Hitchens reminds me of one of those traveling evangelical preachers that used to go from town to town whipping up the faithful into a frenzy then relieving them of their money. Get well, soon.

"Atheism" has itinerant authors, academicians & orators who create the holy scriptures of non-belief. Symposiums, workshops, lectures, films, etc. bring together the congregants. Persecution complexes are born & raised amongst the put-upon who proclaim their disbelief pridefully. So far though, no intellectual "atheists" have sprung from the rank-&-file of the monkeyed brethren. Lower forms of Earthen life define atheism.
