The singer is a gal named mary Detavis who now goes by Mary Born. Band was awesome too. We just didn't have the stars line up for us. The whole album exists actually but was never released.

I think people have finally realized it aint about fame just makeing good music. I would definetly support u guys. @Kampster32 - My research on the net has found that the writer of the song is Mary D and that it's performed by Coal. I couldn't find anything that says that she's one of the band members or says she's the singer (except for comments on Youtube). All I could find about them is they're from Vancouver.

A site mentions they formed in 1990. It also states that Nicole Steen is the vocals/guitar. So, I made an asumption.
@IrishlassyColleen The band is called COAL, the only song I have heard is off Chasing Amy. Its a great movie and the song is used perfectly, check it out.
This is, flat out, easily, in my top ten favs of all time. Class dismissed.
