peace" by forceful conversion

2.) Causing a handful of fucked up wars

3.) Brainwashing and proselytizing the sheep

4.) Blocking the true miracle that is science from solving real problems

fuck u jesus, fuck u allah, fuck u YHWH, fuck all you "supremely powerful" sacks of shit.

  • The irony is this video that may not be known is that Mark Twain was an outspoken atheist.

  • I think this may give us a lesson. Greed and corruption leads to divine retribution

  • the cake is a lie

  • @J7XD Oi believe you mean Da fuk

  • Spinoza would like the fact that there is only one substance (clay)

  • I agree with rednose70 u got a point religion has been manipulated so many times over I think it just makes my generation not want religion I personally didn't find religion till I joined the army cuz before I thought it was so twisted by people that I didn't know who was right or wrong about god

  • im glad i gave up drugs or i might be on the floor in the fetal position right now

  • my kids will never forget this

  • I feel like I'm watching one of those plays at church.

  • like if you thought mark twain was Einstein the first time you saw him

    Seems a trustworthy enough fellow.

  • of course the gingers favorite color is orange

  • This is amazing. The most thought-provoking material I've seen in a kid's show.

  • Why aren't more cartoons like this?

  • Comment removed

  • Fuckin epic!

  • this makes me feel.....uncomfortable.

  • Creepy yet beautiful claymation

  • In that story, Satan was just the name of that angel. He was named after his uncle, the other Satan that everybody knows.

Just thought you should know that the Satan in the story was an actual angel instead of the devil himself.

  • Satan seems a lot like the Christian "God" to me.

  • @MartyrLoserKing Read The Mysterious Stranger - it's in the public domain, you can find it on Google. It makes a few really good points about religion, humanity, and morality.

  • It's ironic how the little girl chose an apple.

    Eve

  • Girl:Who are you?

    Mysterious Stranger: An Angel

    Huck: What's your name?

    Mysterious Stranger:SATAN

    AWWW SHIT lol

  • Lawl. The ginger likes oranges.

  • Life itself is only a vision, a dream, nothing exists but empty space and you. And you, are but a thought. Damn Twain that was some deep shit.

  • @6flakes He wrote this when he was dying. It was a mental excercise exploring the duality of Self; waking self vs dream self. It was some pretty deep sh*t for a kiddie film.

  • 39 people like this

  • kids don't play with satan ok

  • Same thing happens when I play Age of Empires.

  • @KokaKolaKan Don't lie the Huns kick your ass!

  • A truly inspired depiction of Lucifer; nothing like the classics to give you a better vision of evil than is typical today.

  • @keithsimonh In The Actual Short Story which is quite different from The Claymation aside from Satan`s Appearance before A Group of Children , Satan claims to be The " Other " Satan`s Nephew though it`s left ambiguous whether he`s telling The Truth or not ! The Short Story is somewhat longer than The Claymation and takes place in A London Orphanage ! The Claymation seems to imply he is indeed The Devil ! BTW , Lucifer , Hassatan , Beelzebub , Belial and Satan the Devil are different !

  • This shouldn't have been part of the childrens' show because it was one of mark twain's anti-religion story :o!

  • @GhettoboyPEZ Why is that a reason it shouldn't be part of the children's show?

  • @compwiz00 cause back then anything associated to religion was fairly prohibited and besides what kid is going to understand mark twain's more unique writings such as this one and his other later ones.

  • @GhettoboyPEZ I agree this isn't really kids show material, but not because it's anti-religion, but because it's creepy as hell and is might scare kids too much. Although, it is always a good thing to show kids things that might make them think about things a lot. The basic concept shown here isn't too hard to understand, and most kids could probably grasp it, depending on their age. It's not too complex. It might not be appropriate, but that has little to do with its religious content.

  • @compwiz00 either way why the hell is this a kids show lol?

  • @GhettoboyPEZ That's a very good question, but it's no worse than Watership Down. (Search for it on youtube. I've never seen so much violence and gore in a kid's show.)

  • @compwiz00 Wow. I have never seen the movie, but I agree completely wiht your statement.

  • @GhettoboyPEZ Religion is the scum of the earth. No better time than childhood to steer kids clear of a life of oppression and lies.

  • @MikehMike01 scum of the earth? Really?

  • @MikehMike01 Well said

  • @MikehMike01 You are my hero, Mr. Pez. <3

  • @MikehMike01 To declare something a lie simply because you disagree... and you think I'm the one who's thoughtless. It does make sense that you would like this video though, afterall, Lucifer's greatest achievement was convincing the world that he doesn't exist.

  • @yeroctehh4xor I agree. I didn't believe in God until I discovered the existence of Satan. Then, I wanted facts. Look at Fibonacci's Sequence, Quantum Physics, and human DNA. An architect created the universe! DUH !! And guess what? Satan is a fucking asshole !!!!! He wants to destroy what the great architect has done for us!! people don't need faith they need facts!!!!

  • @MikehMike01 your a fuckin idiot.... relgion does cause problems only because its been manipulated over and over again and eveyrone hears about false prophits molesting kids so that gives religion a bad name aswell... but just remember god has his people and the devil has his... and in this case no better time than childhood to steer kids right to the path of satan and manipulation... jesus is real and the devil just makes the weak confused ;)

  • This shit is so ILL!

  • I am creeped out and in ahw. This is so intriguing.

  • I hate this.

  • What is this I dont even

  • Satan's angel name was Lucifer though

  • "he's like my papa on Saturday night"

  • this is terrifying

  • Welcome to the Damned Human Race! :D

  • captain obvious: wow its like an island

    NO IT IS AN ISLAND

  • That ginger had no problem just walking into Satan's domain.

  • @DeimosOne haha, gingers have no souls reference

  • @DeimosOne SHE HAS NO SOUL!

  • @DeimosOne GINGERS HAVE NO SOUL!

  • METACLAYMATION

  • omg that voice, it's from system shock

  • The soldier at 3:50 laughs like elmo

  • Corruption, malevolence. Everyone has a sense of age-appropriateness with regard to teaching children about sex, but I really can't imagine how I'd teach mine about power, when I have them.

  • "Please...come in." Uh, no thanks.

  • Welcome to The Damned Human Race!

  • Solipsism?

  • Comment removed

  • @apol77lo: I assume that you are referring to God?

  • I can't believe this was a kids show!! This was entirely creepy to watch. I'm gonna need some Ricky Gervais to cancel the effects of this.

  • @anetchi lol yeah mark twain is sick in his dome piece!

  • @anetchi It wasn't.. It was a film and was not made for kids

  • Comment removed

  • The first kid gets a armful of oranges, drops all but one, and doesn't even take a bite out of it. FAIL

  • @DeathToTheseWalls

He does take a bite actually, just before he takes the clay ball from Satan.

  • @Abazigal I noticed this shortly after leaving my comment ...

  • Why is Fionn Regan made of clay now?

  • @Nuggss Eh Fionn Regan the artists? Man I loved his first EP.

  • see, we need more shows like this for the kids!

  • Some of Will Vinton's best work.

  • So fucking weird/disturbing. I enjoyed this.

  • Mark Twain was one of the most bizzarre yet ingenious minds of all time.

    This reflects it. Dat philosophy.

  • Mark Twain was one of the most bizzarre yet ingenious minds of all time.

    This reflects it.

  • Welcome to the damned human race! :D

  • holy fucknuts...

  • how educational.

  • That was AWESOME!!

  • Clay figures are playing with clay figures.

    Clayception!

  • @ke1tar93 moral orel also sports this concept. at the end of each episode is animation of him making stop motion animation

  • Interesting... how much is this film like to Mark Twain's actual written works? Still want to be convinced on whether or not I should see this..

  • @ariesfairies This section is based off "Mysterious Stranger." While obviously disregarding the plot, it nails the themes of the story.

  • truth.

  • why would u follow a complete stranger that materializes out of nowhere and identifies themselves as Satan to begin with?

  • very profound philosophical perception of the human existence..

  • Well doesn't this look fun

  • wtf?

  • I thought the 10 seconds that Injun Joe was there was scarier.

  • I would like everyone to know that i have a boner. Thanks.

  • @sk84nintendo Far from it.

  • 1984? how appropriate.

  • imdb says this is from 1986 actually.

  • what was the name of this episode?

  • @LiquoriceZombie2 Yep :D Nothing like exposing your children to fatalism

  • ya but they find out injun joe is one for the professors robots he created in the fourth book

  • OKAY.....That INJUN JOE part FreaKed the HELL out of me!!!! I can only imagine what terror that would strike into a kid!

  • "Life itself is only a Vision. A Dream.....Nothing Exists except an Empty Space and You...... And You are but a Thought...."

  • I LOVE Satan's MASK ... I sooo wish I could have it!!

  • I would have stayed with ''Satan'', and became a product of his darkness...

  • Guys, this is based off of an unfinished novel Mark was working on towards the time of his death. This said book was called quote, "The Mysterious Stranger," that being said, the plot of the book follows the nephew of the damned Lucifer Satan from the Bible. The nephew's name is Satan. Here, the director is alluding to the nephew, not the actual Lucifer.

  • satan seems lovely

  • 1. This is a made-for-television feature. It is NOT a children's show any more than "Tom Sawyer" and "Huckleberry Finn" are children's books.

    2. This bit is a very accurate modernization of the central portion of his work, "The Mysterious Stranger."

  • If this creeped you out, listen to this. 666 is a number of a man (rev 13.18) but which man? This number is a cycle (360° = 1 cycle. 720° = 2 cycles). 666° - 360° = 306°. Now trace 306° around the zodiac chart and you end up 6° within the 11th house, Aquarius (300°). We found the Man, but According to Sabian symbols, Aquarius degree 6 (306) means "A MASKED figure performs ritualistic acts in a mystery play".

  • @Jeorney Oh. I thought 666 was just my lucky number. Looks like it doesn't belong to me at all.

  • This owns

  • Wow, that is some freaky stuff, right there...o.o

  • this is dark and creepy but all to true which is scary.

  • that is dark as hell... I just realized how redundant that statement is

  • ok, the injun joe part almost made me crap myself

  • The klay people part looks like a Knox animation.

  • id say only in japan but...

  • trippy

  • It's as if David Lynch tried his hand at stop motion animation.

  • "It comes naturally to me like touching children"

  • "Looks like my pap on a saturday night " rofl

  • I like the casual "uh oh."

  • GOD AND LUCIFER WERE FRIENDS ANTIL LUCIFER WANTED THE FAME AND THEN HE BECAME EVIL THATS WHY ALMOST ALL THE FAMOUS PEOPLE BECOME EVIL ! ! ! ! ! !

  • @MrKidduece wow ur stupidity is overwhelming

  • @MrKidduece

OMG I KNOW! LYK WTF! Cunt whistler.

  • @MrKidduece you're retarded ahahah

  • HAH! This whole time I thought he was Albert Einstein. lol And the kid in the overalls I thought was Tom Sawyer.

  • if he asked me what kind of a fruit do i like i would say "you" , just to see what he will do

  • "The Damned Human Race" was an essay Mark Twain wrote where he compares humans to the rest of the animal kingdom. It's very short, only about 1 1/2 pages.

  • Man, this is the scariest interpretation of Satan I've ever seen.

  • @Slashbash This is how life is now, people dying from natural causes. "Natural" or so they say.

If you believe in God, he is no mr. nice guy.

God is Satan. Satan is God.

  • @TheTolonio interesting concept, and i say that as a christian

  • @TheTolonio Hmmm.

  • @Slashbash

It really is disturbing but as I see it, so very accurate in describing the real personality of the devil/Satan. Great (accurate) portrayal. Top job by writers and animators. Some of our deepest truths are bitter and scary but essential to confront.

  • @apol77lo Indeed. He doesn't look evil right away, just very weird. As such, he speaks in a weird, but charming and kind voice. The devil is very subtle that way.

  • @Slashbash

You're right! In fact, he presents himself as a king caring benevolent angel of light. But life of others means nothing to him. Just things to play with, just as it showed in the video.

  • @apol77lo Quite so. The worst kind of evil is the kind that can convince you it's good. And what better being to represent diabolical than El Diablo himself?

  • it must get tiring having to hold up your own face

  • im watching this high. now im scared..

  • the ginger is given an orange, and an orange chunk of clay

  • What's your name

    Satan...

Wasn't your name -supposed- to be Lucifer?! -_-

  • HAIL SATAN!

  • "Please come in children." 1:48 lol he's a pedo.

  • lol, of course the ginger has to fuck everything up and hand his friends' souls to the Devil, he does not have one himself :D

  • Mark Twain gave em all DMT.

  • i shat myself when injun joe showed up

  • "girls always fall for the apple trick"-satan

  • I love how obvious it is Mark Twain just doesn't give a fuck.

  • Soul-crushing existential terror - always good for a kids movie.

  • this wasnt a childrens show, it was a movie

  • COME ON! LET'S GO FOLLOW SATAN! WE'RE TOTAL FUCKING DUMBASSES!
