Comment to Ms121242: Thank you so much for your comment. I am so encouraged. I am finally confident enough to go into the studio. So let's stay prayerful. So you play sax as well - awesome. I will visit your page and listen. I am sure it is wonderful and I shall be inspired. My favorite chords are Em and Am. They are so me. But I am trying to add a little more happy notes like the A and D chords. But again, thank you.
I enjoyed you so much Ethel. I am a 68 year old African American female guitarist and saxophone player and an intermediate student at that. You truly inspired me with your great voice. I can hear that you have made a great song with the A and D chords. Keep pushing and let God lead you on to greatness. Such confidence and power. I LOVE IT!!! I accidentally found on YouTube this gospel site of African American female guitarists. I'm impressed.
Is it just one of dem days that i have to listen to this . . . again??? LOL
YOur voice is beaytiful and you look very nice. how about editing your video so it only plays once and maybe have two different videos because the 2nd time they shot it, they had different angles.
Wish I could edit. But someone else shot it from tv camera and I don't have the tools on my comp. to edit. But in the future, hopefully, when I get a little more professional. Check out the other vido "Free714".
You have a really nice headtone that is imbued with a lot of warmth. The song and the guitar playing need some work, but you have the vocal tools to be great. It is really just a matter of working to polish your style.
By the way, and you may get a kick out of this, I'm an atheist who likes this style of gospel music. So keep at it and you will go as far as you are willing to work at it.
I was so happy because this is the first video anyone ever did for me that was half way decent enough to upload. I know I have a ways to go (polish) before I'm considered professional. But I love to worship and yes I have plenty of songs I have written. You think they would like me in Nashville huh? Something to think about. Thank you much for your encouragement.
OMG! Ethel! I live 5 minutes from Trinity Music City here. They have their own recording studio. You would absolutely love it here! And the people you would meet. I used to talk with a lady at a gym that I used to frequent here - she wrote music and some big names bought her music. It's real easy to meet people in the business here because that is what Nashville is all about........MUSIC.....country and gospel especially. Have you ever been to the Opry? Or the Ryman? The Ryman was once a church.

**GIGGLES** Patting yourself on the back there, Ethel?
You sing great! Better acoustics and it would be perfect!
Have you written anymore songs? Maybe you need to move to Nashville and meet some people here?
