Thanks for this ... I thought I had the techniques figured out, but wanted some confirmation. This does just that ... thanks! Awesome, awesome, awesome job. Beautifully realized.
i bought twixtor because of this video...lol also i want to do my ow music vid like this but itll be less violent then this ..lol...great vid guys keep on rockin
@underbelly69 twixtor is great, could you tell me at what fps did you record? I still don't get it, sand was fast as possible but the hole recording was at the original speed?
Oooo!!! I've had a sneaky pre-listen to the new album and it's AMAZING! Easily my favourite Kiwi band of all time. The 5th Degree is in-store on Monday 11th October. Buy it and support great New Zealand music! These guys are bringing back hard hitting, guitar smacking, drum twatting, head rocking, brow sweating rock'n'roll to our airwaves! This is gonna be the soundtrack to our summer! Check out the first two singles as well - Want It, Need It and Breathe.
Singing parts were sung fast as possible then slowed down with twixtor keyframing corresponding mouth shapes.. Fighting was mock-slo-mo (counting snare hits) with exagerrated swings and impacts once we discovered they look the most kooky and uber violent when re-timed in twixtor.. No audio playback was used during shooting.. Took 4 days to devise and choreograph.. And 2 days to get the best take (last take with part of 2nd-to-last take spliced in! Yes there is a cut)

cool. i think the guys were lipsing on a fast sped track yet moving their bodies slow during shoot. thats how twixtor and speed ramps got the total effect.
