Spraying illustration base and pressing it lays down the nap and gives you a smooth surface on which to work. I order everything from Coast Airbrush.

Awsome job, interesting technique, I may try this method, I usually just spray straight on. Where can I buy some?

Prepped the shirt with Wicked Illustration Base. Sprayed until almost saturated and pressed with an iron using parchment paper. Used Wicked brand paint as well...black and white.
