I think it would be a learning experience for you to take a trip to Europe. The churches are essentially empty. It's definitely not "the place where people go". If that truly was the appeal(which I doubt), religions will die rather quickly. People have a general distaste for associating with the spreading of lies and this will show in attendance numbers when the social cost of rejecting it comes down.
