  • am i the only one that doesn't see many colors in the affected area?

to me it's more like photoshop's "spatter" effect or something. Not multicolored though.

and sometimes it appears in many different spots blending with the non affected area giving you some kind of "light headed" feeling. and that something's messing with your brain :P

  • This is exactly what I've been looking for! I always try to explain to others what the migraine aura looks like! A few years ago I had my first migraine. All of a sudden I realized sparkling, spinning, multi-colored, diamond like things from the corner of my eye. I thought that maybe someone took a picture with the flash on and I didn't realize it. I was in high school at the time and had a test the next period. The aura started to cover all of my vision but I continued to take the test. After

  • So it was this afterall..

I thought my eyes got probs -___-

  • omg that is the worst i just had the aura a few minutes ago(felt like hrs ) that part went away now i just have a pounding headache :(

  • I am so glad I have this so I don't have to try to explain it to people.

  • i went two years without having one and then since the beging of october ive had about 6 X(

  • mine are more orange and blue

  • EXCISIONNNNN!!!! THE NEW MIX IS SO SICK!!!

  • might be bad advice but i just start drinking jack or tequila till i pas out. never had it happen early. lucky i guess.

  • Excision? What's thats? I think is a new drug !!! ;) haha

  • I had those. Did not know they had a name.. Have not had one since I quit sugar, coffee and anything with flour in it 5 months ago.

  • @present10s Ah, you know that makes sense! I had one of these after I spent the whole day eating NOTHING but bread and chocolate biscuits (and staring into my computer screen).

  • Comment removed

  • mine just blur and shake a lot

  • Excision has these too? He's lucky he doesn't get them frequently

The headache part is a lot worse than the eye part

  • yeahh he posted on facebook so i put it wtf is this

  • SHAMBHALAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • Shambhala CMON

  • Excision sent me. kbye.

  • @HelloImStanky normal people are gonna be like, "what's an excision?" haha

  • @HelloImStanky SAMEEEE

  • thank you for posting this I had this happen and I couldnt explain to my husband what I had seen. It wasnt painful but I did end up with some shoulder pain later. freaked me out kinda..

  • I get an aura like this, usually accompanied by a blind spot near the center of my vision. Then the aura fades and I get nausea, a splitting headache, the shakes, chills, the sweats, and I get super pale. A lack of protein is usually what triggers it, so I drink a glass of whole milk and take a nap. Wake up almost perfectly fine. Have to deal with the 'migraine hangover' for about four days afterwards, but that's nothing compared to the actual migraine.

  • Mine one last about 25-35 minutes...Start on the middle, then move to the left and downwards,at the same time getting bigger like the one on video. At the end it kind of a ...flashing...and then dissapear...I'm still trying to find out what's triggers it...Last symptoms I had was 15 years ago but it started again february, this year...

  • This seems pretty accurate to what an aura migrane looks like, i've only ever had one of those, normally i get either blind spots or a numbness in one arm

  • Mine are like this but less color and there isn't a line where the aura ends and vision begins its more jagged. Ha just looking at this give me the shakes tho

  • @wassupdoc319 oh same here

  • Mine are like this except they spread upwards as well as out. I've actually had once where I could only see out of a small section of my vision, it was quite scary. After about 25mins of seeing that I get a pounding migraine, usually have to take 2 advil and have a nap. How often do you have this happen? I get them anywhere from once a month to once every 3 months.

  • I get these, but my aura of flashing lights is much thinner and sharper, and the lights themselves are short, straight lines, pulsating, with sharp angles separating them. In other words, they are a series of zigzags.

And THANK JEEBUS I get no pain from them, during or after.

  • This is the best description of and Aura.... It's almost just like that for real.... I"ve been getting those bastards for almost 30 years and there debilitating...

  • Am I a hypochondriac if I think I have increased ICP with a Brain Tumor when in fact I just get scintillating scotoma with a migraine?

  • mine are much more geometric in shape in teh aura, and tend to be on the right side of my my right eye's field of vision. Also, the colors are always orange, robin's egg blue, black and white...I never lose any vision, or get a headache with them. At least I know what they are now - first time it triggered a panic attack because I thought I was having a stroke.

  • The first time I had a visual aura I thought it was an LSD ''flashback'' as the colours and scintillations were so similar-but now I know it was a migraine, as a headache followed [as a kid I was often laid low with sick headaches] my aura is very bright and zigzaggy and starts as a tiny dazzle no bigger than a pinhead, but rapidly grows, and is seen even in dreams-Last week I awoke with one-take painkillers at once, to avoud a severe megrim, -once the bugger has got hold, nothing will shift it.

  • Okay, i've been getting migraines since I was 8 (i'm 20 now) and most of them start like this- aura, fading in 30 minutes, followed by the headache, nausea, and on a bad day numbness and pins & needles in my right or left side and failure to remember or communicate simple words. However, my migraines sometimes start with my hands. I can't exactly explain it, my vision seems fine, but my hand doesn't look like my hand (as in, not connected to my body). Anyone else get this?

  • Hi, yes I experience the same symptoms, except mine last exactly 30 minutes, then the whole left side of my body goes numb followed by pins and needles, then I can't speak or pronounce my words properly. Then the vomiting starts followed by a head ach which can last up2 4 days. Can anyone tell me if this is common? The only meds that prevent these from occurring is inderal. Which has importancy side effects. If anyone has any advice let me know. Thanks

  • @adzlovelee I get the exact same type. It's awful. It actually becomes this bain of your existance. I have no triggers for mine, they come without warning. I suppose by now you've figured out whether or ot you get triggers. I'm on endep at the moment. It was used as an anti-depresant in the 50's and is the only thing that helps. i'll basically be taking it once a night for the rest of my life

  • I get these blurs (with less colours) as well, but I have a silent migraine (no headache). So I was really confused about what this was for a long time.

  • dont go into the light

  • Mine begin small, getting bigger over 15-20 minutes and eventually fading, then a migraine occurs. The migraine is accompanied with fatigue and quesiness and usually vomiting. I get them in clusters over a week or two. Usually 4-7 in a cluster, then none for another 3-4 months. I started getting them at 16 and I'm now 25. I hate them.

  • with me, after it goes to the corner and disappears, I get the headache then nausia, then right after I vomit, I feel like a new man. WTF. I cant really determine if its food or strees(in the military).

  • @L30NHART Yes, when I was a kid, I would puke and feel better almost at once-probably your migraines are stress related, and it would be horrible to be in a battle situation and suffering a migraine-they are really vile.

  • I watched this a few too many times and gave myself a migraine :|

  • Mine is zigzag. And in RGB colour.

  • when it happens you cant see left side one time it happens when ım crossing street I cant see incoming car it almost crashed me

  • That's a pretty good depiction, especially how it starts small and gradually expands outward. That's how mine usually go, although the colors aren't nearly as bright for me. They're more translucent and sort of holographic looking. I just had one of these today. It lasted about twenty minutes, and now my head aches, but not all that bad. Not that I'm complaining!

  • Comment removed

  • I'm pretty sure I experienced one of these ocular migraines a couple days ago. Everything was black star shapes in a grid pattern and also had a shimmering holographic look. But my ears started to ring at the same time. It was like I stood up too fast and was about to pass out. I was just laying down the whole time though. Anyone ever had the ringing in the ears?

  • Mine is similar but sometimes a reverse C or rarely a straight line. No colors just disrupts vision. Gone in about 20 minutes. No nausea or dizziness although I get positional vertigo (BPPV) around the same time.

  • Gosh I hate this whenever the aura appears! I also feel dizzy + nausea when I see the lights. I get anxious cause I know it's gonna be another round of severe pain TT mine is like zigzag pattern like a rainbow but less in color than this vid. I never used any meds just prayers. never had this again for 2 1/2 years until 4 days ago. I hate classical migraine common migraine is less alarming and less painful. Migraine phobia LOL

  • oh, wow! that's the best video for aura I've ever seen! I never had the pain afterwards so it's just the annoying scotoma for me. at least you guys knew almost from the very begining that this was an aura! I thought I was having a stroke!

    ...and I still do, sometimes.

  • I mostly get flashy multicoloured zigzags or white pulsing dots. I once had 80% loss of sight because of an aura. Total blackness! The worst part was that I was cycling at the time o_0 ... I have no recollection of how I got home!

  • @RobinRose Yikes... I know what you mean. I was driving the first time I had one. I had to pull over and wait until stopped. It really freaked me out.

  • Exactly the same as my aura's. Only mine are 'white' and don't have colors in them.

  • this happened to me a few years ago, no headache.. it was quite frightening to say the least. this video is very close to that experience.

  • i have also migraine with aura, the influence is so evidence in fist half in hour :/

  • This is almost exactly how my auras look like, although the duration is a bit faster for me, maybe 25 minutes from the first flickering "pixels" to that the "arc" disappears in the corner. I have migraines a couple of times a year, haven't had any for over six months now, but I'm often anxious for it - you know misinterpreting normal flashes in my vision as migraine aura.

  • For years I just endured the horrible pain without any proper medication, or ordinary painkillers that never worked. I tried some prescription triptan medicine once but the side effects were so unpleasant that I never took one of those again. Then I found Eezeneo which is a prescription-free medicine here in Sweden. The active ingredient is diclofenac-potassium and it has made a great difference for me! I'm not that scared of migraine as before, since I know the pain will be less severe. :)

  • This happens to me every 6 months or so, but I never actually GET the migraine. One time I was playing some video games with my friends and one of these started. Although lights became very sensitive to my eyes, the aura came and went within about 25 minutes. Played through it like a champ. Once it was gone I was 100% again. Mine are always colorful like this too.

  • Mine Isnt a C It completely covers up my field of vision. I have the rarest form of it, Were I lose verbal function and I lose my motor abilities in half of my body.

  • @readthisname1 dude that sucks i know how to help it, it happens to me.I promise you this will help.As soon as you notice it coming on stand up take deep breaths , grab a cup of cold water and sprinkle yourself with your shirt off, and drink some and keep repeating. if the eye flashes start getting worse or your hands start to lock up put them somewhere warm. if this doesnt help laydown on some blankets and hope fpr the best

  • @readthisname1 Same. It's horrible! It feels like whatever side of my body it's happening on is working on its own without my telling it what to do.

  • im about 30 minutes in right now and soon it will go away and extrme head pain will replace it

  • After talking to my family tonight, found out there are 6 of us with scintillating scotoma.

  • I had that today!! It's like looking thru a crystal with flashing rainbow lights! Thanks for posting this. I'm use to them, I get them now and then.

  • I have this aura thingy when i stand up in the morning from bed.

  • Strange, i have had a few cases of these in my life but never felt any different other than seeing this thing obscuring my view for about five minutes.

Fortunately i never get them anymore ;)

  • This is pretty much almost exactly what I'd see when I was a small child (more visible when I'd have my eyelids shut) before I'd have a bad headache/nausea--I know now this was a migraine aura (was FINALLY diagnosed as a migraneur in my thirties when the migraines got much worse).

  • This makes me physically sick watching it because I know what happens next.

  • @MrCrabJuice I'm with you on that!

I woke up with a tail-end of a migraine today, just the pain, fortunately i didn't have to experience the goddamn aura! >:[

  • Amazing. I've tried to explain to people what I see while having an "attack", without much luck. This is it exactly!

  • Very close depiction to what I see while experiencing scintillating scotoma, except for mine only consists of sparkly black and white crystals. Sometimes they form the shape seen here and other times I see more of a circle all the way around. I usually do not get a headache, but do feel mentally dull afterwards. Been going on for almost 40 years. I suspect rainy days are triggers, but not sure.

  • Same here! Sometimes the shape it grows into is different and can last different amounts of time, but the static-y, TV snow kind of sensation is how I try to describe it to people. Thanks!

  • i hv a prob of abnormal palpation near temporal artery and i can feel it al the time and i am so irritated i dont nw wat is it .............. plz help me if any body nowz abut it.... doctorz still investigating it !!!!!!!!

  • i hv a prob of abnormal palpation near temporal artery and i can feel it al the time and i am so irritated i dont nw wat is it .............. plz help me if any body nowz abut it.... doctorz still investigating it

  • Mine are that color, at least very close. It's spectral and white, sparkling spots, blobs or zigzags. They flash or move about like spots on old films. I don't get a giant blob that gets close though. My spots are much smaller, they barely take up much space in my field of vision, nor do they last that long.

  • I see zig zag colorful line. After it passes over my left eye, headache starts & then I vomit 2-3 time, I get photo-phobia as well as phono-phobia and I go in on room in complete darkness till my attack is over. I really get scared of even thinking about it. Recently I have discovered the one of the reasons is any food which contains mayonnaise. It might sound weird but is true.

  • I just experienced this for the first time today and it scared me to the point where I contacted my eye doctor for advise. I have a family history of stroke so it feels good to know this might be all it was. Thank you for showing this, it helps! :)

  • It's like mine, only the jags/zigzags are missing there compared to mine.

  • I've had 3, all the same. Similar to this in size, shape, and timing but on the right side. Mine have black lines moving through it and red at the top with blue at the bottom. No headache or other impairment, I was driving during the last one and pulled over but didn't feel I needed to.

  • I have suffered with migraine's all my life.... I now take Magnesium Citrate daily... 200mg in the morning with breakfast, 200mg at night with dinner.... not had one FOR A YEAR !!! I HIGHLY recommend trying it

  • mine is on the right side and with just a less bit colour

  • I had an aural migraine once when I was little but I would see colourfull flashing circles starting from my center of view and expanding outward. this along intense photophobia, headache and otitis made up for a day in hell. i can't imagine being a chronic sufferer :S

  • That was cool. I'm at the ten minute mark. Ooh, pretty colors. I get them when there is a change in the barometric pressure.

  • I used to get these all the time. They were extremely scary and made me nauseous. I don't seem to get them anymore, or at least not nearly as regularly. I am still always afraid of getting them when I'm driving or taking important tests.

  • thats not close

  • i had experienced this since i was a child - and i keep wondering what is it - it seems bizarre to me until technology brought internet and i come to search for it (instead of telling my family about it and make them worry) and i learned it is a migraine with aura or could be silent migraine that i am suffering from.

  • OMG. This is the first time I've ever noticed having this happen. I was watching a movie (Brewster's Millions) when I suddenly realized I couldn't see one of the four characters on the screen. It was like that part of the screen was dissolved in shimmering light. Peripheral vision looked like a ceiling fan was throwing shadows around the edges, too. I stopped the movie and described it to my wife. It's like a shimmery rainbow unicorn crescent blind spot! No headache followed, though... yet.

  • Thats exactly how it looks when I get one. Starts off in the center and gradually gets bigged. After 30-40 mins feeling half blind I get a massive headache which lasts for a day or two. Damn annoying aswell. I thought something was extremely wrong when I got my first one....

  • i freaking hate migranes. this is exactly what happens to me. and it always on days that something good happens. it pisses me off.

  • I used to get the common form of migrain headaches alot when I was a kid. However, a few times, I get this classic migrain which started off as a blindspot just off the central vision, folowed by an arc that goes out from my centeral vision.

To me, classic forms of migrains, although they rarely occur to me, are actually not as bad as the nasty common ones that have pain and that you get nausea and vomiting.

  • @JDonahue79 Wow, I really agree with what you experience-the Aura migraines tend to be ''less'' severe IF [IF] you take painkillers at the first sign-the horrid sick headaches, the pounding thribbing pukey ones are just awful. But in my experience, these do not start with an aura-you wake up with them..ugh!

  • I had one the other day. During my Migrane my girlfriend heated up an herbal eye pack and gave it to me. She said, this smells funny but try it, it might help. It was after I was suffering for 20mins or so, but when I put it over my eyes... the pattern shifted away from my vision. My vision slowly came back. *** The heat pack is available at like Bed Bath & beyond. You heat it in the microwave for a few seconds. I recommend trying it. Something to do with the heat really helped me. Hope it helps

  • I get this some times then I get sick and throw up. But it usually last about 30 minutes to an hour. Than I'm fine

  • Mine are more colorless? Also things seem more floaty?

  • @summiebee Yeah, I've never had the weird rainbow colors either >_> Mine are usually just like...flashing lights and rippling effects in the center of my field of vision...it's really creepy >.<

  • I had one like this at the end of my junior year of high school (about 3 years ago). The curve was thinner, fuzzier (like a child's attempt at drawing a monster), and longer, and scintillating with retinal-burn purple. The spot started near the blind spots of both eyes. It was disturbing yet intriguing (@dpaul420), and later, painful. I was damn near temporarily blind for the rest of the day. I walked home in 100+ degree heat. Lucky I've only had two.

    Thanks for posting this.

  • Wow! this happens to me also! One stupid doctor said I had MS when I told him I see this, but when I had the tests, the specialist said it was a blind painless migraine. I much prefer this migraine to the painful ones. Although its scarey when you cant see.

  • @habibiyaeini3 even more scary when you cant see and are in so much pain you cant stand -_-"

  • After many months ( I think more than a year) I got this again. Made my first test today for this year. After 10 min. I coudnt read the text anymore. Went home in panic... Luckely my symptoms almost fit perfectly with what I read on the net. Luckely...

  • I kinda get the same thing. Actually sometimes, I get this kind of spinning aura that starts of the middle of my line of sight. Usually it's a black dot, but then it starts to spread and eventually all of my peripheral vision is gone and I have this spinning ring. The weird thing is, though, I don't get the actually headache pains until after the aura subsides. Anyone have similar symptoms?

  • WTF I'VE NEVER SEEN THIS STUFF!

  • Mine are on the other side

  • I know I have a migraine when I can see my hands, but not my arms. It's so odd.

  • Exactly what happens to me, But only after exercise for some reason...

  • Your video is the closest thing I have seen to what I experience, except mine starts almost dead center and then the backward "C" shaped kaleidoscope spreads radiating to the right side. Never pain, just irritation at not being able to see well. I've had these for about 10 years, once every couple months. Anyone out there know if it's going to get any worse?

  • @trimmy675 My migraines seem similar to what yours are. Only I don't have a "C" shaped aura, I have an "O" shape that goes all the way around my peripheral vision.

  • I don't get any pain, never did. But I do sometimes see the cresent shape and always see the colors.I also get blurred vision.

  • i see stars all over my sight before it happens.. when i have it my eyes burn of light and sometimes body parts disfunction. My family puts me in bed as soon as i see stars because they know its heavy lifting when i cant walk.

  • wooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!! That is 100% ecactly identical to what just happened with me. It's weird because my headache moved from the front of my head around one eye up to my forehead then to the top of my head in almost the same time frame as the aura did. Thats crazy!

  • @littleprettyone1895 Yea me too, im having one right now, just took a Magnesium pill. Magnesium helps A LOT. Its a pill but it isnt a medicine, its an element like Iron or omega 3. take it once a day and your migraines will reduce to about 1 every 2-3 months depending on how frequent you get them. i take magnesium and go lay in bed until or goes awway or i fall asleep. The medicine, Imitrex is suppose to help a lot. I've never actaully tried it. im gonna try to get some.

  • This just happened a couple minutes ago. It lasted about 15 minues. I was seeing all these color (more neon) but they were spinning around like kaleidoscope and the background looked like I was seeing through steam! When I closed my eyes I would still see the colors. So weird!

  • @ScaperSteph Yea me too, im having one right now, just took a Magnesium pill. • I had this for the first time maybe 2 months ago. Ended up running to the hospital (literally - it's not all that far away from my apartment) thinking there was something seriously wrong.

This is pretty much what I saw, but my aura became almost a circle around my viewing area, so it was like looking through a tunnel. No pain from a headache, though.

  • @Umbers35 Yea me too, im having one right now, just took a Magnesium pill. • this is the closest to mine that i ever found! it just has more zig zag lines in it ;)

  • @muchtoocrazy Yea me too, im having one right now, just took a Magnesium pill. • just watching this makes me sick, wtf causes these?? i had my first one today in over 3 years for no apparent reason

  • @Griffo515 it has most probably the same reason as the migraines ;)

  • That is exactly what mine are like.

  • Had this happen when I was working as a bank teller. Sort of awkward to have to ask my supervisor to read some of the checks to me XD

  • Huh. I've never had a full stoma aura like this before. I've had a thick bar in the vague left of my vision filled with zigzag black lines (like caution pattarns, only black and vibrating) and I've had... well, I guess it'd be like an LSD trip where the pleasant pattern on the pillowcase I was staring at began to jump and become super-vivid. This is an awesome video by the way, sorry to know you have these too...

  • This was the closest to mine that I just had 10 minutes ago. The crazy patterns and colors intrigued me, but the loss of vision because of the blind spots that it created was unnerving, and hard to get any work done!

  • @dpaul420

  • OMG I GET THIS TOO SO FUCKIN SCARY I THOUGHT I WAS GOIN BLIND :( I WANNA CRY

  • i have it to for like 35 minutes and then the headache for an hour or sometimes 2-3 days , i get it like in periodes like about 10 times in three months and then three months without and then again three months with the migraine , only ones i got migrane where my food started felling like it was a sleep and then it dissapered and whent to my hand and then my neck and then my tounge and then i got det spot on my eye

  • Gee, I don't see those flashing colors. I get blind patches were you can't see anything at the corner of your eyes, or dead ahead of you. Their basically like white patches of light. The pain hits about 30 minutes later. I've currently been dealing with one for the past 4 hours. Its my first migraine in about 6 months. Obviously, I'm feeling better because I'm able to sit in front of my computer screen lol.

  • I had two of these yesterday, first in my right eye and then the second one started in my left eye, it still hurts. I always get them if I do something very intensive and haven't eaten enough.

  • when i have this i cant read any words for shit

  • I get these too, blah!!

  • i get this for like a hour then horrible pain and sometimes i throw up ive had 4 this week after going about 6 months without any

  • omg. I have it too just less color. like a rainbow lightning effect with blinking. First I see a white spot and then it turns like this. This is the most sickening feeling . There is also the nausea and vomiting effect luckily my migraine didn't recurr for 2 years now. My cure?.. Prayer Ü

  • First the Aura, then the headache... feel like im die in that moment..

  • Yep, that's it! Except they can be any shape, not always a crescent. This is the best vid to show people what it looks like. Add a little lightning in there and you have it!

  • yep thats it! thanks for making this, its so hard to explain to someone when they have never experienced it.

  • thats kind of what it looks like. I had another one last night after 6 monthsof nothing. I'd spent the weekend moving house so i think tiredness/exhaustion has a lot do with visual aura.

  • I have had three and each was shimmering and less brilliant in color but there was a rainbow effect ti them. i did not get any headache at all, What seems to stop it in it's tracks is gulping a glass of ice water. That worked for me each time and the time I didn't have access to ice water, I had to drive 30 miles to the next rest area to get water and it was frughtening.

  • i has that... just like that! thank you for uploading now i can make my teachers believe me..

  • Had it once in my life, scared the hell out of me..I was only 10 years old

  • Last time i had them i kept seeing black like blurs in different parts of my view...then i felt light headed...then i had a extreme headache...im 14 and really hate this too...i also vomited twice..

  • I have it, it's terrible, and I hate it!!! the first time I had it I thought that I was going blind too, it was freaking scary :/ I'm having this aura a lot of times since 2008, is really horrible to have it... :(

  • this is probably the closest example to what I see. just not as colorful and a little more transparent. I've had them for two years. the first time i had one i thought i was going blind. lol.

  • i've had these off and on for 10 years. this is a perfect example of what i have, even the same orientation (at the least one i'm currenlty having), except mine are a little thinner (same arc length though). alcohol and a high caffeine drink are major triggers for me. sometimes, stress as well. as for the orientation of it (what direction the arc points) i mentioned before, i'm gonna pay attention to that the next time.

  • Sweet im 13 and im not alone!

  • Me too!

  • GOD i'm feeling sick now D:

  • me too

    i hate them

  • I get them every couple of days for around 2 weeks every 2 -3 years. They only happen in the winter months late morning/early afternoon. I think they must triggered by weather change or atmospheric pressure. I hate them!!!

  • Its funny cause I cant think of any time I have ever gotten them other than the afternoon, and it seems always to be on a sunny day.

  • I just had one earlier today, I also feel weird afterwards. I don't like to take meds so I am reading up on food additives and food sensitivities, it looks hopeful. It's nice to know that there are others who understand these things because it's hard trying to describe them to people... I start to think I'm just crazy.

  • I had the crescent this morning, had a full circle about 7 years ago. They have a sparkling prismatic look Glad to hear I am not the only one that see this stuff either.

  • I get something like this before my period and I become really sensitive to smells. Is thi normal? Hope that's not a case of TMI!

  • People need to keep in mind that not all Aura Migraines look the same. When I get them it starts out with a black blindspot blocking the center of my view so i can't read or concentrate on anything, then it gradually gets larger until I black out, and wake up covered completely in sweat.

  • I'm currently experiencing one right now. Have had them since i was about 9 or so. Since i am at the computer, on a whim, i thought i'd search to see if anyone else had ever tried to create an animated visual represntation of one. This one comes pretty close.

  • i get one every monday, please tell me how to make it stop.

  • I used to get these when I was 12-14. Always prior to a migraine. Very similar to this but there was no colour and it shifted around my vision field instead of growing from one place. I'm 18 now... haven't had one since. Maybe it was hormonal based because of puberty? I don't really know... but I am thankful to know that this is very common and not too serious...

  • This is exscally what i see i feel so much better knowing im not the only one

  • I must be weird or something because everybody says that those moon things are what they see, well... they look like a whole bunch of snakes and then wriggle across my vision.... it sucks...

  • Thats exactly what I'm getting right now, it sucks...

  • ive had one of these but it lasted bout 10 mins, it freaked me out bad

  • This is what happens to me. Well done! My crescents are thinner and thankfully less distracting, but the placement, orientation, and apparent color/texture is spot on. I find that these are triggered by exercise though occasionally will just pop up out of nowhere.

  • @pstonelake - yep, mine too. exact same as this is except thinner (same arc length). lasts about 30-45 mins each time.

  • I think this video describes it very well, been having these since i was 14 or so. Remember i got afraid the first times, seeing these and getting sick... Now, 20 years later, i still have them but just about twice a month (i got 6-7 pr month when i was 15). Nice vid and merry christmas!

  • A my me pasa :)

  • I get migraine too, but i don`t have auras. 2 days ago I had something like that, in the left side, like bubbles but without colors (only for a few seconds) and then I felt strange. I had no headache until the next day, all the day =/, but I guess that's because I slept and then slept too much... I don't know WTF was that... only was horrible

  • i get migraines very rarely, mabey one every few months and i always get auras before i do. mine dont look like this, mine are small patches of light that block out parts of my vision. if i try to watch tv, i can only see half of the picture. but im fortuate to get them since i can scramble for some medicine before the real pain hits

  • I always gets it on the right

  • mine is on the right, too...I've been getting these since I was 11. I'm 22. Medication helps, but it never goes away...

  • its started on me when i was like 12 years old i had it like 4 years. So i was 2 years migraine free and today i got it again! :(

  • Yeh taht happened me aswell i thought i was free! i got one then a few months bak!

  • every 3-4 weeks i get it. it really hard

  • I have something like that, but its EVERYWHERE, and it only happens when I stand up after lying down for a long time, not when i get a headache.

    Anyone know what this means?

  • I heard that you have to do sport. Give me your email and i give you some tips please and i have the same
