  • I saw Luigi!

  • @xBeautifulxYashax Americans aren't Irish either, why do they celebrate Saint Patrick's day?

  • @Sexxonable many of Americans are of Irish decent. Not many Japanese people can make that same boast.

  • @caligulaincarnate You don't have to be of Irish decent to celebrate a secular holiday. Many countries around the world celebrate that day differently without having any type association to Ireland or the Irish culture.

  • @Sexxonable I know that, but you asked why Americans celebrate St. Patrick's day, so I gave you a fact. I myself am half Irish.

  • @caligulaincarnate The majority Americans are not from Irish decent, so I used it as an example. A generalization is not a fact, it is a theory.

  • @Sexxonable I see how your example fails, because there are Irish people, and people of Irish decent in America, more so than in Japan. Where did I generalize?

  • @caligulaincarnate I example does not fail since most of the Americans are not of Irish decent and most do celebrate St. Patrick's day. You fail for not understanding such a basic example.

You generalized the amount of Japanese that have Irish ancestors against the amount of Americans with Irish ancestors, thus not being fact.

  • @Sexxonable No I don't generalize that, I never said NO Japanese people have Ireland running through their blood, I'm saying MORE AMERICANS do than Japanese folk. That's NOT genralization, that's a fact. Look it up. And look up what generalization means too. Yes your point still fails. I never ONCE said you had to be of Irish decent to celebrate St. Patty's. I just gave a you FACT WHY Americans DO celebrate St. Patty's. I'm sorry if you can't understand "such a basic" fact.

  • @Sexxonable I'm not saying your point is completely wrong, it just fails when you a country that does have Irish people, and people of Irish decent living there. It's like asking why Americans celebrate Christmas, even though Amerca is not a Christian nation. If you used a different country, maybe your example would make more sense.

  • Tell your dad these:

barr na maidine duit : top of the morning to ya

Is aoibhinn liom é anseo sa tSeapáin : I love it here in japan

  • Guys do a lot of japenese people are racist?

  • @nerex

There are racists everywhere, but I wouldn't say a lot in Japan, you may experience some people staring at you if you visit Japan, but that's more out of curiosity, I think.

  • the foreign population is still very small in comparison to most developed nations.

  • wtf r u talking about, have you taken a good look at Asia? its the largest population in the world and they are not developed.

  • I never said Asia, I was talking about Japan, they have a very small immigrant population. It's a serious problem as they have a large elderly population who are a drain on resources especially with a dwindling young workforce. Most developed nations such as countries in the EU and the US have large immigrant populations which provide a significant proportion of the work force. Foreign workers are essential (alot of racists do not seem to realise that)

  • Great Video, Tom. St. Patty's Day looks like a lot of fun in Japan

  • Good to see you guys in the vid! I miss the festivities--and the music. Great song--be well

  • As a Irish man i still cant understand how the world celebrate this country.People wearing Irish flags and etc.

all in all you never hear of norway day or spain day.

just only Ireland get a day lol.

  • Because they don't know how to party like the Irish, therefore they don't deserve their own day.

  • why does the japanese people wear medical masks

  • cause they don't wanna get sick from swine flu or any other diseases... obvious answer right there.

  • They wear masks to prevent the spread of illness if they are sick, and allergies. Since this video was taped in March, it was probably done to protect them from allergens.

  • its because in japan its polite to wear masks when sick so others around them will not get sick

  • I wish we did that here. i've already had the flu twice this summer and i'm one of those people who rarely get sick. Hadn't had the flu in 6 years till this summer.

  • They celebrate St Patrick's Day in Japan?? Holy cac!

  • Oh man, loving the Irish song. Wish I coulda bin dere

  • It is very nice that we get to see your father on YouTube. Since I don't have Japanese Language pack I must say something like this "Kakko no iihito desune"

  • if you have vista its already installed just go to language settings and enable the japanese IME, in xp you need to download it, just lookup Japanese IME for xp.

  • I never thought Japanese people celebrate St. Patrick Day when I was growing up there. I guess time can change people. Great video!!!

  • Your dad looks awesomely Irish. XD

  • If I asked "why?" i'm pretty sure the answer would be "cuz its Japan."

  • An Irish Song! Woot. Love it! Go Brian!

  • It seems, or probably feels, like everytime I'm loggin' on to Youtube somebody have made a "St Patrick's day"-video. You got it all sorted out, St. Patrick's day 2-3 times a week, sweeeet! ;>

  • i spoke in Irish all night, y'know.

  • Had to have a shot of wiskey for this video!

Yes I did do it 4mins in !

    Love the song!

  • Japanese people are looking for any reason to have a parade?

  • Japan has bigger celebrations for St. Patrick's Day than I would have ever imagined! But I guess if there is a celebration to drink, Japan is in! Great vid and song!

  • Looked like an awesome time. I'm not sure if anything happened here in Kobe for it. I think next year I'll head up to Kyoto for their St. Paddy's Parade and festivities.
