Heh. Not intentional, but we wanted to progress from knives to guns to explosives and Vernon was by far the best knife fighter of the cast. Wayne had thrown his back out and could barely fight that day so we had to kill him quick, and Carl had the biggest body so we were saving him for the final explosion because he would hold more blood.
