If we had to go and kill our animals for food then 90% of us would be vegetarians. The other 10% would be either sociopathic CEO's of corporations or prisoners.
And he said "Let there be White...andandand ... Snow!... andandand ...Fur! Yes, let there be White and Snow and Fur andandand,,, let it be Just So. And he saw it was Good...the White, and the Fur, and the Snow. And so it was. Just so.
Beautiful... Simply beautiful... I'd kill to have the tone and control you possess! If I attempted to play this peice, I'd bet I'd be breathing in the middle of every phrase, hehe... But you're probably YEARS ahead of me, though.. XD
That bunny is just ADORABLE... His cuteness almost distracts you from the peice altogether... Cute little thunderstealer! *ahem* Anyways, well done! You've made my dull day a little more exciting! :)
I feel like that bunny right now, all alone and sourrounded by cold. All I can do is take care of myself. The best part is when he tries to sleep in peace, but he knows that he can't, because he doesn't feel safe enough. I knew the melody before I found this beautiful video, it makes me think a lot.
I wonder if you had ten different people watch this in a room, and then without discussing it, have them write down their thoguhts about it, that it would be a good mirror of how each person felt. Especially since the music is so evocative.
well yes they do clean it but not in the middle of a dangerous snowy landscape only in their den. this rabbit must have lived something deeply shocking not long ago. anyways.
@SeanPerrin That's a very gentlemanly way of responding to someone who's obviously hurting and wants to strike back at the world in some retaliatory way. There are people who don't take kindly to others who seem to be enjoying themselves...
Aymericism - I'm glad at your concern for the rabbit! But Sean is correct, I keep rabbits and this one is certainly fine, if it's stressed it wouldn't be cleaning itself and nosing around at it's leisure, it would be flattened and looking around itself wide eyed. Just chilling out in it's natural environment
Thank you, Sean, for your beautiful playing and letting us watch the rabbit. I saw Wheeldon's ballet "After the Rain" last night and have been listening to/watching your video all day. Many tears, but tears of joy and gratitude for this creativity.
This is not true... there is no thudding in this recording as the pedal was left down the entire time. Any "thudding" you hear is either due to the fact that you can hear the piano hammers too well due to mic placement, or is imagined for the sake of your argument.
Either way, it's a great piece, yes... one of my favorites.
I had not heard the clarinet arrangement before, and it is beautiful. You certainly did Arvo's piece justice. The video is very very beautiful, and somehow fitting. Thank you for sharing.
I love this music, absolute beauty, and the rabbit is so peaceful, they are lovely animals...where was he filmed? What a relaxing way to spend 8 minutes! Thank you Xx
Lovely. I'm sitting up with insomnia, and this has really relaxed me.

its not relaxing at all. rabbits as cats clean their fur when they're stressed out.
this vid is horrible, its like watching a miserable man, poor, starving and alone on a very beautiful music.

LOL probably true, but i don't here any particular thudding in that other version.

I hear more thudding in this version than the version recorded in the synogogue.
I don't think that's bad - they're both fine performances so don't get cocky.

Hi!
I am very happy to listen this piece for clarinet. When I heard it the first time I thought it wasn't possible to play with clarinet, but you did it!
Did you do the arrangement yourself?
It is so simple but so difficult to play!
By the way, great sound!
Regards!
Ravel18 3 years ago
I was going to arrange it for this recital, but discovered that Pärt himself did the arrangement for clarinet and piano in 2003...
I'm glad that you like it... it's an EXCELLENT piece. One of my all-time favourites.
