The grass would be way easier to pull something on, as the grass/turf has a waaaay smaller coefficient of static friction than the pavement... The argument of "Well, the tires wouldn't get any grip on grass, so, pavement was better" is kind of ridiculous. Why? The Truck had to tow on a high friction surface (giving both the truck and blocks grip). However, Lynch still had grip on his low friction surface (using cleats on grass), while the object he was pulling was on a low friction surface.
