IF sheikh rabee said that, i respect his opinion because he he is from the scholars of ahl-sunnah, but sheikh luhaydaan is from the kibar ulema and sits on the committee of senior scholars, so he is a higher authority then sheikh rabee

The Syrians don't have the capability to over throw their gov which is one of the conditions of Jihaad.

In essence the uprising is baatil.

Yet who ever continues to protest than he is sinning.

Sheikh Rabee said that every one must stay in their own homes and lock the doors. If someone tries to break into your house or hurt your family than you can defend yourself.

I think of many example, one being the battle of mutah in the time of the prophet where 3000 muslims overcame 150000 of the Romans. 8:65 O Prophet (Muhammad)! Urge the believers to fight. If there are twenty steadfast persons amongst you, they will overcome two hundred, and if there be a hundred steadfast persons they will overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve, because they (the disbelievers) are people who do not understand.
