Yeah they still had SOME decent songs on there like Greatest Man Who Ever Lived or whatever its called, because they're Weezer and can't help but accidentally make good-ish shit, they're that good sometimes. But Ratitude and Red were lazy, meanigless pop music.

@8gerrard8 Rivers even said so himself that he was going to make meaningless pop music after PINKERTON, the album you didn't even mention or compare to Ratitude or Red. It was way too personal and flopped miserably so he took it personally. He figured ppl didn't wanna hear sincerity and instead made music that would sell. But Pinkerton was just ahead of its time, so now its re released and they are trying to be sincere again. THAT is why this is better than Ratitude and Red.

It's just like how in Run Over By A Truck he sings, "I used to likea learn how to speaka Chinese / O kudasai means 'Baby, would ya please?'" when clearly it's Japanese, not Chinese. Obviously Rivers would know that, seeing as how his wife is Japanese. So, whatevs. :P Of note, I did find a PubMed page referencing the "ocular motor nerve." Perhaps PubMed's just dumb, but Rivers is likely just messing around.
