Part 2 of my comment: I just watched this entire film and I must commend both actors for their performances. Huffman and Zegers definitely breathed life into their characters and adequately portrayed their tragic stories. Brilliantly executed!

i heard that there is a part of the brain that is generally longer or bigger in men than in women (not sure what part saw it in some documentery), and that they have found that in trangendered people e.g. someone born a man but identifies as a woman this part will be smaller more like a womans, so it literally seems that they have a female brain, but somehing went wrong and they developed a male body. unfortunaltey i think you can only find this part in an altopsy.

Bree is a transsexual because she believes that she is female, not a man wearing women's clothing. To be transsexual you do not have to have had a 'sex change' (genital surgery), you have to identify as a member of the oppersite sex to what you were born (IE a baby boy grows up to identify as a woman).
