    thanks

  • Hi really nice work, well i have a question for you, i have this midi keyb since 2004 it never gave any problem, but now its giving me problems, mostly it stopped responding while playing or when am in a middle of a session , i tried different cables but didnt worked, i tried another computer and same problem exists, can you explain whats going wrong.

My DAW is samplitude and my soft synths are legacy collection M1 ,wavestation.

  • bad ass

  • very nice work...!

i don't know about 'reason 3', but u can use the FL Studio. n use ASIO drivers, u won't have that Delay in it... :)

  • Sirve en FL Studio?

  • listen to the keys clicks, they groove too

  • Comment removed

  • @BayanTheOne

    LMAO!!!! They do, indeed

  • I forgot to breathe while watching this! Amazing!

  • Sad! Not Realtime!!(What are you use PCsoft????)

  • hey! how are you? soinds good man. Question, when you did that, does it come out as an individual track on your pc software?

  • i see that this video is old as shit but dude i hope youve upgraded to a MPD already? Keyboards are meant for strokes not beat to shit, ivr fucked up springs in my keys doing that

  • awsome i do like it druming i have got my own m-audio 88 es

  • This kid is bad ass

  • where did u get those? and how often u change it? ...... 'ur hand'

  • All I can hear is the same cymbal being played about 20 times a second. >_>

  • deam

  • Can anybody tell me how to get my m-audio keystation 49e to trigger in pro tools 8 LE.... I tried everything and I'm new at Pro Tools. I'm using PC.

  • @CoolSean42 The board has to plugged in and powered up already, when you start the software.

  • @killbucket1 Thanks, but I actually figured out the problem a minute ago. I had the powered speakers running through the m box but I also had the usb cord running from the speakers into the pc. Duuhhh!!. I was cancelling out the midi controller. I guess the computer was just confused. Soon as I pulled the cord out it triggered, and I also got rid of this annoying humming. I'm still learning though!!

  • It's called an M-Audio Keyrig 49...Keystation is more than 49 Keys

  • im selling an M-Audio Keystation 49e on ebay atm nobody is bidding gonna go for £20!

  • do the keys have delay? so say im using a synth and im playing a fast progression. is it gonna be delayed from the keystation to the computer?

  • @XxXDevilRejectsXxX you can adjust the delay, it's pretty sweet.

  • @killbucket1 howw!

  • Comment removed

  • @killbucket1 Look up: Delay Compensation

  • @XxXDevilRejectsXxX File-preferences-audio tab. First choice is minimum delay, for content creation, second for mixing/producing.

  • cool

  • excellent performance!

  • Practical to do this?

  • @MyLarry1992 hahahahaha my thoughts exactly!

  • Excellent !!! Just ordered one half hour before reading this review. Pleased I made a good decision. Thanks.

  • I hope i dont end up buying his used M Audio Keyrig 49 as that lower octave will be fucked!!!!!!

  • that was sick bro!!! you just made me want to but that piece of equipment, I heard M-audio makes some real good stuff, nice video, and thanks for posting!

  • Hey sounds great....can you record the different drum sounds onto each key, so you can use the keyboard without the computer and say just have an amp or stereo hooked up and still be able to play the drum samples....

  • needs more cymbals.

  • I don't think you could add more cymbals to that if you tried. >_> Lighten up on that, for fuck's sake.

  • You should try the keyboard with superior drummer 2 dude.

  • Are you using the Keystudio with the Pro Tools M-Powered Essential software or with another music program? I have the same keyboard and I'm even considering getting the Fast Track and the Venom Synth.... Awesome vid by the way!

  • DAMN you've about got me sold. I was going to use that money towards a new amp.

I notice you've got very little if any latency. Is that simply because of USB interface?

Does it give you full duplex?

Will it work on Vista 64 bit? That's the biggest question.

    Nice Video!

  • @aynrandy1 Oh, one more question. Will it work with VSTi's hosted on PC programs, like Audio-Mulch or Acid.

  • @aynrandy1 Yes.

  • hella good man

  • PPEEASSSSE GET BACKK TO MEE ASAP!!! So im getting one for chrostmas and im working with shit FL studio and I have no keyboard but when i get one im getting reason 4. do you just plug this keyboard in with usb or do you have to have like a amp box ir whatever. PLleasseee reply

  • @RazZaiEDITs. It works right out of the box. Granted your computer will install the driver for the keystation. You will just 'select' your keystation as 'your controller' in the REASON PREFERENCES and it will work. If you have an external sound card it will help with your over all quality of sound from a technical perspective, using Reason just through the computer sound card sounds great on it's own. I just got me an M-Audio Fire-Wire 410 Sound card, it was a long time comming :)

  • @RazZaiEDITs. Continued...I am mentioning the sound card because I notices a great difference, after years of just using the sound card on the computer. If you would like to see some video's let me know. I have some unlisted Resaon 3 videos...I'll make some REASON 4 soon. (I have RECORD too)

  • @SILISPRO Damn man, very descriptive. thanks a ton! but im currently running my sound through a stereo. will that work?

  • @RazZaiEDITs. Oh, it will work.

  • I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find any demos of what the actual software that comes with this keyboard sounds like. Or is this is? Would be nice to hear the piano then.

  • @YearsBecomeDays. This "keyboard" is a controler for the editing program that you are using. This only came with an instalation disk. And I use it to control the sounds that come with my 'Reason' Software. This controler doesn't come with any instrument software of it's own.

  • Oh, that clears everything. Thanks

  • Does this keyboard feel cheap and plasticky or is it built good cus it looks really cheap but i want something that wil last a while? And is it good for the price?

  • that was awsome dud. Im getting mine delivered today...I cant wait...

  • wow

  • WAW

  • PRIMO!!!! ITS ME JOSH!!!!

    Dude thats sooo coool!!!

We should totally start a band lol!! im subbin

  • Nice hand work man...

  • WHAT RACK ARE YOU USING IN REASON???? IS IT REDRUM?? THE NN-XT?? WHAT???

  • are these drums on the Reason Drum Controller?

  • are there any other sounds, or is it just drums?

  • @flyyourkite95 There are hundreds of sounds in the program, You would have to chose which one sounds good etc. Like Piano, Bass, Strings, Synths...the keystation alone does not emit sound. it has no speakers. It's a controler for the sounds in the program u chose to use.

  • as you may hear, these MIDI controllers have delay, is there a way to remove this delay ?

  • @5245jah Yes there is a way to adjust the "latency" ratio in the software that U maybe using. REASON 3 recognizes this controler as one of the keystations compatible with it's use and has no delay. Most music programs have what is called "Preferences" located in the very bottom of the "Edit" drop down where the latency can be adjusted, it literally a little button that U can move from side to side. Once it is adjusted, it's saved 4U automatically. Getting an external sound card helps too.

  • @5245jah Dude, get ASIO4ALL for Windows. Solves all USB MIDI latency issues. ;)

  • @ylwsub68 ASIO4ALL is a terrible ASIO driver. Only use it if the only soundcard you have is motherboard integrated audio.

  • awsome drum work you display here. I have one of these keyboards myself. very fun to play with. can make just about anything your mind imagines with this thing. well worth the money to get. Keep on rocking those drums man. 5*/5

  • I must admit, this is pretty badass :)

  • HARDER TEST EVER¡¡¡

  • very cool

  • awesome !

  • Pretty sick manm I've got one of those keyboards on the way. Have you ever thought about or used a nanopad or the like for drumming?

  • @Zombbg4 Hmm Nanopad? That sound cool. I've not thought about it, no.

  • very good!

  • cule vaina la monda la has sabido vacila pelao!

  • Good videos Btw

  • Can u record those beats onto reason three in real time ?

  • does anyone know if there's a similar midi, usb keyboard but with weighted keys?

  • Depends on how much you want pay. :)

  • The M-Audio Keystation 61es has semi weighted keys and is about double the price of this, maybe even slightly less than double. I don't know of one that has professionally weighted keys though.

  • yeah but they cost heaps though cheapest with weighted keys cost about $400 AUD and up

  • damn creat work!

  • that was pretty sweet, I've just bought a used keystudio 25, at a pawn shop, but I cant figure out how to get it to work with magix samplitude music studio 14,any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

  • do the sounds and stuff like yur using come wiith the keyboard ??? and will diiz work good wiith fl studio 8 xxl

  • The sounds you hear are from the software the keystation controls. I was using Reason 3.

  • great dude, awsome, respect!

  • You must play grindcore!

  • He mate im really keen to know about this keyboard... are the keys weighted ?? Also my biggest question, does the USB bus have any delay like you can get with midi ?

    Thanks in advance!

  • The keys are weighted and there is no delay, but some programs that you use it with may require you to adjust the latency, aka delay from what you hear and what is actually played.

  • uhmm, the keyrig 49 keys are not weighted dude, these keyshave a softer feel to them wich means they are not weighted, piano keys for expample ARE weighted!!

  • They keys are NOT weighted btw. Not even semi-weighted. They are just your run of the mill standard midi keys. They ARE velocity sensitive though.

  • i agree with you man.

  • @farmertml Actually, the keys are not weighted, they´re velocity sensitive. And by Delay, i guess you mean Latency, it depends on your software and settings. I use this keyboard on Logic Sutdio and have no issues whatsoever. :-)

  • can anyone tell me what software to get?

  • Reason 4 :) ...if you're recording... reason works VERY well with Adobe Audition... ...i've always been fond of audition even back when it was cool edit (not much changed between switching labels haha)

  • That was awesome

  • krazy, sounds bad azz talented man keep it up!

  • any help on getting a drum set up on mine would be great. how do u select each key for each drum? manual only tells how to assign the volume/octave/wheel spots.

  • I'm needing to re-install reason in my computer soon. But when I do I'll let you know. It has a sound bank of about 30 different sound to chose from for each sound u need. Like, 30 snares, 30 bass drums ect. So I can build the set I like best.

  • is this compatible with windows vista?

  • yes it is now compatible with vista

  • No, A for Anbilivable! ^_^

  • this is an awsome m-aduio product..

i dont have this model i have the keyrig49

its pretty much the same thing and its great for the price!

  • amazing man 5*, thinking of getting one, how you conenct it to your laptop just via a USB? cheers

  • Yes. It's comes with a USB cable.

  • no! A is for AMAZING

  • Thinking about using my Best Buy discount to get this. lol Not sure yet, though.

  • A is for Awesom
