  • @PHLYINGSOPHREEICANC Its an old family & southern favorite meal. Served at many mom & pop meat & three places for lunch

  • Making those cajun chops and gravy is sure to be filling. Also, as usual, you dont hold back on eating. LOL.. Or, are those plates you fixin for someone else? I love meat that's been simmered because it gives back the flavor especially when you have put some flavor on em.

    Southern Done Well!

  • This meal was soooo in my comfort zone..I'm going to go and have a cigarette after this one...

  • Hey JB, All that food looks delicious! I can almost smell it all the down here in Texas! Take Care!

  • YUM! we eat chops the same way in Canada except we usually throw in a can of sliced mushrooms, mmmm mmmm mmm that looks good boy!

  • At the rate you keep taking samples, it's a wonder anything makes it in the pot. Maintaining quality control is a tough job, ain't it? LOL

You're right about that plateful. It just don't get much better than that. Yum, Boy!

I've been getting collards fresh, and doing a lot of them lately. I go through phases...

  • One thing about using cornstarch, I find it useful to pull some stock out of what you are working with, place in bowl and add cornstarch to that, then mix then add back to pot. If you put the cornstarch directly into what your cooking, it could clump up and makes it harder to work with. Whatcha think JB?

  • @MIkeDeltaVictor I mix it with some cold water then pour it into the pot

  • If i messaged you would you give me this recipe?

  • @SugarSkullSmile This is a video of the recipe, I didn't add anything else except a little cornstarch mixed with water. About 1Tbsp to 1/2 cup of cold water, mix & dump it in

  • why do you rinse the meat?

  • @SugarSkullSmile To get the bone fragments off of them

  • Love ya

  • Jb You should look in to Pea meal bacon!!I started making them a year ago. It has A lot of the stuff you are in to.Start with a porkloin4# brine add sugar,Garlic!bay leaves, sage ,and Thyme.Brine in frig for four days. pull out of bag and roll in cornmeal. Smoke till internal temp. hits 160.Cut in to 1" slices plate or have on sandwich with mustard and a slice cheddar ! Thanks JB I would really like to see you do a vid.I would help you go over anything with you just drop me a line. Your FAN

  • Yum yum cept I never liked the taste or smell of collard greens. Can't stand smell of them cooking. Maybe there is a way to tighten them up but, I never tried ..same with kale. That pork and cornbread and taters i can nomz nomz on though......boy!

  • @aaadream Greens have a off smell while cooking. But they sure is good like I do em. They is good for you too.

  • @007bondjb i put a couple drops of vinegar and add hot links when they're almost done! mmm mmmm boy!

  • @joxman2k

Then just stay stupid then BOY!!!! B

  • JB boy you know you cook your ass off! That looks so good mmmmmmmmm. Now I made some pork chops for my family earlier this week, I did it the lazy mama way I cooked them in a bag, I marinated them over nigh and threw some onions in the bag with seasonings and some water with one of those oven bag cooking packets. I made some fried cabbage and rice to go with it. I like the way you smother without frying flour. Do you have a cafe or restaurant?

  • @queenofweaves916 No restaurant, I just like to cook & eat

  • Why would you bake Bacon? Why not just fry it?

This may sound stupid but what is Collard Greens? What I mean is what veggies is done in it?

When I cook Chops I either pour mushroom soup over it or Salsa sauce.

    ...and don't call me Boy!

    :)

    :P

  • @Joxman2k Baking it is easyer & make no mess on the stove, Greens are a southern thing. Google collards
