I wish I could send the link to this song to my mother who has been dead for more than 30 years. She essentially raised her four children by herself, because our father worked against her every step of the way. The thing is, I don't think the song is literal. True as you say, if the water isn't frozen you'd pretty much need help from god to walk on it, so any way you look at it, common sense is ruled out by that as I can't recall last time I saw anyone walk on water.

@mermerchar I'm Beth powell im 13 and i have aspergers Syndrome . im Christian and i get bullied at school cos ime Christian an cos i have aspergers i did have friends but not menny now but i have a Christian friend called daisy here mum has crones and she's often upset so can u pray for her and i dont matter much but can you pray that the people that bully me realise what there doing wrong and that ime happy once be for im 18 and that my life gets better.(i dont know if u Christian)

The thing is, I don't think the song is literal. True as you say, if the water isn't frozen you'd pretty much need help from god to walk on it, so any way you look at it, common sense is ruled out by that as I can't recall last time I saw anyone walk on water.
I'm pretty sure the song is about what he feel he can achieve. And love makes you feel you can achieve anything at times.
Some drugs also do that.

Obviously, love to god is probably as good as love to any person, so in a manner of speaking, of course this song also can be about god, but love is love nevertheless and I myself prefer the love I can embrace and touch.
As long as nothing else is mentioned, I feel it safe to assume that the song is about love someone gives, you see what I'm trying to say?
