I certainly don't disagree with the constitution of the United States. I disagree with right wing politics. That's not the same as disagreeing with the constitution. Each side believes itself to be upholders of the constitution as far as I can see.
I have stated before to other folk that I have the advantage/disadvantage of being informed by a different heritage and upbringing i.e.I'm from the UK. To me this gathering was as much about the Americana of it as the politics. Hope this makes sense.
Understood. I am not quite sure anymore what is considered "right wing". I will tell you that I believe in minimal government, low taxation, fiscal responsibility, strong defense, and I am pro life. If that fits the definition of "right wing" then I guess that is what I am. I think you may have plucked a couple of nuts out of the crowd. I am probably a little more main stream conservative.

I wrote a very long email in response to someone who was making assumptions about my video and the response was what i expected - they refused to read past my humourous comments.
Put it this way - there were a lot of comments about "the left" that day which made me feel very unwelcome - for a supposedly non-partisan gathering it struck me as rather partisan.
I don't think you should actually have to fear these people on a personal level. They seem to have had their passions aroused by a very dubious right-wing propaganda offensive. (I imagine this tea-party thing is an aspect of the republican party attempting to regain credibility after the Bush administration helped demonstrate that both leading parties are of of a questionable nature in regards to public welfare.) They have an idea they are being oppressed, but they suffer from stockholm syndrome
