hey guys, i have a small 10,2 inch laptop, 1,6 ghz, 1gig ram, etc. now i bought a 2 gig ram block, put it in, but my laptop still says that it has just 1 gig ram. even the bios just recognized 1 gig. does anyone know, how to make the laptop recognize the 2 gig ram? i'm not a expert (as you see), but i thought about a bios update, that's why i post the comment to this video. will a bios update fix the problem? thanks in advance

hi ,

first check the bus speed of your 2 GB & 1 GB ram (if both are same) .just upgrade the BIOS (download the firmware from the manufacture's website).

@9791011588 hey man, thanks! the bus speed of the 1gig ram block is 667 mhz, the bus speed of the 2 gig ram block is 800 mhz. dunno what the max bus speed supported by the mainboard is, but it recognizes the 2 gig ram block. the problem is just that it recognizes it as a 1 gig ram block. so a bios update will do? if yes, how do i do that? i downloaded the firmware, but what next?

3-Then . make a boot with floppy disk..with u new bios file with FlashBoot Utility ..then copy the bios name in a paper like

this is a example : AFUD412.EXE (Press Spacebar) A7376AMS.140 (Press enter to begin update process).

4- into the bios set start with floppy disk save the new configuration.

5- start ur pc in floppy disk mode with the new bios..

and then type the new bios name and enter...

BIOS is a previous version! and better! solves the problem of high temperature! v11.3 version is better than the v.114 .. is more stable!

yeah.....but this update is for a MSI K7N2 LSR socket A----ok-----... if u have vista o xp dosent matter..this update is just for better overclock...ok..

all this is in bios part...when u start the pc ...

just download it the new bios file..and the make a boot with usb..with the new biso file with FlashBoot. utility ..then start ur pc in usb mode with the new biso file...and then type the new bios name and enter...then follow the steps in the video
