Its weighted if it has the extra rim at the bottom. Mako shakers are the best (imo) for flair. Lots of room for error for snatching tins and bottles. Thanks mango for the free instruction. Thats good karma!
Yep. I've seen it done with both weighted and unweighted tins, but most people I know - myself included - prefer weighted tins for just about everything. Check out my bar store if you need to pick some up;)
What? i'm pretty sure it's weighted... a weighted tin not only does it land differently... it soars differently too... in my case, i can split the tins, just cant stall it, but then again my tins are not weighted...
You should try the plastic slotted scoops from barproducts awesome!!!

Weighted tins are not expensive and in fact, they're better to practice than unweighted.
