Oh, and I'm getting an error saying: "Error in .\dc\mem\sb.cpp:sb_WriteMem:423 -> Write to System Control Regs, not implented , add=5f78b8,data=0" idk what it is...
Make sure you have a good copy of Ecco (which must be in .CDI or .GDI format), and also make sure you installed all the prerequisites for running NullDC. In addition, make sure you're using the latest version of NullDC.
@sonicfreak94 I got a good copy of it, but when I play it the graphics look...well, like I can't see a wall from faraway unless I get really close to it, and the background is all black and I can see sharks in beginning of the game (the first level, but they can't attack me cause they are far away. Anyway how to make the graphics more better and enhanced?
If you can't see walls and there isn't any fog, then you probably have an outdated version of NullDC. Search for NullDC on Google and click the Google Code page (code . google . com/p/nulldc/). Download the Visual C++ 2010 and DirectX 9c Runtimes, install those, and then the latest version should work (which you can download from that page on the left-hand side; "nullDC_104_r50.7z"). If you DO have the latest version however... well, I don't know what to tell you O_o
@sonicfreak94 ok, well when I downloaded visual C++ 2010 it asked me to repair or remove, so i just clicked repair (assuming i already have it). When i got directx it said i already had it. So when I get nullDC do I need certain bios to run it?
Dreamcast BIOS, yes. But you seem to have it, because you absolutely cannot run a game without it in NullDC. If it crashes when you load a file, then it may have to do with the VMU plugin(s) you're using. I'm using "nullDC VMU" specifically, so try that one if you're not using it currently. Otherwise, try changing the controller plugin as well. If that doesn't help, you'll have to bring it up on the NullDC forum (which you can get to from their Google Code page).
@sonicfreak94 Thanks for all your help! I ended up getting it to work, graphics n everything. works great, thanks! subbed and liked (not sure if it matters :P)
Oh, and what I did with nullDC_104_r50.7z is I just put it in my original NullDC folder (overwrite when prompted), and tried to run ecco. It ran, but when I selected my file, it crashed and closed itself. When I tried making a new save file, it loaded the first level (aquamarine bay), and just restarted the emulator (and this is the version of ecco that worked with my earlier version of nullDC)
It all depends on what your problem is. As long as I've been using NullDC, Ecco has always worked. You'll have to tell me what your problem is exactly.
@sonicfreak94 Well, when I try playing it, it takes me to start menu (Play, music, settings, and file), and when I click play, it looks as if its gonna play the game cause the screen fades black, but it actually restarts the whole emulator. Do you think you can figure out why its doing this, or can you put up a download with the ecco game you have and, possible if i need, the whole folder(s) you keep nullDC in, just in case I got wrong bios or something..? Thanks for reply!!
If I remember right, the next level is probably the longest in the game. Well, to me at least. Also the hardest. What with those stupid invisible things you pass through in the little canyons part.
Indeed it does. Another game of comparable detail is Dead or Alive 2 for the Dreamcast. I would also say Shenmue, but I haven't played much of it to be quite honest, lol

@Conker8u
It's actually quite short... the first time. You end up there twice. =P

Hated this boss. My game always tended to bug out and the tentacles either wouldn't die or would come back a few seconds after being killed.
